Fridays are my adventure day with Mr 4 so I decided to take him to Long Bay to do some caching... or 'treasure hunting' as he calls it Smile I was aware that there is a nudist beach at the Northern end so didn't take him that far Wink

This was the 8th find of the day. I had attempted this one before but there had been way too many muggles... luckily today was muggle free. I spotted something unusual and, sure enough, it was the cache, TFTC!

06-Feb-17
2nd one for today. Nice walk along the path by the beach. Took me awhile to attempt this as it was a popular day for this... nicely hidden.

Great walk up the mountain and down to find this cache. Thanks for the walk snd cache. ...from australia

13-Jan-17
My third cache for the day on my mission to find as many caches as possible in Long Bay. Sadly due to muggles and the unpredicatble weather I didn't get to find as many as I would have liked but I'm happy with the 7 that I did.
Was happily walking along when I saw a gate with a sign saying path closed due to unstable cliff. "Oh no", I thought, "why didn't someone warn me about this?"
Rechecked my gps - phew - I'd walked further than I had thought. Quickly back tracked and soon spotted something strange. After a bit of investigation, sure enough, there was the container. I soon completed the business of signing the log and nestled the cache back into it's home.
TFTC in this amazing park.

30-Dec-16
Finished work early and came for a walk around Long Bay. Got spotted by a runner going past, after we found it, who knew what we were doing already!

30-Dec-16
Confused by the clue for this one, we used our mobile devices to work out what it meant and it wasn't long before Furbies spotted the suspicious looking item and sent me in to inspect it further. We were even spotted by a runner who asked if we had found it yet - either a cacher himself or knows all about it Smile

Thanks for the hide.

30-Dec-16
Easy walk up the hill to GZ. We didn't know what the clue meant, so Mr Google was called into action, and upon reading the Mr.G. It was obvious.

Soon had cache in hand, a runner went by asking if we found it... Another cacher? We will never know.

TFTC, and Happy New Year Glyn.

03-Dec-16
Easy find and well described

20-Nov-16
I had a pretty good idea of what I needed to look for here and was pleased to see something that matched and so made a quick find.

20-Nov-16
Merlot58 triggered onto the hint before I did. I shall blame the sun and heat Big Grin. A nice straightforward find just off the trail.

02-Nov-16

15-Oct-16
Good find, thanks!

03-Oct-16
Nice geocache hunting along the cliffs despite some quick and violent rain showers, the soil is full of water, please stop raining !! Wink

We came back by the beach at low tide, a lovely walk.

Fefe.adrien and I signed on logbooks : Lekiprokos.

Tftc Smile

03-Oct-16
Despite the rain and the mud, Ninalila and I tried to find as many caches as possible during our walk.
All the boxes were easy to find, and we didnt searched the one with a previous DNF to avoid wasting time under the rain Wink We had to hide under trees a few times because we were already wet haha
We came back by the beach with the low tide.
Almost at the end of the track, we spent some time feeding cows with some yummy plants Wink

We signed the logbook with our team name : lekiprokos

Thank you for the cache and the discovery

Time wasn't on my side. Gps was playing up a little. I found the hint but no luck with cache. I will be back. Watch out for the vegetation it likes to cling to you.

18-Mar-16

Today it was my very first day at New Zealand and in the afternoon I decided to do a little walk at Long Bay Regional park. And it was a pleasure! What a lovely landscape! But it was funny, because you can find nearly the same in southern England. Only the plants are a little bit different.

But I enjoyed every moment and I' also was glad to pick up 14 caches (out of 20 I tried). Usually my hit ratio is higher, but for the first day in a foreign country (and a 24 hour flight) it was quite okay.

Thanks a lot for all the caches and greetings from Germany.
dG

PS: Nice camouflage!

After the Christmas cache event today we went for a walk with a few friends to find a few of the long bay caches, as various injuries and ache and pains allowed! [B)]

NewlynFam and Miss NZT made this find and as it was getting pretty warm we decided to head back. Spotted a couple of other caches on the way back and our caching group was growing! TFTC!

Well, you have to be REALLY clumsy to have an unexpected meeting with Mr. Long Drop here. It's not so close as I thought it would be. Very Happy No idea what does the hint mean.

Thanks for the cache!

20-Dec-15
After the pre-Christmas catch up event nearby, a few fellow cachers and I decided to go for a bit of a walk around this gorgeous spot and find a few caches.

We enjoyed a lesiurley walk up the track and some lovely views- where we had to do the tourist thing and stop to take some photos (as opposed to the geocacher thing where you just stare at your GPS/ phone Razz ). Before long, we arrived at GZ and spotted something that looked like it could be hiding a cache... Miss NZTravellers and I were the honourary retrievers this time round, and so cache was indeed retrieved, cool container and camo admired, log signed, and we carried on our way.

Thanks for the nice little stroll through the bush, G-2!!! Big Grin

18-Dec-15
Nice view:-)

15-Dec-15
Schools out for summer. Kiwiscot & friends enjoying an afternoon caching at Long Bay. One of the children caching with us had no idea what a kiwi long drop was so we had fun educating him. Fortunately the long drop involved here was not the same. Nice quick find. Muggle cachers impressed with camo job. TFTC

18-Oct-15
TFTC caching with rustynz, Gorby and harisree.

18-Oct-15
We took a short detour to this cache, only to pass this way again after we had turned back, after finding the furtherest find for the day. A bit of negotiating past these stock fences, then with the help of the clue, I reached down and found the cache! very clever camo, all nicely shaded under the trees. Loving the park, and the company of rebel98, Gorby and harisree!

18-Oct-15
had an amazing day of caching here with rustynz, rebel98 and gorby. while logging this, we are wondering that why did we actually take detour to find this one?. k.. whatever. we really loved this one with a good camo. tftc. Smile

18-Oct-15
Love the title of this G! I was looking around for the type of long drop that ones does a long plop. Then I come to realise the long drop refers to the type of drop that wouldn't take long and the drop off would probably include a death - mine! So I stayed away from that scenario, and instead got to the cache - which didn't take long to find, we then dropped it back, but not over the long drop....... CoolCoolCoolCool

22-Jul-15

15-Feb-15
We had come up the hill on the new track earler this morning so had not been close to this cache. We had to wait while another group went through the nearby gate before we began to look for the cache. Soon spotted something of interest and got the cache signed and returned before anyone else came along. After that we carried on down the old coastal track. Thanks.

04-Dec-14
On a fantastic walk along Long Bay's Nature Trail this cute installation could easily be spotted with "European" eyes Big Grin Nice!! [^]

Sjc geocaching camp. Like how it is hidden.

This was a bit of a novelty for our boys, they didn't realise containers could be creatively camoed like this one, a few even took photos. Thanks for placing it.

12-Oct-14
Saw what looked like the hiding place for the cache and sure enough had it in hand.

18-May-14
Out caching on a sunny afternoon. Took a bit of looking around, because our GPS was a bit off with this one. Knew what to look for because of some of the comments. TFTC.

11-May-14
Hint was not very concrete.

07-May-14
Pretty cunning. TYFTC

13-Apr-14
Some people were laying out a treasure trail across the paddock near this cache site. They used a piece of concrete to hold their paper on the ground. Guess what was attached to the concrete? I quickly replaced the concrete with a rock and put the cache back in the place I think it may have come from...hopefully????

13-Apr-14
Second find of the trail. I loved the title, haha. Neat little hide again, good work. TFTC.

05-Apr-14
Nicely hidden, thanks for the cache

23-Mar-14
Decided a bit of a walk was in order today, to get fitness levels up for our upcoming SA Mega Trip. Thought the day was going to reasonably overcast.... NOT.... So this was our first stop on what became a 3 hour hike today in the searing sun. Great camo on this one. SL. TFTC. Big Grin

22-Mar-14
I'm glad that there was no actual long drop that we had go go searching near. This construction will be around forever. Cheers for the cache.

16-Feb-14
Thank goodness I had internet access to google the clue (dlue). The cache, when I spotted it, reminded me of that bit inThe Shawshank Redemption, about looking for a rock that had no earthly business in a Maine hayfield...

15-Feb-14
Out with my sister soaking up the sun, trying to put a dent in some of the long bay caches. This was the forth of 9.

Had no idea what the clue meant so I went in blind (well, I still had GPS which helped). My sister spotted a likely looking trail in and so she waited while I went and hit my head on tree branches.

Quick find, like the camo.

Appreciate how easy the log was to get out, sometimes this is the longest part.

TFTC

05-Feb-14
Nice cache, good hide Smile

29-Jan-14

19-Jan-14
Quick find on a beautiful summers day. Some of the cache fell apart as pick up. Still ok though

06-Jan-14
Cool hiding place. Nice walk Smile

05-Jan-14
Another nice hide. Hot sticky overcast day, but not too many people around. The cache has developed a bit of a geotrail so wasn't too hard to find. Signed log with wrong year by mistake!

05-Jan-14
A cunning little hade once again & nicely placed.

T4tC Smile
