Well the day was getting away and we needed a find for the day. We parked on the hosiptal side and soon found the track in despite the building works occuring at the hospital nearby. We descended into the lovely fern filled shady gully and followed the zig zags down to the bridge to find the GPSr was still a but further away. We continued to follow the needle and once at GZ we found it after a quick search. The GPSr settle fairly close to the cache. The contents were wet apart from the log which was protected by the zip lock bag. We completed the signing duties and then replaced. TFTC
Reperio at 0840.
After stopping by 'Abseilers Delight', I headed around to this one, and loved the walk down to GZ amongst the trees. Passed by two muggles who were headed up, and while they initially stopped to have a chat right on the bridge, they soon moved on. GZ wasn't quite where I was expecting, but soon located it sitting out in the open.

We parked in the retirement village, and followed a path down to the three caches nearby.
This one was an easy find, a pity that the container had water in it, but all was OK with the log.
Thanks gwegener123.

Approached with the voucher and flytosyd by walking up the stream bed. Not a lot of water was flowing today. Real pretty location. Thanks to the voucher for coming up with the find. TFTC
This was first published as I was on a plane a few months ago otherwise I would have been in the race for FTF. I'd been saving it since then for a close to home find for the calendar on a day I couldn't go far.
I had a reccie during the week and spotted the hide (so many better spots nearby, why hide it there I wonder?) and today I did the short zigzag walk down from Mt Pleasant Ave which is a shortcut to the San, and on to GZ. Signed and drained the condensation out of the lid. Contents getting pretty wet. Ziplock is protecting the log at least.
TB has been taken by last finder but not logged out.
Thanks!

Continued from School Creek and Abseilers to get to this one. Thanks for a really pleasant walk. Found in a bit if an unusual spot after checking all the likely one's. Took TB TFTC
Not quite as close to the creek and bridge as I expected but we persisted, went with the GPS and found it. SLTN TFTC
The satellites weren't helping me a great deal here with GZ apparently on the path with all the trees interfering. Like others I looked at the satellite picture on the smartphone to narrow down the search area and had the cache in a few minutes. Pleasant spot I didn't know about before, thanks gwegener123.
Started looking a little further up the hill, following very obvious unsuccessful caching paths but I was led a little lower and there it was.
1 out of 3 ice creams found
This is a very nice managed piece of bushland
Thanks for bringing me here.

Failing light got better of me.... Another day tftc according to my gps I was right on it but I clearly wasn't
Didn't trust my GPS down in the valley and so I used google maps to estimate how many meters from the bridge which ended up been right on the spot. The cache was very well hidden under its new camo but definitely a great place to hang out.
Found by the Unfab Four.
A lovely area with lots of tracks etc through rather interesting bushland.
Thanks for bringing us here.

Based on previous logs I headed straight for the bush rather than the creek. The Garmin yet again wouldn't get a GPS lock, and the iPhone was going from 1m to 20m without hesitation or movement. It took a while to find the container (which is more of a medium than a large), at about 7m. I signed the log and put it into a ziploc bag I had brought along, taking and leaving nothing. TFTC!
Having not found a cache for over a month, I thought I better snag a couple on the way home today. This was an easy walk down from Fox Valley Rd for a straight forward find. Quite a few hospital patients seem to enjoy the stroll too. Wandered on from this one to the new one nearby too. Thanks gwegener123
Ah.... how much simpler geocaching is without a 3 year old! This time we made a quick find right in the area we were going to "have one last look"! The cache was out in the open so we added a couple of leaves on top.... I'm worried the log book might become damp without being in a plastic bag, but I didn't have one to use today. After the find we walked downstream and past the caves - finally spotted some handprints up high.... then trekked back up to the retirement village then along a leafy path to the road. TFTC and we'll be back for some more exploring! Left some toys and a TB!
Came in from the west side, down the path to the bridge. What a nice clean piece of bush and creek. Of course the cache isn't that far down so I had to baktrak until the GPS pointed into the bush. The cache was easy to find without trampling the flora and I sat on the naturally upholstered rock and did the paperwork. Surprised none of the other locals had visited yet. Maybe they're all out of town. Nice of the owners to allow our use of this beautiful place. TFTC

Saw this published and was tempted to find it yesterday, but the timing just didn't work.... so we headed over today at noon... my "helpers" were not much help and the iPhone was bouncing all over the place... the kids loved playing in the water and although we looked in many "obvious" spots we couldn't spot the cache... now after reading BakTrak's log it seems we may have been looking too low.... We had also entered from the Normanhurst end and as we were walking back I suggested we look in "one more spot" but the kids had had enough so back up the hill we went.... It such a great place though and I'm not too sad about having to go back again to look. As we were playing by the water we met a few walkers and they said that further down stream are some indigenous rock carvings and some "really cool tunnels"... so we'll have to check that out next time!!
Thanks for bringing us here!

Published at 11.02am, I was just at my desk when I saw the email. Hmmm....closer to Yurt than me. I sent him a message to see if he was around and after no answer decided to jet off and try my luck. Needed a calendar find anyway. Managed to drive into the SAN Hospital and found a 'free' park. Walked (ran) following the arrow and followed the path down. Then saw a photographer and thought he might be a cacher, but no he WAS a photographer. He moved on and I moved in.
Off the track, I came in from bellow and spied the cache. Grabbed it and saw what I thought was another cachers name, but no, it was the CO's notes. AHHH...that only means one thing FTF AWESOME !!!! SL at 11.58am, 46min after published, Took the GC to move on, LN. Thanx for showing me this place awegener123. On the way back, I then noticed the Private Propery sign. It says free to use path and tracks at your own risk. Not sure about cache placing permission, but a great spot none the less. TFTC.
