Heading to Girraween for a long weekend of hiking and exploring. Quick find along the way thanks to the hint. Tftc Aussie LiahonaFind #5939
Out for a little ride around Stanthorpe (well not so little) as we cruised out to Undercliffe Falls and then back to do a very enjoyable circuit route.Right where the clue said.
After living in the area for almost 9 years, I finally came to Liston for an activity and stayed for some caching!Signed both logs - the original log and the replacement log! And both were hidden together! Easy to find but we needed a long skinny hand to retrieve! But we did and everything was signed and replaced. Both caches & logs in good condition!
On my way to Bald Rock I had some time to cache along the way.
Four years since I travelled this road last.
Much greener today
Find number 29497 for me.
Thank you Aussie Liahona - for hiding this geocache.

This one is a little bit trickier. Got to look right in all the holes within the poles. But good and smart find
sorry couldn't follow the 'surf' part of the name but doesn't really matter, it didn't stop me from finding the cache! I managed to leave my phone behind here, as I patted down my shorts to make sure I had it (no I didn't) I was doing my best to drop the front of the car into the ditch. With Rainforest Cookie suggesting LOUDLY I concentrate, I swerved and averted danger at the last minute. I hadn't even seen the ditch! After collecting my phone I noticed it would have been a bit tricky to get out of with my 2wd work Ute ....and certainly hard to explain to my fleet manager.
Nevertheless I have another smiley which is what counted in the end. lol

Out and about for a Sunday Drive, border hopping today, wanted to targer Liston and Amosfield, then on to Stanthorpe. 10 finds, 3 dnfs, and a write note for the day. Happy with that.
Thanks to the clue, we have finally broken the drought along this road.
Thanks for the chance to search for this hide and the drive along this beautiful country road.

We visited today to check on the health of the cache. We were on a maintenance visit and replaced a few containers and added new logs where necessary.
Cheers and happy caching!

Thanks to the hints, I managed to find this one quite quickly, however, retrieving it from its resting place took quite some time. A little fishing definitely was required.

This cache was found on our way to Bold Rock. Very tranquil surroundings and the cache was quickly in our hands. Thank you for bringing us here.
Wandering the backroads near the border on a sunny day.
Took a pic of the old wooden chute. Then found the cache in its hidey hole.

Kestal and I headed south from Toowoomba on a numbers grab for her next milestone...a quick find thanks to the very helpful hint. Kestal caught on to the inspiration for the cache name...very clever . TFTC Aussie Liahona.
Eskies5 and I planned a trip to Stanthorpe and surrounding areas to nudge me a little closer to a milestone. With the nudge now being a push this was the forty-eighth stop of what would be 58 finds for the day for me. Found this cache at 11:38am our time and 12:38pm caches time, grateful Eskies5 read the information in the cache description and hint as I’m sure I would have been searching for a much longer time. All signed and returned. TFTC
Took a little while to find but find we did. Nice surf at Bondi and turf.

Having managed to prise the cache from its hiding place with two fingers, I would have rsted it as a micro, but it is small! Signed the log and replaced. TFTC.
Our maintenance team have very kindly visited this geocache and replaced it for which we are very grateful. Many thanks to Team Robins who have taken the time for us in their very busy schedule. Cheers and happy caching!
We are in touch with our maintenance assistants and will add a note shortly.
Sad to say it looks like this one has been muggled. We'll try to replace it asap. In the meantime, we are sorry for the inconvenience and keep geocaching with a smile.
Out geocaching with Baby & Mrs Gopher, after a very pleasant event. 4 of us searched for quite a while with success. Thanks to Aussie Liahona

We were wondering about the name of this cache and as soon as we saw the street name it all fell into [place
We were taken aback when we suddenly saw the container - gosh how has that lasted here for so long!
Thanks Aussie Liahona.

OK - no more decon containers for us. Cache container has been replaced with something that has stood the test of time in other locations.
Drove here to do a maintenance check on the cache.
All is good and it's ready for the next visitor.

Needs Maintenance. The log is very wet. Luckily it is water proof. Unfortunately a lot of people who sign the log don't use a waterproof writing stick.
OK - my opinion of these containers is now confirmed. I will attempt to replace it, however, in the meantime, can geocachers make sure they:
PLACE THE CONTAINER UPRIGHT TO MINIMISE THE POSSIBILITY OF WATER ENTERING THE CONTAINER PLEASE.

After a bite to eat, we were back on our way to grab a few more caches. Again my partner's in caching were kind enough to stop for me to grab a couple i hadn't gotten around on on the way. Cache was soon in hand and the water emptied from it. Having the waterproof log in the container meant it was all still quite good and able to be written on. Dried it as much as i could and we continued on our way. Admittedly the reason for the name did have to be pointed out to be. Aha, very clever. Thanks again.
It was getting close to lunch time when we arrived here. Oh how I wished for some steak and prawns. I almost expected the cache description to end with Happy eating... But we had some Happy caching instead!

This was the final run for home & we wanted it to be a good one!
It was time for a few more caches. LOL ...

Arrived at some of the historical workings for the area.
Day 2 of the return trip to Stanthorpe to collect the caches we couldn't find during the Mega weekend, due to lack of rain and too much rain, and to see off Team Robins on their epic adventure around Australia. Today the plan was to collect Stan's apples and a few other caches before heading off to Team Robins for an event to see them off on their adventure.
Thanks Aussie Liahona for the cache.

A quick trip to Stanthorpe for the traditional but a little early Xmas in July event for 2015. I took the opportunity to tackle the caches along the once was Mt Lindsay Highway but is now Mt Lindsay Road.
I had travelled the dirt section while at the mega to get to Bald Rock but that was just about sight-seeing. Today was different. I saw the sunrise at Amberley, bypassed the traffic jam at Aratula and made a beeline for Liston and the nearby Undercliife Falls. I headed south to Tenterfield and tackled everything along the way, before heading north to Robins Nest and the event and the overnight stay.
The yards were empty today and I don't Bondi is really down the road.
Thanks for placing this cache Aussie Liahona

A great spot for a cache, I love the old weathered infrastructure around these parts. As Ghostgums and I moved in for the hunt, I quickly spotted the container and while signing the log, pondered whether the surrounding system was still in use… [?]
Thanks for making us stop at a neat little place.
Cheers Aussie Liahona.

Today we did some post Mega caching finding 83 and 2 DNFs caches. Our aim today was to try and finish the caches on the eastern side of Stanthorpe to Tenterfield and return. We enjoyed the journey that the cache locations took us to.
We appreciate the time and effort gone into placing and maintaining these caches for our enjoyment.

QLD Mega trip 2015 with Sol de Lune. On this almost 400km road trip we drove from Canberra to Stanthorpe caching in all the towns along the way with mostly great success. Around the Mega there were heaps of caches to be done including a few power trails. Despite the weather we got all of the planned caches done.
Day eleven took us back north to do more of the trails. We ere joined by Rapidlywild and SpecimenX for the morning. After a creative drive to get to our starting point we powered through all of the remaining animals by lunch. Then it was back to town to head our different ways. Sold De Lune and I headed out to the Bald rock road to do the remaining caches out that way. Thanks.
