The coastal track on seaward side of rail has basically be eroded away and claimed the cache so archived.
In Timaru for an overnights family adventure. Stayed the night in the Top10 ...up and atoms and packed up & time to head out to Saltwater creek for another family bike ride before heading back home. Boys loving the adventure. Took a few minutes to find a goat track to follow from the back track out to the front (by the cemetery), but got there in the end.....plenty of coastal erosion here - not much track left!! Quick find and sign here. Cheers. Cool beach.
Hello from the UK. Travelling around NZ for 5 weeks grabbing caches where I can. I don't know why I followed the geotrails into the bush. Even made my way to the centre. Easy find once I opened my eyes. TFTC
Not the friendliest of bush...
Walked past it many times, but always crawling with muggles

The track is starting to get eaten away but the waves, made for a slow bike ride. Expecially since the normal track is shut. Cheers, last of the day in Timaru. Time to beetle back to Ashvegas for the event.
In Timaru for work. Just over two years ago I was here doing the same thing, and walked these tracks. A few days later, my friend introduced me to Geocaching and now I can walk the track again with a new purpose! Track has been severely eroded in places! Tftc
Found with StreetWalker on our Queens birthday weekend trip down south.
I think the gravel path has deteriorated since this cache was placed - in places it seems the sea is winning the battle. Cache was a quick find in the obvious place. TFTC.

#15653. I'm afraid the coastal walkway is rather munted these days. We found some remnants that offered easy walking, but most of the walkway is either washed away or buried in sand. A quick find. TFTC.
Strong wind turned the beach into a makeshift sandblaster. Just more fun for the adventure. TFTC
Day 7 [final day] of our geocaching holiday down south for the Oamaru Geofest 2017. Heading north now, back home to the Bay of Plenty. A most enjoyable walk - thank you for bringing us here.
In Timaru for the weekend and after lunch we ventured here for a walk before heading home. Nice quick find. TFTC
Found a few weeks back, not sure what day. Sea was absolutely roaring then anyway. Good hide. TFTC found with heyhaynz
Lovely deep red sunset by the time I was here. Cache is dry and well maintained. Cheers
Found it in the only spot it could have been. But nearly got sprung by a Muggle, just as we were leaving..TFTH
Found this cache when we where walking down the shore during our vacation in NZ. Tftc!
It was time to get on the bike for a nice ride downstream beside the Saltwater Creek. Had to leave the bike beside the railway line by the walkway bridge and hiked it to the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.

1006 Enjoying the walk along the river collecting caches. Great view along the beach
Number 100 for me ! Easy find as my grandson, Eddie aged 4, remembered its location having found cache a couple of years ago with his father
Every day we are traveling around is same but also different. Today we had again the pleasure to visit some very beautiful spots and were also able to find nearly placed geocaches. I thank every single owner for placing it and giving us with doing this an other good reason to come here.
Mallorcatommy and I were on our journey through the southern island of New Zealand. With the help of geocaches we came to so many beautiful places, saw breath-taking landscapes and had, all in all a very wonderful journey! Thank you to all owners for placing all those nice geocaches!
I found this during my morning run. I had no problems with this one. TFTC!
A pounding sea has kept a constant attack on the walkway but this cache should be ok for a few years yet.
In Timaru for a Daffodil Show, out for a walk to do some caches along this beach. Thanks for the cache.
An hour or two free between lunch and "Heavy Metal" time. Enough to complete the loop and a beautiful afternoon - no real problems finding any of them. Thanks.
Found at 3:57:00 p.m. on 10/05/2014.

A quick jog from the bridge had Slydog.007 finding it pretty quickly, love the colour! With Slydog.007, Jackie987 and Moustachecashstash.
I got the photo but PC Sniff was the one who got the cache. Nice spot for a walk. Thanks for placing this one
This was the fiifth stop as Mrs BaldEd enjoyed the walk around the Saltwater track loop. TFTC
A quick find on a wet stormy day - the crashing of the waves made the views on the walk amazing. TFTC and the series that bought me out here for a walk after work - what a way to blow the cobwebs away - still no muggles to be seen.
