All good here, cache found at most obvious location. Bush has grown over the 'entrance' quite a bit, so take a deep bow or let a little one do the hard work, like we did tftc!
This one made the trip worthwhile. The lower entrance to the cache is full of gorse. You have been warned. TFTC.
I have been eyeing up this hill for some time, and finally came for a walk! Nice views! TFTC!!
Gave it a favourite partly for the view and partly for the fact I made it and geo mum found it. Left some swaps for kids that make it here too
Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I now live full-time in our caravan & travel the country visiting places we want to visit … we are now parked up at the NZMCA Campsite at Murchison for a couple of days, exploring in & around the local area … we decided to walk a couple of the local walking tracks to check out the scenery … and this track sure delivered … we thought it would be rude not to check out some caches … found with no issues, log signed & returned … pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally … TFTC ... TN:LN:SL ... #2,369 for us.
Fantastic views, beautiful day for caching, shame we weren't more successful with the track finds. Left dry paper for log, pencil and TB
Thanks for putting out this cache for woolwood9 and I to find????SL tm/ww NZ (may just be a black smudge on the many wet or plastic logs)Great geocaching holiday driving / walking around the area, we enjoyed the caches.*We soon had another good cache located!*
There was a friendly woman up here when we arrived, but while the others were talking to her I was able to grab the container behind her back without her watching me.
Unfortunately wet log as well and quite damaged.
Thanks for making us stop here on the way to Westport. Nice walk and great views!

This weekend was a solo mission to escape wet weather back home on the east coast.... Worked my way from Blenheim - Reefton - Greymouth - Rapahoe - Carters Beach/Westport and now heading home via Murchison. Was going to do this track on Friday on the way to the coast but it was pouring... so grabbing the opportunity today on a fine day. Track is wet but not too slippery. Last one today - and for the weekend... great view from the top.

Found while geocaching with NZDi. Earlier in the week (actually yesterday) NZDi told me to sort out a days geocaching which didn't involve a long walk in the bush. My initial plan was a little over ambitious and involved a couple of short walks in the vicinity of Lake Rotoiti to mop up some new placements since we last cleaned the area out. Then go on to Lake Rotoroa and do the Braeburn Track to Murchison. Once in Murchison we would do the Skyline Walkway, and in between the various components we would pick up a few caches along the way.
Fortunately we realised this was a little ambitious and decided to drop the two short walks at the Lake but would do the rest. We could have probably done one of the Lake walks on the way home had we not spent too much time looking for a bunch of this CO's unfound and unmaintained caches, but I've already said enough about that.
This was the last part of our mission today, apart from maybe a few PnGs on the way home. NZDi noticed the track up the hill when we got the cache in the car park back in January and has had this other foursome on her radar ever since. As we approached the seat, c:geo indicated GZ was a further 18m away, so I pushed through the gorse and found a track along the fence. The distance to zero was getting closer without the hinted item being found, then suddenly it was 18 metres back there. It was about then NZDi said 'Found it' without the benefit of a temperamental electronic device. Great views from up here.

That was a really good climb with some awesome vistas along the way...thanks BW for the nice trail of caches
This cache must like escaping as it was found out in the open again. Hooefully the rock will keep it from wandering. Thanks for the placement bumandworker
Great view ,kids were well done in for when we reached here cache nice and easily found log getting damp
It was time to go for a huff and puff walk up the Skyline Track. The day started off being nicely cloudy and a bit cool.
A nice view of Murchison from here.
Cheers for the cache.

Always the way when you can see one hilltop from the other. There will be a down and up in between
Spontaniusly walked up here. Didn't even know about that cache and just checked the app for fun.
It's still there and in a good shape.

Stupendous views, and the end of the line. Q E F as per the hint and the only place it could be really. Replaced as found and raced back to the car. T F T C b&w.
For some reason I'd thought that this was a loop walkway, but we managed a respectable 40 minutes up - lots of sweating and heat, and then a perky 20 minutes back down. A decent enough walkway and well worth stopping off for to grab the proffered treasures.
Gotta love these long 3-day weekends, only happen a few times a year but always a chance to get out and about, and find some caches too. Todays effort involved me hosting daughter Livi as Mum is at work all day, so a trip to Murhison was mooted as a possible destination, and Livi was keen too. Headed off at around 8.30 and after navigating all those roadworks we got to Murch (after a couple of 'compulsory' stops, of course) just in time to grab lunch before we set off for a riverside walk, followed by a quick trip to the skyline. Even managed to grab a FTF on the way home after a fortuitous recent listing.

The Lions Club should feel proud of this track, it is a great asset to the area. I imagine it is much used by tourists and locals. Awesome views from up here - - - they'll be even more awesome when / if the track continues on up. TFTC .
Its all happening in Murchison today! Turns out its show day - so there's the market, side shows, giant blow up slides, horse jumping and everything else going on below. A great day for it all but I'm glad I'm up here out of the crowd however a yummy hotdog wouldn't go a miss after the slog up here. TFTC #8072
Great views. None of the log books were full. It wasn't until we were on our way down that we thought about taking any photos. The walk is well worth while.
Continued along to here to enjoy the view. Very nice spot.
Thanks bumandworker for the cache.

A great spot especially as we could enjoy the fabulous views from the comfort of the seat. I got here after SW and wondered where the cache was - but he hadn't even looked for it yet! So I had to find it (no worries as the co-ords were good and it was a quick find in the first place I looked).
We sat and read up about the first cache on the track to see if we could glean any info about it as we had failed to find it on the way up. Got some pointers which confirmed where we should be looking, so started heading back down with renewed hope.
Thanks for the lovely walk and views today, B&W, well worth putting out a wee trail of caches to entice people up here. TFTC.

#9116. I thought I was lagging behind (after taking a while to rehide the previous cache) and was puzzled when I got to GZ and could see no sign of Troodles. Turned out she'd taken a short detour to a lookout near the previous cache, and I hadn't noticed. Another good place to sit and sign the log. Good to finally do this series (usually we only have enough time in Murchison to do the a drive by or two). TFTC.
Cruising to Takaka, had an hour or so to spare so decided to do the skyline. A really nice walkway, under shade most of the way. A quick find thanks. A favouite for the view
Waitangi Weekend, off to Golden Bay for a spot of caching.
Thanks for the hide.

Drove down from Mot today to do some walks around Murchison. This was our first cache in this area and we enjoyed the walk and the scenery very much. Thank you for bringing us down this way and special thanks for placing this cache. This gets a favourite point from us.
Last find on this great track today. We sat briefly to take in the views then headed off down hill again. This is a walk I have been going to do for sometime but time was never on my side when passing through Murchison. A favourite point for the encouragement to get me up here, finally!. TFTC.
The Skyline Walk has been on my to-do list longer than I care to remember yet has never been done but today was the day. An enjoyable workout with fantastic views. A fav. TFTC
Made the find and was just sitting down to do the paperwork when a "jogger" arrived. Gave me one heck of a fright. If she'd been sixty seconds earlier she would have caught me in a very compromising position A quick exchange of pleasantries. She tightened her laces and was off back down the hill. Now where was I? That's right; filling out the log.
Last time I was here we were treated to Kaka flying through the canopy. Not today. Great view and track is in very good nick for a pleasant walk.

The Skyline walkway is so scenic and such good exercise. The geocaches brought me up here. Thanks from this Canadian!
A quick find that the end of the track. Sat and admired the view for a few minutes before retracing my steps. Signed log, TFTC!
Hot day made for a hot walk, but it will be added to my favourites. Well worth the effort to get to the top
It was very hot up here today but the views were worth the effort. I look foward to returning when the track is extended. TFTC
Found it during my kiwi traveling. TFTC :

great view up here today. i should have been fishing just over there, instead of caching.tftc
From the summit we did the walk to this viewpoint. It was a nice walk up here. Thanks for hiding the box
I have been up this track once before for another cache (which is still safe and sound). Back up again to get 3 more. This was the 3nd one. End of the track and end of my caching day too. GPS pointed in the right direction and I could see where the cache probably was and it was. TFTC, Biggles.
4th for the walk and another FTF for Stretch0 - really should take the GPS off him lol !!!! mind you I was busy sitting on the seat getting my breath back and mainly admiring the view rain still holding off so spent a few mins admiring the view and eyeing the hill behind where the walk may go to in the future ( looks steep lol) Thanks for 3rd FDF of the walk for me enjoyed the walk up here and the cache
A great spot where we managed to sit awhile and have a snack and drink before the return trip down the hill Quickly located the cache and signed and it was my 3rd FTF and FDF for the day Rain still holding off for us and we managed a view down ont Murch TFTC
Just after leaving this area we bumped into another couple of walkers who had stumbled onto a KIWI on the track which was more attentive of the food then them! Alas no sign of it on our return down the hill but put even more excitement into the day with the possibility of a sighting So keep your eyes peeled and camera handy in case you get this lucky
