TFTC:) Found the doors wide open but nobody home. Jammed them shut and hopefully some one keeps an eye on the place because it's a nice old hall

My wife and I were on our way from Albany to the Stirling Range NP to do some birding. We stopped here for the cache, but also saw two Australian Kestrels, which were new Life Birds for us.

Found myself in Albany today to attend the 15 Years of Caching im WA Event. I had a few caches on my must do list while I was in town, so came past here for a look.

After our successful trek to the summit of Bluff Knoll, we pulled in here on the way back to town.

Jinta29 already had the cache in his hands when I arrived.

Out on a little road trip to get some
Local caches that are just of the main highway and haven't had the time to detour off the highway prior. So here's up to barker for a pie from the bakery and then returned home along cheater pass road. Tftc tfth

Love these Dancing 'round the Halls caches. They help us remember the times communities come together. We particularly liked this location and wandered around having a good look. We wonder what the little fenced off area was for? Vege patch? Somewhere to keep the kids so the parents can relax (joked geo-man)..?
** We found a black pair of reading glasses on the right side steps (when facing the hall). We left them there but tucked them under a bit to keep dry. Didn't want to take them in case someone comes back to look for them**

Thank you to my geopartner for finding this cache, i left him to search whilst I was busy looking to see if i could see any early orchids, alas none yet, but finding the cache was worth the trip out on a great day out.

OMG, I did it!!

The 5/5 that is. (Haven't logged the find yet, but I will once I work out what to say.) I was still on a high from that achievement when I got to this cache.

Found this cache on my round the south west tour, managed to find with no GPS. Phew.

Quick find at another of the three halls we visited today. It's quite striking to see all the halls in different conditions. This one is quite old and could probably do with some TLC. TFTC

The TheBailMob. Yes it was out of place (in the middle of the driveway, in fact!). It is now back in its rightful place. Please be sure to replace it carefully.

One of thirty finds during a few days travelling around the south west

Headed south for a relaxing road trip with the Western Patrol Club and a mate. We stayed at Cheynes Beach before heading across to West Cape Howe and then into the Stirling Ranges for our last few nights. Beautiful coast line, awesome hils, great fishing, and some good 4wding. Gotta love this state of ours.

Traveled down to Albany and the Stirling ranges area with a mate at Easter, did this cache as part of a whole heap. Great way to see the fantastic areas on show. Good to see some really interesting areas hidden away.

Quick find on our day trip around the area.

From Mount Barker we took a drive along some country roads, before leaving the area.
This was a nice road trip, and we visited some wineries on the way.
A great old hall, that doesn't seem to get used very much.
Cache was an easy find, and in good condition.

A nice quick find on our way to exploring the Stirling Ranges. These very historic community halls would have been at the centre of community life last century.
Yesterday we enjoyed morning tea at the Porongurup General Store and were looking through a photo album in the cafe. There was a great picture of the Porongurup Band....7 instruments in all.....2 piano accordians, a piano, a dobro, a banjo, a mandolin and a violin. I'm sure the musicians would have been in great demand to play at all the local Saturday night dances in halls just like this one.

Parked up near the hall and had a look to see where the gps was pointing before I headed over to the search area. Made the find quickly, even without the gps.
