Ok, after the fourth attempt we suppose it's time to log the dreaded DNF .
We've been trying for this since early February, even contacting former finders for clues, but no luck for us.
However there was work done around the GZ to do a new footpath and the greenery behind the sign was partly cleared away, so we're still hoping it's not a case of bad geocaching skills but of disappeared cache.

so many finders
but not me today
guessing I looked straight past it
resorted to the clue ... but still had no idea
moved on when the neighbours started paying us too much attention
another for next visit
I'll be back to try and scratch that DNF

Cool hide. Clue still didn't make sense once I found it, but the again, I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed TFTC.
Clever hide. The hint only made sense after we found the cache. Nice work. TFTC.
Clever hide! Hint makes sense when u find the cache. TFTC JenneG and Budgy with Tony & Anne whilst enroute to Cape York.
As tourists in Cairns we were just driving around today and saw that this one was close by. We were stumped for a few minutes before we got a better angle and had the clever cache in hand. TFTC.
I searched for this earlier today and then looked at some logs.
I thought I had a clue and went back in the cover of darkness.
I was wrong and after trying to pry open an electrical box which I nearly broke
I looked a bit harder and soon found my target.
took TB and dropped off Tuppence TB.
a favorite for me for the location and the cache design. welldone

Having arrived in Cairns on Friday with Wife, granddaughter, and muggle brother in-law, his wife and 2 leg biters.
Today we are heading north to Port Douglass for 5 days, the brother in-law and his family have gone on ahead, while we will gather a few 's
An easy find while Squirrel (granddaughter) was walking in circles
A clever hide, the front door is a bit loose, half the attachment/latch is missing
Other that that, all with the cache and a fav for the hide

One of three found and signed on this day while visiting from South Australia.,
This is a clever hide, however the cover was laying on the ground so some maintenance may be required.

Went for a nice short bicycle ride down the beach for our first time in Australia. Beautiful day. Thanks for the cache.
Had a trip to Cairns to do, extended the trip over the weekend and a long weekend too.
Not wanting to cache out Townsville and at the same eager to get to my next milestone a trip is always welcome.
After dropping off my passengers I headed North for the caches on this side of town.
Had a done a bit of homework solving a few mysteries, still most of them remain mysteries too me.
This was one of the caches that I did find, another happy face on my map
Thanks for the cache

Went looking for a cache with more than 10 fave points and this was the closest. Glad we got it because it was a really neat hide, loved the design. Had read the logs so came prepared with a new all weather log page to place inside. Left the original log plus the paper that wasn't soaked and cleaned out the bits that were mush. Left a cute little TB to continue its journey. Thanks for a great cache.
I was looking at it then it dawned on me. Great camo! Job weĺl done. Log is full and only odd pieces of paper now. TFTC
Easy find, but geo junior liked this one and said I have to give it a favorite point.TFTC.
On our trip through Australia we drove to Kangoroo Island after visiting Sydney, Melbourne, the Great Ocean Road and the Grampians. After a really scary ride to our hotel (our ferry arrived at 7pm and we had to drive all over the island to our hotel and through the darkness with a lot of wallabies and possums on the street) we enjoyed the next morning with Seal Bay and Flinders Chase National Park. For sure we also visited Admiral's Arch and the Remarkable Rocks, two really impressive places. Back on the mainland we had one day at Adelaide, before we flew to Alice Springs. From there we started the ride to the Red Center and on the way to the Mereenie Loop Road we stopped at a lot of the beautiful Gaps, Chasms and Gorges. First stop was the Simpsons Gap, after this we made the short walk to the Standley Chasm and then we arrived at the Ellery Creek Big Hole. Afterwards we finished the day with a visit of the fascinating Ochre Pits and the Ormiston Gorge. The next day we drove further to the Mereenie Loop Road, but a short stop at Gosse Bluff came first. From Tyler's Pass we had a first look at the crater, before we took the sandy road to Gosse's Bluff. After the spectacular ride over the Mereenie Loop Road, we arrived at Kings Canyon the early afternoon and were happy that it wasn't too hot. After sleeping in a very comfortable tent we continued our way to Ayers Rock. Trying to catch a nice sunrise we got out of bed very early and so we had enough time to walk through the valley of the winds, before it was closed. Afterwards we walked all around the Ayers Rock and were very wiped out at the end. But the fascinating landscape excused the stresses and strains. After this we flew to Cairns where we enjoyed a trip to the Great Barrier Reef, to Kuranda and some homley days at the beach. The trip to Michaelmas Cay was really impessive, we had a nice turn with a catamaran and four hours of snorkeling at the cay. Really wonderful and we had the possibility to swim with a big turtle. Two days later we took the Scenic Railway up to Kuranda and stopped at the lookout at the Barron Falls. After a little walk through the rainforest we returned to Cairns via the skyrail. The last days we used the time to log the one or other cache at the beach.

Found it after coming back a second time, log full but added extra for others. TFTC, was my first cache.
#6207 Our accommodation was our at Trinity Beach so we decided on heading into Cairns Central today to explore it on foot. However before getting there we checked out some of the beaches along the way, this was our first port of call. Coming from inland Australia, there is nothing that beats a stroll along the beach on the foreshore in the early morning . A cache in good condition was soon located by Dad. Our thanks to isthmus for encouraging us on a walk this morning, just lovely. Cheers [^]
Great cache, have walked bast this one hundred times and haven't noticed it. Very nice beach.
We found it finally:) it was so much fun!!!
We found a little peg in it and replaced it with another little prize.

Love a good container and this one is up there. Quickly spotted and grabbed.
A great walk along the beach from Palm Cove. Thanks

Unfortunately had to give up on this one as a couple of muggles sitting outside their apartment across the road were giving me some suspicious looks. Shame as it sounds an interesting cache.
TFTC, second one I've found in Queensland
Most awesome one I've found in my geocaching times very well hidden
found with geosister
Didn't sign log however because we didn't have a pen and there wasn't one in there

Found quickly. I was pleased to see such creative cammo for this cache. It gets a favorite point because there is nothing like it that I found while caching the area. Took TB and left a Pathtag/Sig Item from Moozer. He is a geocacher in California who doesn't know I took his Sig Item to Australia with me. Please log it so he can see his Pathtag is now in AU.
Always nice to see clever camo while out caching. C-MNM spotted this one right off.

Another fantastic hide in this area in quite a busy spot for traffic! Time for a swim I think! TFTC
Very creative! Took a little time with this one due to the amount of muggle activity but finally got a break ran in and found it fairly quickly. TFTC
Another beautiful Nth Queensland beach, Australians are so lucky we have such a diverse landscape to live and cache in. TNLN TFTC
Cycling toward Port Douglas with Chouette, we did a side trip to see the beach, a nice spot and a nice hide a favorite..TFC
Great little home made hide, loved it, not sure what the clue meant but found it anyway, log has 5 spaces left.
