Looked in a nearby "obvious" spot for a while and then glanced about and saw it sitting out right in the open much to our surprise. Grabbed the little pathtag that was in there - we've never seen one before. Put back in some camo where we think the cache is supposed to go and will check with the CO. TFTC.
Sooo many dnfs the last few days. At this point I feel like I'll never find another one again! GPS was jumpy so check all nearby objects that looked like a cache might be hiding there - nada.
Quick find. Thanks for bringing us to this lovely park! Mahalo and Aloha from Hawaii.
A nice quick easy find today, was not placed back nicely, looked like it was just thrown, in plain view as I approached GZ, put it back better, and tucked it up, unplanned geocaching today, so was manually loading co ords into GPS from phone c;geo, when phone wasn't playing nice, TFTC.
Good hide location. Unfortunately there was some poo in a bag at the location of cache.
First cache with friends. Hard to find as GPS struggled but pleased we finally found it Helped to go to the street and come back in. TFTC.
Yayyy #2 and only just realised there is a 4th one so heading back to get #1 code... we dropped off a TB we have had for coming up a year now... faithfully hanging on my keyring and been on many many MANY adventures... this time last year I dropped my son off to airport for him to spend xmas with his dad and we picked it up on his way home from airport after the holiday... have just dropped him back to airport for another xmas with his dad and feeling sad so caching to distract me... fitting time to let go of this trusty TB... Happy travelling pool ball... we have a pool table at home and it has sat by during many a game!!!
#312 On the way back home from the Big Boys Toys Event at the show grounds. A little busy over there to collect some caches so decided on this one, I have been wanting to get this one off my list for a while. Geodad & Geokids followed the GPS to what we thought was the correct location. Search ended up taking about 15 minutes as the search range expanded and the illusion that the Geokids wanted to climb trees to fool the muggles. Finally found but was very wet and log was full. Dried it out, cleared out very old log that was paper pulp and added a new waterproof paper log (Maintenance done).

GPS was not happy at all! Had us going all over the place but got there after a few minutes of going round in circles. Log is full but found a gap down the side to write on. TFTC

Another nice wee spot discovered that we would never have otherwise known about. Didn't take too long to find once we, like everyone else, searched on the other side
There was very nearly some evil spoken when I realised that, like everybody else, I'd been focusing on the wrong side! Still a nice easy find - just not where my GPS led me to believe! Thanks for the cache and the interesting Japanese language lesson
GPS bounced a bit, had me looking in the wrong place, probably like the previous logs. Looked at another possibility and found the cache on the ground with its lid off, and container full of water. Thankfully the log was dry, was able to reassemble and return to its hiding place. Thanks for the hide and the adventure on this wet and wild day
Spent too much time on one side of the footpath. Finally crossed over and had the cache quickly in hand.
Searched the wrong side of the path for a while but then found it on the other side and found it straight away. tftc
Yay! Found it, second time lucky I suppose. Well hidden!
May need maintenance? Container isn't completely waterproof, paper is wet.
Thanks!

Thanks!
In this part of town on a glorious Sunday afternoon and happened past this on our way home, stopped for a short stroll to GZ and after a couple of possible locations found the cache in the last place we checked of course! TFTC
Hmm. Disappointed, couldn't find it. We don't have much experience yet, so will try again another time
About to head "home" after the enjoyable Music in the Park at Three Kings Domain. Thought I might side-track and seek out this cache first. Auckland does seem to be endowed with many wonderful parks. Cache was soon located and the log page thoughtfully added by TeamCumberpatch signed. TFTC .
Great park on a gorgeous day. TFTC. Have added a sheet of paper to the log. #1 find on our way to our Cornwall Park Cache Day.

Enioyed a nice stroll in the park after finding this cache. Log is a bit full, unfortunately I didn't have any spare paper and the older log is sodden. TFTC.
A bit of rain about tonight & cache is wet. Thanks will come soon for a better walk around.
First cache in New Zealand for Klutchers. Have been enjoying this park while visiting in the area. Log is very wet after the rain last night. TFTC and being our first in this country! SL
Just strolling home form the supermarket, thought id grab this cache .Easy peasy. Didn't even have to get my hands dirty. log is full and is a little damp. Thanks heaps for the hide
We took the long way into the park to get to this one. I guess that's what happens after a nice little 5km ride turns into a 22 km marathon afternoon on the bikes! Cache was waterlogged so we emptied it out and dried it as best we could. TFTC Defiant980
Second of the series but not really planned and didn't know there was a bonus until too late for the first. Saw 3 other groups strolling this garden and everyone including us had grapefruit ! NINO TFTC
Nice and quick find on a beautiful sunny day. Thanks for bringing me to an awesome little spot I'd never been to before. Cheers V.
Hah wrong side of the fence at first oops haha was like this seems like private property.. tftc
We spoke no evil, I don't think parking in the school staff carpark was too evil either, managed to get away with it to find this one with garball. Next step to see and hear no evil. Thanks for the cache Defiant980.

Wish we'd known there was parking elsewhere but as it was the holidays and wet and windy we gambled on a quick find and parked at the school staff carpark. Did find this relatively so that was good. The camo had come off the lid and is almost off the base of the container. Next stop is a hot chocolate at nearby cafe... casaba3's youngest member had been promised one today and why not as the rain looked to be starting to get heavier... where are the other monkeys? Will find out over a cuppa.
Had no luck on number 1 earlier today but number two was an easy find, lid number safely store in the phone for later! Tftc
Lol. I was on the wrong side of the path even after reading previous logs.
Came to find this one yesterday with MissK1103. We didn't find it and I got stuck in a tree. Back today and was much quicker with fresh eyes.
First search yesterday, no. 1 son and I persisted and persisted with no luck. After reading some of the logs last night I realised we too were on the wrong side of the path. Back today and found the cache in about 30 seconds! TFTC.
Not a bad day for a wander in the park. Found with Kiwi_trecker and the 3 monkeys. TFTC
No time for any tree climbing like a monkey today sorry. glad to have a wee smilie as heading for an airport pick up.
Three little monkeys sitting in a tree.... but I'm not worried they're not smarter than me! ! TFTC
Nice quick find very quite area today the Catholic School next door must have closed for summer monkey was quickly located, signed and placed back in his diding place.
Took a bit of looking around. Started off on the wrong side of the path. But eventually found our way.
This was great... Even without the compass, I saw where I thought it could be... And voila! Took out a cuuuuute green teddy and added a toy of my own. TFTC
Last one in this part of the world. Found one the way to the airport for my 6:30 flight - no one about.
GPS wasn't helping me with this one. And it helps if you look in the right general area. TFTC.
Yaay! A beautiful park to let the Geohound stretch his legs and found this one without to much difficulty. Camo was starting to come off so added a wee bit more. TFTC
The gps was a bit off due to the trees but after some searching we found it. Tyftc!
#597 Quick stop to pick up this cache while out and about today. Glad to have found it after a short hunt beginning in the wrong tree. While signing the log an enthusiastic dog came over to say hello but then wandered off after a pat, so I replaced and moved on to the next one. TFTC- looking forward to finding the next ones in the series.
Found after work this evening in the dark. I made it a bit harder for myself by leaving my headlamp in the car however still had the LED light on my GPSr. Found quickly after I stopped searching on the wrong side of the path!
Thanks!
Thanks!
Phew! Turned that frown upside down this morning. Mini McArgister and I left Mrs McA in bed and popped out to grab this, armed with more log info than yesterday. Quite far from where my GPSr suggested, but the tree cover does play tricks. Mini McA picked out some bark for camo. Good work for a 10 month old! Noted the lid clue. Hope the bonus gets back & running sometime.
Woo hoo! Another FTDNF for me! Checking the logs now I'm home and I think I needed to be on the other side of the path too. Back soon!
Good walk and easy cache discovery at Monte on a stormy wet day. This park is very much under utilized with most visitors reluctant to venture beyond the mansion cafe. It still appears to be the realm of dog owners who let their pets run free despite recent council law prohibiting this - and good on them!
Was looking on wrong side of the path as well. Fun to try in the dark. TFTC :p
Found while collecting the other caches in Monte Cecilia. At first GPS pointed to the wrong side of the path, but once it adjusted, we quickly found the cache. Another in the series found, just the bonus to go now. TFTC!
