So excited! Stopped for a lunch break at a near by campsite and messaged Fredo Frog and James the Newt asking what are my chances after a recent DNF and 2 years no love. Almost instant reply! Confident it should still be there! Thats all I needed to know Easy 4x4 track Mr and I stopped nearby and walked to the location with shovel in hand. The near by bushes and a lizard are keeping this cache safe. Some tapping and flicking around with the shovel - just in case it wasnt just a lizard keeping guard! I quickly found the cache! Highlight of the trip I suspect
Just wanted to add. The track was easy today, and based on our 4x4 experience. Conditions change daily - especially sand!
No luck here trying to find the cache. Looks like its not been found in a few years & despite a good hunt around, digging through the bushes at GZ there was no cache found.
On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird. I’ll leave the more interesting detailed log to Mrs Geo (aka: SeasonedBird, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird or Angry Bird) because she writes so much more eloquently than I and usually has much more time to do so while I’m driving. It’s a great day for caching. TFTC Freddo

We attempted to drive down to this area from our campsite at 42 Mile Crossing, yesterday in some wild and windy consitions. But soon after turning onto the beach, the sand got soft...very soft and it wan't too long before we were digging out cars. The more cars that came, the more that got stuck. Once all the cars were out, we turned around and headed the opposite way and visited Tea Tree Crossing.
Today, we headed North again and found a couple more caches further up the beach, but arriving back at the turnoff to our campsite, we looked down the beach and couldn't resist having another crack at getting through the soft sand where so many cars got stuck a day earlier. The tide was slightly lower, which helped and with a bit if slipping and sliding, we made it through and enjoyed cruising down the beach.
Finding this cache took a bit of a search, but we got there in the end. A fun experience!

Had some fun camping at 42 mile crossing. Yesterday we attempted to drive down the beach to 32 mile crossing but got about 200m and got very stuck which took about 2 hours to get out, so we turned back and went the opposite way. Today we had much better weather and got further than yesterday and found a few caches along the way. This one required a little bit of searching, had to avoid a stumpy tail lizard nearby who just sat watching us search. TFTC
No luck for us today unfortunately. Would be keen to come back here and try again when it's not so rainy!
ROAD TRIP! Time to head south and fill a few gaps near the Coorong that require a 4WD to access. [^] So I joined Featherwaite in the trusty Hilux and with E.gregory in his mighty Palace on wheels in support what could possibly go wrong. [?]
Day 2: Continue south from Tea Tree Crossing Campsite grabbing caches as we go. Finishing the caches we wanted by lunchtime it was onto Kingston and places further south looking for another campsite. [^]
We spent way too long trying to find this one as we had peeked at the hint. Very few rocks to be found here but there was a big George W. - which is where we found the cache.
Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers to single digits. That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]
***Thanks Freddo for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

Found during a camping trip to the Coorong and the Southeast areas with brisal5 and I in one vehicle, and e.gregory and friend in the other. We travelled around the Narrung Peninsula and down the Coorong where we spent the first night camped out at Tea Tree Crossing. Enjoyed some challenging driving and eventful cache finds, wandering bush tracks and strenuous sand dune climbs in very scenic areas. The second night saw us camp out in Little Dip before meandering the country roads in search of an assortment of Traditional, Earth, Multi and Puzzle caches further down the coast before heading back home via Lucindale, Padthaway and Keith. Thanks for the cache Freddo the Frog and James the Newt!
A long weekend away with sir_spectre. Lots of 4WDing and for me getting those caches that I had been hoping to get to one day.
Thanks to Freddo from mogni

lock hubs check, deflate tires check, and of course find cache check.
found with mogni. The target this australia day long weekend was 3 island caches, ladder entry in to a cave, a few tree/structure climbs, finishing mine and mogni's tradition fizzy grids, driving for 10's of km's along the coast line at various spots ( longest stretch was over 30 km's ) and a multi on a calendar day for me plus a puzzle and multi on calendar days for mogni.

This weekend, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I headed to the Coorong for a night camping. We first stopped off at Nairne via Littlehampton, and then travelled past Salt Creek to cross into the Coorong. We camped at Tea Tree Campground, and on Sunday we travelled back via 42 Mile Crossing and Kingston SE, visiting Jip Jip Conservation Park and Coonalpyn.
Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I first stopped off at Nairne via Littlehampton to attend the community celebration event, and completed Nairne's murals multi-cache and Adventure Lab. We then travelled past Salt Creek to cross at 32 Mile Crossing into the Coorong. We then drove the Jeep along the beach inspecting various campgrounds, before settling at Tea Tree Campground to have protection against the strong winds.
This geocache was the reason we chose to cross here, rather than 42 Mile Crossing. We used the opportunity of searching for this cache to also lower my vehicle's tyres down to 15 psi, and we spent 20-25 min trying to look for this cache. There were no rocks about that we could see, and we continued to expand and contract our search trying to find any evidence that this cache was still around (it looks like it had been 2.1 yr since it has been found, so perhaps the environment/sand has moved). GZ appeared to have plants/bushes around, and so we had a good look in there, and along the slight ledge that had formed on the opposite side of the track, but alas, nothing found. In the end, we replaced the cache with a painted black flat sistema, placed in the middle of a bush to help protect it elevated against any future sand movement. This was discussed with the CO who OK'd the replacement. Thanks Freddo the Frog and James the Newt for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

I headed down to the south-east with gridge98 on a quick, two-day trip to find a few caches.
We had some rather mixed weather, with sunshine, rain, hail and wind at different stages, but most of the time it was good weather for caching.
We also had rather mixed results in terms of caches. There were some interesting hides in some terrific places; some along the beaches, some in the pine forests and others at various scenic or interesting locations. We managed a few lucky FTFs, but also a few disappointing DNFs. But all in all, it was a great trip.
Our first of what turned out to be quite a few ‘off-road’ adventures today. A quick find.
Thanks Freddo for the cache.

A weekend run down to the south east, with Moneydork, Freddo, Hevwalker and Phoenix Flare. We opted for the coastal route, and much of the scenery was amazing. Of course, there were plenty of caches on the way as well. We managed to reach our destination just before the Maitland event, and it was a great experience.
Very much looking forward to spending more time down this way for a while yet!
This was find number 30 of 33 for the day for me. TFTC Freddo!

Found It!
Even though it had been pouring with rain overnight the Hilux still made it to GZ without any problems. Interesting place. One day I'll come back and do the drive along the beach!

Dropped in with Laighside Legends on the way to Millicent for the event. But if a 4WD adventure. TFTC
Due to time constraints, we came over from the Old Coorong Road (but we'll be back to do the beach run another time) .
There was a rod, seat and other fishing gear setup near the surf here, but didn't see anyone around . Strange how there's no campground here .
TNLNSL.
Mr and Mrs DISK grew up, learning the conversions and 'new' measuring systems near the end of primary school, so both systems make sense to us. Good to see they haven't tried to change these names - gives the place a sense of history [^].
Having said that, 100 mph is REALLY FAST and new born baby's weights don't make sense in kgs .
Thanks for one more Freddo the Frog and James the Newt.

Thanks for the cache Freddo and James the Newt and for the excuse to get the 4wd off the main road found a stumpy tail gaurding the container the drive in alone makes this worthy of a fp
Away down the Coorong for our Wedding Anniverary and headed out today to do some 4wding along the beach. Also to grab some caches! Phew...to say that was hairy is an understatement!! came to this one from 20km North of 42 mile crossing, and about 8kms past the Tea Tree crossing entrance to the beach, the track got rather boggy...and narrow and the tide was coming in and it was getting very very soft and slippy slidey and bumpy and did I mention the tide was coming in and chunks of the tracks where washed away so we had to drive down where the water was coming in to miss them, and just incase you missed it...THE tide was coming IN!!....Just when we thought all hope was lost...that we would be stuck slip sliding over this very sketchy beach track for eternity, we spotted 2 fishermen way in the distance.. with renewed vigor we surged forward until we got to the 32 mile turn off.. As we stopped on the firm packed sand to take a breath, before turning off, one of the firerman started walking towards us...with all the confidence I could muster, I waved him away saying " we're all good mate, cheers"....I am SO glad that we did the 4wd Sand Driving Course late last year!!!!!! I think this deserves a Fav point.....for the adventure! TFTC
Found at 11:48 with Olga.
Given the advice on the listing, we choose to walk in. We may have made out on the xyrail, but o think ground clearance might have been a problem in a couple of spots.
A lovely walk in nonetheless.
Thanks Freddo the Frog and James the Newt

We drove most of the way to this one but being uncertain of how sandy the track would become with 500 or so meters to go we decided to park and walk, we need the exercise, not.
Quite a pleasant walk with heaps to look at and wonder about we were soon at GZ. Hubby looked from the high side and I from the low side and Dennis soon saw a cache container peaking back at him. I retrieved the container and made our make in the log book. The cache is in excellent condition. SL TNLN TFTC

I still think of height in feet and inches. The bank robber was 179 cm does not have the same ring about it.
Found on a short trip south to escape the big smoke before the Xmas rush. Clear skies to Freddo from TeamAstro.

Free camping in Kingston, today we set off to see how many caches we could find in the Coorong that we missed a few weeks ago.
Beautiful weather not to hot not too cold, although apparently a storm forecast to arrive tomorrow. [xx(]
Great day to be out in the Geo Cruiser, so many great spots that were within our reach.
Well we were in 2 minds or is that 4 minds for 2 of us on approach. So much soft sand but on a comfortable day of 17degrees we had no problems to arrive here. Cache in good order.
TFTC Freddo
Looking forward to meeting other geocachers at the next Australian Geocaching Mega event

Headed out with Nibs for the Australia Day long weekend to drive from Mt Gambier to Salt Creek along as many of the 4WD tracks along the coast as we could.
Three nights of camping along the coast in what turned out to be a very hot weekend.
Started out at Carpenters Rocks and worked out way down.
We camped the first night on the Admella Flats, the second night near 3 Mile Rocks on the other side of Beachport and on our third night between 32 and 42 mile crossing on the Coorong.
It really got busy in Little Dip park near Robe on Australia Day as there were several large 4WD clubs in the park.
As usual the Pathfinder went a treat and we had a ball.
There was only one sand hill climb that gave us any grief but the third time was a charm and I got over.
When you have been a student of the Beaker school of driving anything is possible.
If I had of got stuck it would have been OK as Nibs would have rescued me. We helped out a lot of people over the weekend and once he sets his mind to getting you out there is no stopping him.
We spent about 2 hours at one spot trying to pull a bloke out from just above the highwater mark before the Nissan Club rolled up and literally built a road out of maxtracks.
It was an great weekend and Mrs Parrot and I loved it.

We were on the beach on our way to Beor Treasure, and quickly dived up the 32 Mile Crossing track where we ended up running into (not literally) SA Parrothead . After both signing the log for this one, we headed back to the beach to find a camping spot for the night.
Was heading down to the Little BIG Event in Nelson Victoria, picking up caches on the way.
Didnt even know this crossing existed. TFTC.
Didnt even know this crossing existed. TFTC.
I was on my way to the Big Little Event and just happened to have to wait for twenty minutes for one group and then two hours for the really late latecomer to get to Tailem Bend Considering that I had the greatest distance to travel, that was interesting
So, I stopped and did one cache all on my own. Then when Honeysucker and firesafe arrived, we headed out and got a few more together.
When Huurtle finally arrived, we headed off in convoy to some very interesting caches and by the end of the day, I had locus cache'd on 24 and only had 1 DNF. [^]
This was such an awesome day as it included my getting the Corolla bogged in sand, firesafe getting bogged in mud (however he got himself out where as I had required his help to get out of my spot of bother), my first visit to the sea side of the Coorong, some great fun driving on dirt roads (anyone want to clean the inside of my car?) and some great company from Suzi Quatro on the CD.... all in all a fantastic way to get to an event!! [^] [^]
We parted company at Kingston SE and I cruised on my own to the Big Little Event at Nelson, getting only a few more caches on the way as by then, I was kind of tired [|)]
For my first time at the seaward side of the Coorong, I had a big day out which was filled with Freddo caches! 5 so far! [^]
I grew up initially learning imperial measurements and then had to change to decimal... so some things will forever be a foot in length while others will be mere centimetres in length Talk about crossing the divide!

On way to Big Little Event at Nelson.
Zig zagging our way down the coorong road. Locus Cache, FireSafe, Honeysucker & myself, visiting some out of the way cache, missed on previous treks down here... And new ones placed since...
I have no idea of imperial measurements, as I am a decimal baby!
Interesting drive in, no need to let tyres down, just a couple of soft spots.
Fourth Freddo cache in a row today, and managed a joint silver in the logbook, although joint bronze online.
Great spot, love this sort of cache!
It isnt a caching trip, without a Freddo Nation cache find! And had 4!
Thanks mate

Found my first cache. Went along with EdwardsAUS, didnt log my name on log sheet as I couldnt remember my name until I searched everywhere on the app on my phone. I hope this will be ok with you to log this as a found. You will see EdwardsAUS was the FTF, I was there also. TFTC

Went with team WatersAUS but didnt log there name as we couldnt remember it as this was there first cache to find since joining up.
