Stopped to check this one out but then saw all the dnfs. It hasn't been found since April 22 and probably needs a check by the CO to confirm if it's there
Thought we would give this one ago even after reading the logs that suggested it’s probably not there. “If you never never go, you’ll never never know” Whilst it’s difficult to say it’s definitely not there. We definitely couldn’t find it either. No luck for us today. Searched for 10 minutes and then searched a little more. Suggest it time for a CO check.
We looked really hard to locate this one with no luck, we are thinking it might unfortunately be missing, we also had a good search in the wider area, checked hints and previous logs for clues with no joy.

With lots of people looking, including a previous finder we unable to make the find. We think this one may be missing.
Thanks anyway.

Day 13 of a 3 week holiday driving from Canberra to Townsville and back to attend the Mega. Today was the last day for team FATZ (Fox in Jox, AngelG27, ZQX and I). We started the morning with the early event, followed by a relaxed breakfast. Then we meandered the Strand to pick off a few caches, before heading for the airport to drop off the others. I stayed on for a few more days. Cache easily found. TFTC.

In Townsville, hit the trails with beckNmonts and Earthbound Chief. Found this one along the way.
Day 16, again no pattern today, a few Adventure Labs and then random caches along our travels. My last day in Townsville

On our last day together, Earthbound Chief, ahomburg and myself headed off to find an assortment of geocaches. A find that was not as quick as it should have been! Thanks for the cache corikra.
We found 000 teal while on our saintly pursuits in FNQ. ...we are glad we have finally made it here.
Found with becknmonts and ahomburg on our last day in town

During the Easter long weekend, it was all about the Townsville Mega event! Highlights included a hike at Cape Pallarenda Conservation Peak, walks atop the local mountains of Mount Stuart, Castle Hill, and Mount Louisa, checking out a few shady spots along Ross River, sewer pipe / tunnel adventures, and a scuba dive to see the Museum of Underwater Art at John Brewer Reef. The Mega events themselves were fantastic: Gadget lab caches, GPS maze, trivia night, tree planting CITO, and Cal's Escape Room. There was also plenty of geocaching to be had, such as power trailing through the geoarts The Saint and the Book, and the collection of challenge caches at Bushland Beach mudflats. My view of Townsville had completely changed from my trip experience, and much kudos to the Cache Qld Townsville Mega Committee.
I sometimes struggle with these sorts of puzzles, but using a few right tools and techniques, we soon had a set of plausible coordinates.
On our drive from Ross River to the Townsville tree fishing series, we took a stop here, and after searching around the structures, we eventually located the cache. The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and we also took note of the clue of this series' archived final cache (you know, just in case). We decided to sign the geocache as DWEG1 (Davidwazza and e.gregory1) to save space in the logbook. Thanks corikra for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Day 11 of our trek to the Townsville Mega and back with fitzy_1965 and two of my geo-kids Death_killer & my_name_jeff_1.
Today is our last day in Townsville. We cleaned up as many of the caches we wanted to do before leaving tomorrow. This included heading a bit further North to grab a couple more counties. A lot of driving but a satisfying day. We signed some challenges, did a bit of fishing, and collected a number of adventure labs along the way.
All caches were found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned. Thanks to all the CO’s.

27,829. Found with minniek during our Grand Townsville Trek up to CacheQLD's Townsville Mega Event over Easter.
Day 11 of our Townsville Trek, and we managed quite a few caches around Townsville today as well as a trip north to grab a few additional Counties, then back to Townsville for more caching. Despite the large number of roadworks going on we made good time. This cache and series was a lot of fun to solve - shame one of them was missing (although I see a throw down was placed after I DNFed it). Quick find at GZ for this one. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then continued along to the next cache on our list.
Thanks corikra !!

Found while in Townsville to attend the Mega event.
I travelled up from Adelaide, taking a week or so so get here, meeting up with FeatherWaite to do some caching around the Cunnamulla area then continuing on to Barcaldine and Charters Towers.
While in Townsville I teamed up with Budgietas, Stainless-steel-rat and Gooseandegg on some days, including a day on Magnetic Island, and with Davidwazza at other times. When caching with Davidwazza, logbooks were signed DWEG1.
All in all it was a terrific week or so in Townsville, with plenty of great caches found.
Collected the clue in logbook.
Thanks corikra for the puzzle and the cache.

#14180; Day thirteen of the Townsville Mega adventure with Sol de lune. The plan for our final day in Townsville was to collect some challenge caches, along with some different D/T rated caches, along with solved puzzles and others on our "to do" list. Joined at various times by fitzy_65, minniek and smittengranny as we made our way around today. Collected 2 DNFs on an otherwise successful day. Unless indicated in the log, the cache was found in good order. Apologies for the largely generic logs. TFTC corikra
Day 13 of the road trip to Townsville to with LuckyL10n and today all about the caches around town.
The day after the main event of the trip had finished and the last day in town before we drive back to Canberra...but we taking 7 days so all is not lost. We headed out around town grabbing a few challenge caches, a few more high D/T caches and other caches that we drove past. We were joined by fitzy_1965 and minniek for part of the day, having a more relaxed approach to the day....but of course, all still good fun.
Many thanks again to the CO's or all caches...and hope you've enjoy reading all the logs...cut n past and individual ones.

Weeks of prep for this event meant that we have solutions to puzzles in the area. Geocaching toolbox and cypher sites all part of the mix.
Noted the clue, stamped the log and replaced the cache with no muggle activity to slow us.
Thanks for the fun, corikra

Great Northern escape 2022 Day 6. Townsville Mega section Day 6. For today I started caching with TikvaNZ for a section of the RRPT. I was on my e-scooter and we had a great time out in the sun visiting interesting locations along the river, some were a bit to much for us today. After lunch I caught up with Kittly Katch, Joolay, Isopeda and Barb2e for some pole caching. Sometimes this was quite a challenge. The day ended with a trip back to Ross River for a pre Mega dinner with heaps of people I have not seen for ages. A great way to get the Easter weekend started.

We made a quick find here before I got some sticky grossness on my hand. Thanks for the cache
We've had the puzzle solved for a previous visit but didn't get time to look for it. Today we were riding past after doing the tree fishing series, too good of an opportunity to pass by. Kicking ourselves now we didn't look for the clue for the Final but at this stage we still have one in the series to solve. TFTC corikra.

Took me a lot longer than it should have to find this cache! I was focused on the wrong locations, but once I changed that I soon had CIH!

**Today:**
Day 5 of my road trip from Canberra - Townsville Mega Event!
Today was laid back, I had made excellent time and only needed to get from Pentland - Townsville! I spent almost the entire day in Charters Towers! I initially only had a couple of caches planned, but I fell in love with the caching and town itself and ended up spending all the time I could until I had to be in Townsville to meet someone at the airport!
Wow, caching in Charters Towers was just fantastic, super high quality hides and a very cool town with lots to see. It was a highlight of my trip!

Day 1 cache 1 of the long awaited Townsville geocaching trip of nikid1 & myself! After arriving at the airport & picking up our hire car we headed off in search of a cache. This was one of the many that we spent lots of time solving at home. Lockdown was certainly useful for some things!
This puzzle was a quick solve once the right decoder was used. A nice quick find at GZ as well, noted the clue & back to the air conditioning in the car.

It’s definitely gone. I checked today and wasn’t able to find it, so I asked a previous finder who confirmed that it would be a mint tin in the spot where every cacher would check first.
DNF after spending a good bit of time looking for this GC in the 4 obvious points of interest, my geo-munchkins & I resigned to message the CO as we suspect a muggling has occurred. After waiting a while fingers crossed we’d get an instant reply (we didn’t & that’s okay) so we admit defeat on this occasion & walk away with a DNF as no mint tin GC was found.
First day in Townsville! Landing at the airport and picking up the hire car we zoomed off like Thelma and Louise, but only for 500m or so until we needed google maps. When waiting for google maps to tell us where to go (not necessary as we could visually see where we needed to go) one of us had the smarts to check where caches were and who knew, we were on one. Straight away we were into it.
Had 6 finds today, a great introduction to Townsville, we feel it's going to be a cracker week...especially after what we had for dinner tonight!

Monday. Came up to GZ and our arrows shot off into every direction. Eventually it was Que Sera who found the sneaky cache. There was a muggle in the area with 3 dogs, but there was no way he was interested in us. Clue noted.

TFTC. WE have had these 000 caches solved since last year. On that occasion there were muggles all around. We tried this one on Saturday but the cricketers had taken over GZ. This morning we headed out for a few hours of catching. We had earmarked those we wanted ( a couple of solved puzzles and a 5:5 on Castle hill). GZ was a lot quieter today.
Solved the puzzle a while ago . Made the trip from Cairns over the Easter holidays and was able to find the cache easily today. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache.
Wandered down to the park and quickly located and noted down the clue. Hopefully i can get a lead on another one in the series which is missing so i can replace it so i can do them all.
Sorry for the late log. Just realised this clue was collected as the rains were beginning, just prior to the monsoon that devastated Townsville in February 2019. Apologies this has taken almost 3 months to log.

We were staying in Townsville for a couple of days and with no hope of finding all the caches here we decided to target multi's for the Pirate souvenir game as well as a few puzzles we have solved and the wherigo's as we really enjoy them.
We would love to say that we solved this one easily before leaving Melbourne but unfortunately that would be a lie as we called in help from the puzzle solving group and one of the members picked it in one and it wasn't too long before we had a set of co-ords. Today we came to see if we could actually get a smiley on the board. We pulled up at likely location and were very happy that we were the only ones around and after a little bit of a search the container was found and our name duly added to the log.

Returning to town for more ballet, the boys picked up the clue from a slightly different location......
With the girls a ballet seminar nearby for an hour the boys filled in an hour with some caching. Mercifully this one was visible under feature number 3. We may duck back in a few weeks (ballet exam or Japanese speaking competition) to get the clue and to find the others in the series, now they have been decrypted at last. After 3 unsuccessful attempts I took some finders of this cache for a drive.
We still came up empty handed.
Need owner attention.
Looking forward to writing a found log.

Went looking for this one today. The council is doing some works around the GZ, I did not want to search for it with the works going on.
Found after a little searching at gz as the mobile phone was not as accurate as the gps which we forgot at home lol
Ahhhh - A trip down memory lane tonight picking up a few caches that had alluded me on my last visit. I was happy to see the CO had replaced them so headed out to pick them up.
This one brought back the memory of the police helping me in my search, that was a weird time indeed! I was very happy to find this one in the second place I looked. Log quickly signed and information photographed...now I just have to see if I have the info from the other two caches in the series so I can make a try for the final. This may have to wait for the next visit as I see it is currently disabled.
Thanks for the well cammoed cache.

Wow I am struggling with Corikras caches! No luck with this one. Given I had two policemen join me in the hunt after I explained all about geocaching to them, and they helped me search albeit without luck. I may have a new local Townsville cacher for you!
Any way given I know the container type I honestly think I would have seen it if it was there. May have been muggled. Thanks anyway, maybe next time I'm in town.

Found this on the way home from picking the kids up from school.

geoP did the (online) leg work on this one the other day and, after all her hard work, we thought we might as well call by and collect it.
After about a minute of searching geoP went "there it is, geez it blends in!" Extracted the log, signed, collected the clue, and we were on our way.

Worked out the puzzle and headed for this cache around the corner! Found with my sister MegUA on her holiday up north. TFTC
Found this evening with LC85, it was a brief search at gz before the cache revealed itself. Signed and clue collected. Tftc corikra.
The puzzles were solved in switzerland. and we found the cachesbox here. Greetings from Switzerland.
Number 3 of 3...once again no muggles must have picked a good time...a nice easy find! Cheers
Back in Townsville for a couple of days, before we start our journey west.
Picking up a few that we missed or couldn't find on our first visit.
Code was deciphered, giving us our GZ.
We starting the search, but had to stop due to muggles.
After a short while, we were able to resume, and the cache was soon found.
Thanks again, corikra, for the challenge.
