Had a bit of a walk due to it being rather wet from the rain.. But nice hide
Found it! Sadly the contents got wet during the recent rain but still fun to find
Day 16 of different cache each day. Feeling now like we might be able to complete this challenge now. 15 days to go.
Se parked about 1.2km from the cache on the south side and walked up to the cache. Have looked at this one for ages and happy to have now found it. TFTC

We were out on the Dogs Head Trail today, and headed back to Singleton. I've spotted this cache out on its own every time I've looked at the map for years, and always thought we'd get it one day, but would need to walk. Today we thought we'd check it out in the Forester. We started from the north - and drove in, thinking we'd go as far as we could, then decide if we'd walk. Well we had a great little 4WD, and got all the way to the cache, with a few wheel spins here and there, very popular with the lads.
After a quick search the camo was spotted, and the cache found in pretty good shape, the log was looking a bit shabby - like 'a pirates map' according to the boys.
We turned around and went out the way we came, as we knew we'd get out that way. No chance for a 2WD in some spots.....

Pulled through singleton for a pit stop on the way home for a visit. I remember there being a lot more a caches 5 years ago!?
4x4ing and caching! Awesome! Found it, log has been damaged by water. But good hiding spot!
Found with Beary_Unicorns on a very windy Sunday afternoon , tftc. Log has been wet and is now in need of some maintenance
Found with Geoian. What a great bit of off road driving, enjoyed the cache. TFTC.
Decided to get away from the rain around home, so headed inland. Cacheing around Singleton today with madrabbitoh. Decided to head this way to get some of the unloved/out of the way caches this side of singleton. Drove all the way to this, using some of the chicken tracks, but got through some tougher ones easily with the Lux. Came from the southend of Big Ridge Lane, and then exited down towards Gresford Road., as this was more in the direction of Marked. A nice adventure off road for a change. Nice hide too. TFTC.
What a soleless area... log completely soaked. Needs some maintenance from CO. TFTC
After several weeks of rain we now have fine weather so it was time to get out of the house.
We approached this one from the south in the GeoForester. With all the rain it was a bit slippery so we took it carefully and quit within 300m of GZ then legged it the rest of the way.
A quick find of a novel cache. There were no muggles about but couldn't really say there was not a sole in sight. TNLNSL. Thanks vodka67

Nice afternoon for a stroll. Word of advice if you're not into walking far or don't have a 4WD or bike I'd head in from Gresford Road end. If you enjoy a walk any other way would be nice. Just wear some shoes unlike me
If you're going to walk this take some shoes, unlike me. Lived in this area most of my life and never been through here. Nice spot... TFTC
Have once taken the Camry and tried to access this without success and today we brought the XTrail and made it maybe 400m further. Ha ha unless you drive a monster truck there's a real challenge in some of the ruts! I reckon we walked 1.5km each way - the geokids (2 and 4) walked the vast majority of it too which was pretty impressive. They must have known there were Easter eggs in the car as a treat at the end mummy and daddy decided a coffee back in town a better option! Not entirely sure why the cache is way out here but we did enjoy the exercise and saying hi to the cows along the way. Log was pretty soggy but not entirely slimy from rot...yet. A bit of maintenance might be in order. TNLN TFTC
Found on a day mission with the tritonz and noddyb77 .
I think we took the wrong way to the GZ as it was a wee bit muddy ,had to ditch the car and walk the rest of the way .finally had prize in the hand

We were in the 4x4 in the area in the company of Tack123 and Noddyb77, We took the 4x4 tack in it was a fun trip in and it was getting pretty muddy and slipping and sliding in some spots making for a fun journey in.
At one point the road was looking pretty bad I think it would have been better to take a boat across so we decided to head on foot as we were not to far from the cache.
Upon arriving at GZ the cache was soon spotted and signed sealed and delivered.
Now to walk back to the car and head back out along the fun track.
Thanks for the cache and 4x4 fun.

Found with BillHill and my son on a geocaching trip up to Singleton. We parked at one end and followed another couple going for a walk, but we were much slower, so when we finally arrived at GZ we were all alone. We initially looked in the wrong spot, then made a quick find in the right spot. It was a nice gentle walk, mostly with shade from the trees, so even on the hot day it was nice and well worth it.
Thanks for the pleasant walk and fun hide!

According to our maps, it should be possible to drive up to this cache. The D/T rating did not say anything different, so off we went, east off Gresford Road. The track got narrower and narrower, and the ruts got worse and worse, but the mighty geo-Pajero made its way through, including passing a couple of puddles with muddy water.
We had a bit of a laugh at the cache container, wonder were the other one is?
Coming out we continued on north, onto something called Big Ridge Lane and it was as tough as getting in. Unfortunately we had one mishap when we were almost out, which will have us see the panel beater in the near future.
We think possibly the Terrain rating of the cache should be upped a bit.

Picked this one today as it was on the way more or less to Grans place, glad we had a 4X4 geo wagon as the path in would not be passable by an other 4 wheeled vehicle. After much bouncing the cache was recovered in good condition. Love the hide, and the drive in is one of our more memorable

Awesome 4WD cache with Commando283, used to drive through here all the time, oblivious to the cache.
Reperio at 1220.
Found this one on a day of caching with Big Matt in and around Singleton...and as we headed down the fire trail, we thought it best to park a few hundred meters away and walk in. Once at GZ, the cache was quickly in hand. Would love to see a fire tanker negotiate this trail.

Our 7001st overall find.
Found on a trip to Singleton today with Marcus Vitruvius today to find our 7000th cache. I'd hate to be driving a tanker down this trail. MV and I made it to within about 500m and walked the rest of the way to the cache. It was quickly found.
Thanks vodka67 for the cache.

Found at 2:42 PM GAFF1. We got to within 189 metres in our hire vehicle and as there is a $5,000 excess on it we stopped at large bog hole and walked. Interesting type of hide?
Thanks vodka67.

Well that wasn't so hard. Even in 40 degree heat.
I suggest tackling it from the north.
Easy find.
TSLS - Left a Customs Keyring and took a Kinder Surprise Lion toy.

Found after walking in from the nearby house, luckily we got carried half the way by flies.

Now that we have the Geolux back in action we decided to tackle this one. After recent rains the track was rather interesting & fun puddling in the Geolux. We were soon at GZ - love the container! Now for the journey out.....TFTC.
