Two years ago it was missing when we came to look, but it was here today!
Thanks for replacing it!

One of several caches we located today travelling from Kaikohe via Opononi to Dargaville. A reasonably quick find, probably shorter than I was expecting! #4702. TFTC.
306. Quick find. Awesome view. Lovely pit stop on the way back from Tāne Mahuta. TFTC
Beautiful views. Carpark here empty. I think I parked in the bus stop rea. Now off to snag this one. Cheers. Then a walk to the point and back to read all those interesting looking signs. .
Day 8, Thursday 27 January - from Tokerau Beach dropping down leaving Zara in KeriKeri. Then exploring Kaikohe, Opononi and Omapere with Toby and Lenny, before returning to Zara in KeriKeri. The fishy series this morning before leaving Tokerau B. Lots to do so lets get moving!
Zara, Toby, Lenny and I are on our North Island expidition for a couple of weeks. Got The Seagnoid along for the first 4 days, heading to the Auckland Mega. PWGTs and TMGTs are on the radar for this trip. Lots of driving on gravel roads and visited lots of amazing places on our 6000km road trip snagging 200+ caches along the way. Visiting Cape Reinga, Bay of Islands, Gisborne and White Rock along our journey. Another awesome trip. Thanks to all CO's.

7 August 2021 3:55 pm... just as retrieved cache 8 kids arrived... beautiful view. TFTC butchie bum # 3535
This find takes me to just over 50% find rate for the coast side of the circle. When the GPS system settled, it was 2 metres out. Phew,
Decided to take the 'long way' back to Auckland from Kerikeri on a somewhat wet, bleak day. Luckily the rain stopped and clouds lifted as I came through Opononi and Omapere. Love visiting the Hokianga. What a beautiful view and a great place for a cache! TFTC
Stopped in and replaced container here as yes was missing. Algood to go. enjoy but be mindful of muggles.
Roadtrip time, day 8.
I have used the Easter weekend combined with taking 4 days leave this week to get in a 9-day driving tour, hoping to get as far north as 90 mile beach in order to seek the recently published PWGT caches throughout Northland, as well as catch up with 4 different sets of friends.
Having spent last night at the campground in Opononi, I knew today would be a bit of a mad dash to try to get up to Pukenui and then back down to Kaiwaka by this evening, especially with the section of SH1 between Okaihau and Kaitaia still out of action due to a slip. I knew I would see a lot of SH10 today.
But whilst I was here I thought I would take the time to see how well I did with this "Golden Circle" series of caches. As it turned out, I had a very mixed set of results. Some were straightforward finds and others left me scratching my head.
I was here in order to head over to get the nearby Virtual, but hoped to get this one too whilst passing. But the co-ords only led me into the middle of some flax (really not my favourite place to look for caches) and it just didn't 'feel' right. There were some Manuka trees nearby which felt like a better location, but I couldn't find a cache there either. The Hint really didn't help me in any way to narrow down what I might be looking for, and after 10 minutes of fruitless searching I gave up and moved on.

Looked around for a good while, but due to approaching muggles the search was cut short. Keen to come back for the find
Had a quick look hoping it would be easy to retrieve with muggles nearby. Cache was not obvious
The phone jumped around a bit and pointed us a bit further off the track/grass than we felt comfortable going, but it then settled down and the cache was hanging around just where we thought it would be.
Found with GeohoundandI, whilst Daddypig123 and daddypig's assistant walked the geohound the other way down the road (where he was permitted to go)

A quick find here on our way back from the virtual. Thankfully the rain and mist had cleared so we could enjoy the scenic views.
The string of DNFs made me search a bit less, but coords are jumpy and I didn’t spot it.
Thanks anyway!
Beautiful view!

Found after a hunt around. Wasn't anywhere near the coordinates on my phone which led me to a cabbage tree, but spot on for my friend's phone. Hanging above. TFTC

It was Christmas day with the family, and with such beautiful weather, we thought it would be a waste if we didn't go out for a walk and visit the water. So a majority of the family hopped into the car to take a drive down to here, and I decided that it would also be advantageous to collect a couple of geocaches while we were there.
After a walk around the paths to the different viewpoints and some quick adventures in the various nearby rock pools, we headed back to the car park. However, before we left, I quickly managed to sneak off and find this geocache, which I instantly spotted walking to GZ. TFTC!

Starting the drive back home today but wanted to stop in here first before we got on the road.
Took a bit of hunting up and down before I found it in what I thought was the most likely spot originally. Well hidden - TFTC

Traveling from Paihia to the west coast and stopped to admire the spectacular views and a quick find TFTC
Tramyard and I headed up north on a roadtrip to find the Northland geotour caches. We would have been up this way last weekend if I wasn't completing a half-marathon for charity and tramyard wasn't at a competition.
We stayed near Opononi last night and were heading back to Auckland via the west coast. Today we were targeting high favourite caches and virtuals after completing the geotour caches up north.
I followed the geotrail to locate this cache. Thought I might have a little trouble locating the cache as there were many possibilities, but quickly spotted it lying on the ground.

Was keen as to call in down this road. A virtual, a trad and the bach owned by Kaela's parents, coincidence or what? Took a few minutes to get at the right angle and as I glanced at where my son was searching I spotted the cache hanging around, awaiting a find. FP here for the views. T F T C butchie bum.
Day 1 involved heading across from Ngunguru to Waipoua Forest camp-site to collect some of them and head back to Tutukaka Coast via Kaikohe. Quite a day of driving and scenery and good times together.
Me and mrs capperz are up in Northland visiting our son, his partner and their four kiddies under 3 years old! Should be fun catching up and seeing how they've come on sice we last saw them 5 months ago in Australia. We headed up via re-locatable car from Wellington to Auckland Airport, via Whanganui overnight at daughter's, then swapped into our own hire car from Saturday until we head back to Marlbro next Wednesday evening. Not too many caching targets, but a few possibilities and hope to get the Virtuals as we pass them.

Day seven of our 11 day binge trip we are signing as NNES. We are up North visiting our friend Gracie's GPS fun. We are having a wee road trip to the kauri trees together. One of the hints was correct.
Yay school holidays! Time for a road trip with my friend Ethness. I flew from Christchurch to Wellington. The idea is to drive up to the top of the North Island and back. We planned the trip ages ago.
Thanks butchie bum for placing this geocache 7804 find for me.
Sadly there was no large event in New Zealand in 2019 but there are a few Mega events planned in Australia. New Zealand will have another large event in 2020 in Auckland.
======== NZ Mega 2020 ========
Planning for the NZ Mega 2020 event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. Thanks for hiding this geocache.

A bit of a hunt for this one. The school holidays are here and NosyNel and I are on a road trip north - to the far north. GraciesGPSfun has joined us. TFTC. Signed NNESGGF.

Set off early this morning for a well earned caching trip with my buddy and navigator at my side to get as many of these new caches that I could find. The day dawned bright and sunny so we set off to the wop wops in the trusty geo mobile. This one has been eluding me for a long time. After visiting the nearby virtual we stopped here on the way back to the car. It was starting to get dark so the super bright torch was brought into action and after a quick flash around the cache was in hand. TFTC.
Quickly found after walking out to the view point. Up visiting from Dunedin. Tftc
Clue was no help at all and coordinates were not helpful. Searched and searched but found nothing
Had DNF here during the summer. Glad to see it replaced. Appreciated very much. TFTC
Heading to the far North for a few days rest & recreation via a round about route which brought us through the Waipoua Forest and the Hokianga. Enjoying a late afternoon walk with views. We are not usually very good at spotting this type of hide but luckily Kiwiscot was onto this pretty quick. I think she was over geocaching for the day and was wanting to get back to the car. Unfortunately for her we still had a few more to collect. TFTC
Found within a couple of minutes by picking one half of the hint, fortunately picked the right half first. Fab scenic spot even on a blustery day like today. TFTC
We wanted more finds for today's calendar date, so we planned a trip to Opononi to find some of the Golden Circle Series. Rain was forecast but it mostly held off until our last few finds, though the very strong winds were challenging at times! Some of the finds had us hunting for a while, but we had no DNFs until the last cache on our list.
Scenic Views indeed. Have always loved the views from up here. Not overly pleasant here today though, as there was a very fierce wind blowing. One of us spied the cache while the other was searching lower. TFTC

Found as a part of a previous group TanjackMüley, aka WanderingSparrow. Now I'm continuing on my own. TFTC
Cords showed us around 3m off and using geo trails and assumed by the hint it’s hangaing/hanging but base level we searched. Ignore that it’s either one or the other but not BOTH. Not sure why the co left such a misleading hint without explaining. But after 20minutes we found. Tftc.
On our way to Kerikeri we decided to take the slightly longer route which took us throught the Waipoua Forest, Omapere, Kaikohe and Ohaeawai to try for my first First To Find close to the Waipoua forest. This is the fifth cache we were able to find on our journey today. After taking in the views at the lookout I proceeded to GZ to finally find this one after giving up on it a few month ago. Again the GPS pointed me into the flex but this time I was lucky and found the Cache quickly after a short search around the area not focused on my GPS but on looking in places I had not looked before. Now continueing towards Kerikeri and maybe stopping at a few more Caches on the way. TFTC
I am traveling with my daughter Lucinka mundlinka and son Negrritos across the New Zealand. We are from Prague, Czech Republic. We love "geocaching", the main target is caches )
Many beautiful caches, amazing and unforgettable experiences, thank all owners, TFTC )

I came out to this beautiful area with the GeoMissus, GeoYoungling #3, and my GeoFather-in-law. Nice, changeable weather today, but very fun. Had a good bash around the trees, but came up empty. We did have a nice picnic before the skies opened up again. Nice place!
I gave up in utter frustration after two 20 min sessions. GZ appeared to be pointing to flax bushes but who in their right mind would make a find so difficult when it is part of a series. I hunted everywhere and just couldn't find it. I spread myself out, followed likely trails and looked even in places I figured it wouldn't be and still no joy.
Very annoyed!

With Lemmer in New Zealand at amazing caches. Thank you for showing all that beautiful places. flatrate
Found together with tenavat on our holidays. Thank you very much for this great cache.

Found this way on the way to the west. Thank you very much for the cache and excuse the unspecific log, there have been too many caches and no opportunity to log because there was no internet.
On the way to the south - direction Coromandel, we stop and log this cache.

Hmmm. GZ is in a LARGE number of flaxes. We had a big hunt there, and anothe big hunt in the small manukas nearby. No idea at all where this one is hidden.
Managed to locate the cache rather quickly. It was a fairly busy spot and managed to sign and put back before muggles walked past.
During our trip through NZ we had time to look for a few caches. This one was one of them. Thank you for showing this lovely place! We logged as Team EIN. TftC! Greetings from Germany! - Willow

Out on a mission today, to collect as many caches as possible toward the Hidden Creatures souvenirs. With very few unfound local caches, a decent journey was required. Left at dawn and covered over 300km through the winding gravel back roads of Northland, passing through Twin Bridges, Donnelley's Crossing, Waipoua forest, Omapere, Opononi and Taheke, before the heavy rain finally set in. This heavy rain, combined with the sunset, put a halt to further searching, so had to settle in the end for 29 finds and 7 DNFs for the day.
At Omapere now, so time for a walk out to the headland and try for all three caches out here. GPS had pointed me a bit away from this one, but once the GC senses kicked in, the cache was soon located. TFTC
