Hi butchie bum
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.
Regards
TheCoddiwompler

Roadtrip time, day 8.
I have used the Easter weekend combined with taking 4 days leave this week to get in a 9-day driving tour, hoping to get as far north as 90 mile beach in order to seek the recently published PWGT caches throughout Northland, as well as catch up with 4 different sets of friends.
Having spent last night at the campground in Opononi, I knew today would be a bit of a mad dash to try to get up to Pukenui and then back down to Kaiwaka by this evening, especially with the section of SH1 between Okaihau and Kaitaia still out of action due to a slip. I knew I would see a lot of SH10 today.
But whilst I was here I thought I would take the time to see how well I did with this "Golden Circle" series of caches. As it turned out, I had a very mixed set of results. Some were straightforward finds and others left me scratching my head.
Taking my cue from the Hint, I had a search around every tree within about 15m from the posted co-ords, but had no luck here today. Lots of good hiding locations found, but no cache.
Hard to say whether this one is likely to actually be missing as most of the trees were quite overgrown with other vegetation so a cache might easily get overlooked.

I write "WRITE NOTE" because it's a time when we can't go on a long adventure, so I travel in the memories of my visits. That's why I'm only stretching the Travel Bug from the adventures in New Zealand. Writing "Found it" is no longer correct, but it wasn't today.
I am sending a beautiful greeting from the Czech Republic.

Had a good poke around for ages, unfortunately not there for us today. Spotted a lid on ground. Thanks anyway, hopefully will be back at some other time.
After some wedges and a beer at the pub, time to crack on with the next wonders of the World Series.
Millie from Team Trefoil was first to spot this cheeky fella! Having a great day today and I think we have 4 keen new catchers! TFTC
Collecting a few in the area in the early morning before leaving town! Popped into the info centre also. TFTC!!
During our roadtrip through New Zealand I found this cache "Golden Circle Series "INfo" (Northland)" from butchie bum on 20 maart 2020 14:47.
Groetjes/Greetings and TFTC from a Dutchman (a long way from home, but home is here the heart is, on the bus).

Found with Nanook after a long day of driving. Only got two in the series before darkness halted our search. TFTC.
I came up here to have Christmas with my family and decided to sneak away this morning on a run to find a few geocaches before everybody woke up.
I read the clue before arriving at GZ, so finding the geocache was easier than expected once I got there; it was literally in the first place I looked. TFTC!

Staying around the corner but popped in nearby for some fish n chips for dinner and took advantage of this cache being nearby to run down and make a grab for it while we were waiting.
Didn't take too long to get the cache in hand and I had time for one more before dinner. TFTC

On the way to the kauri trees we made a break. We used it for a small lunch and a cache.

Tramyard and I headed up north on a roadtrip to find the Northland geotour caches. We would have been up this way last weekend if I wasn't completing a half-marathon for charity and tramyard wasn't at a competition.
We left Auckland early and headed straight to the Opua to catch the ferry across the harbour before returning to Paihia and Waitangi. We made a small detour to Kerikeri to claim the new virtual at the Stone Store before continuing over this way to complete the geotours. Heading over to Opononi for dinner and to a campsite.
We walked over from the previous cache by the dolphin sculpture as it was still a bit early to order dinner. Found quickly once in the right location.

Heading to the far North for a few days rest & recreation via a round about route which brought us through the Waipoua Forest and the Hokianga. Stopped here to collect this cache and pick up a Mystery In The Museum clue. Took us a few minutes to locate as we were looking to low. TFTC
We wanted more finds for today's calendar date, so we planned a trip to Opononi to find some of the Golden Circle Series. Rain was forecast but it mostly held off until our last few finds, though the very strong winds were challenging at times! Some of the finds had us hunting for a while, but we had no DNFs until the last cache on our list.
A busy place here today at the Info Site. The roadworks out front made access a little bit tricky. Initially we couldn't see where we needed to be, but a little further on we found the right GZ - and there was even a cache there! Thanks.

After making an after work dash tonight to try for an FTF on the new virtual and being successful at that, I thought it would be a shame to leave the area without at least trying for a few more finds.
Noticed that this one had been replaced not long ago, so I was hopeful of converting a previous DNF into a yellow smilie tonight. Once at GZ, I was able to make a quick find this time. Signed the log and then replaced safe and secure as found. TFTC

Found as a part of a previous group TanjackMüley, aka WanderingSparrow. Now I'm continuing on my own. TFTC
After a poke around in the correct tree we looked up old imagines and it helped massively as we was looking to low. It was shining in our direction. Tftc
TFTC.... another one ticked off the Golden Circle series!
Geodad Matini264 was quick to find this one once we reached GZ today after a day with our tangata whaiora fishing.
He was quick to spot that something really didnt belong on this type of tree to reveal the newly replaced GC.
Works being done on the beach today but was easy to retrieve, sign and replace without suspicion!
So glad the geo team were together to grab a couple today
Looking forward to getting back out here to get them all!

Hi, Happy cachers. Have spent the day in the beautiful sunshine at Opo and fixed all my Goldern Circle series caches. So all waiting for some smile faces. New container here and new log. enjoy
popped in today while going past Have placed a new log and container here as Yes sadly it was missing. so all up and going again.
Today we travelled from Rawene to Whangarei and picked up several caches along the way. We didn't stop at all of them, we couldn't find all the ones we searched for but we found a view and loved the places shown to us. That's what geocaching is about! Thanks to all the CO's for hiding and maintaining them!
Searched and searched but couldn't find it...

Looked around most of the trees in the vicinity - no cache. The fence near GZ looks like it has been put in very recently. Maybe its now missing.
Out on a mission today, to collect as many caches as possible toward the Hidden Creatures souvenirs. With very few unfound local caches, a decent journey was required. Left at dawn and covered over 300km through the winding gravel back roads of Northland, passing through Twin Bridges, Donnelley's Crossing, Waipoua forest, Omapere, Opononi and Taheke, before the heavy rain finally set in. This heavy rain, combined with the sunset, put a halt to further searching, so had to settle in the end for 29 finds and 7 DNFs for the day.
After rocking it at the cache back down the road, and then having a DNF on the blinking light, headed along to this one. Looked all around the hint locations within 15m of indicated GZ without any luck, so this became the 2nd DNF in a row. Thx anyway.

Een stukje verder in dit leuke plaatsje heb ik deze ook kunnen vinden. Je had mooi uitzicht over de zandduinen.

Found plastic container without lid which looked suspiciously like cache container. Couldn't find any other sign of cache.
Found during our holiday to New Zealand together with GeoFinn. Touring in a campervan through this amazing country; second time here, now with our son. 5 weeks was over in a blink; already plans for a third time.
Travelling, geocaching, hiking, kayakking, swimming, mountains, lakes, geyers, beaches; it was amazing. CO's thanks for your cache, it made our trips even more fun.

Opononi, what a beautiful name for the little town we just arrived in. After a quick visit at the i-Site and grabbing a few things at 4SQ, we decided to look for th3 two caches next to our van. This one was the first, piece of cake. TFTC butchie bum!

A circle at the western coast with 2 handfuls of caches sounds very tempting- we're giving it a try
Well found but only when I started to leave GL

DNF unfortunately. Stopped in beautiful Opononi on the Hokianga for a rest and tried to find this one to no Avail. Tried all of the terees in the vicinity but alas no Cache!! Ah well, the Fish n Chips were worth the drive alone and we'll be back again.
This one took a lot longer than it should with no-one around, considering I was parked right beside it. Thanks for the maintenance. TFTC.
Checked out a dozen gerrs, but couldn't find it.

With Gap (of Fap and Gap) and Mr Davidson (of Davidson clan). Signed most finds as BGH.
Visiting Northland for Easter... The plan for today was to head up the Kauri Coast to Hokianga Harbour , then skip across to the Pacific Coast until we were somewhere near Kaitaia. We really hope to make a big dent into several challenges we are working on...
Another fail... "This hint is helpful," said nobody... ever. This series probably needs checking. We found it quite surprising that there is a single found log in among several DNFs.
