Second find for the day while heading to Whakatane for the day. Super quick find (as the CO says in the cache page) only delay was waiting for the traffic to pass to make the retrieve. Smiled when I read the log and saw the last finder, we had been at an event together in Dec back in Wellington and she had found one of our own caches soon afterwards leaving a nice log. Signed this log then cache returned safely in the next break in traffic. TFTC
On my way from Tauranga to Whakatane this cool box was right on the way
Hadn't been found for quite a while - but it is in good condition! [^]
Thanks to Geckoh for this cache - and cheers from Germany!

A very wet walk in to this one after the major storm last night, should have brought our gumboots! Or walked down from the sand dunes.. Easy find, TNLNSL. TFTC.
Found it accidentally looking for a Munzee at the same location, swapped one coin for another.
Our first cache of the day. On the way to Whakatane to walk the Kohi Point Track.
A nice quick easy find to start our day. Thanks Geckoh

The first find of our 4 day road trip. One day we will make that walk into the wetlands. The hint stood out so we found it readily, and would you believe it...the cache was NOT small and magnetic. Hardest part was waiting for a break in the traffic. TNLN TFTC

Park & Grab, says it all really. This was out last for the day before heading home. We had a very enjoyable afternoon at Matata.
Quiet around here, early on a Sunday morning. A good time for caching!
Left a pet rock - a lion. TFTC

Had a trailer on heading west and managed to overshoot the stopping place. Nothing that a short trot back down the road couldn't fix.
Many thanks

The last lazy GC grab of the day after another big haul. Geo kiddies sat fed up in the car while I got this one, we all have different tolerance levels!. Thanks.
Quick find. Unfortunately didn't have time to walk in. The Italian Job was here....!
Was indeed a nice easy park and grab although there was a lot of traffic today, so had to be a little bit careful, and not look too obvious.
Dropped off the Dolphin TB to wistfully watch the sea for a while.

After a night punctuated by the sound of distant explosions of Guy Fawkes fireworks, then the sound of gentle rain, we were surprised to learn there had actually been an earthquake overnight. Together with the Pprass team we continued our journey westward. Yes this was a true 'Park n Grab' and our names were added to the log.
TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt Geckoh.

Found at 10:51 AM GAFF5 in the company of Phetlern. Out of town now and we are heading NW - that was a very nice town BTW.
Not very keen on cache descriptions that tell us where to look for the cache as it makes the GPS redundant - now tell me why did we spend $700 on a GPS again?
Thanks Geckoh

Nice quick stop for the cache. In the area with TuisReturn hunting caches and enjoying a good roadtrip. SL TFTC
We were ever so glad we stopped for this one. The cache lid was very loose, and there was nothing inside [xx(][xx(][xx(]. A quick scan around, and saw the Log Book in the grass. On closer inspection also found trade items in the dirt.
So we dried out the Log Book, and gave it a nice new bag. Put everything back together with a couple of extra small trades for the children. Good to go, and thanks for the cache.

A nice easy find to start the day and our return journey home a different way from Kawerau. Nice to see a decent size cache. +TB. SL. TFTC.
Looked everywhere for this one, the clue didn't make sense and was hopeless, walked for miles in gorse and bracken wearing jandals in the rain and sleet crossing the rivers fords and still didn't find it. Oh hang about - that wasn't this cache!
The easiest one of the day!!!! Thanks!

Was anticipating the usual cache container that goes with guardrails. Surprised to find a more substantial cache. Kids swapped out a few bits and pieces. TFTC.
Bit of a late afternoon drive around the block looking for the Gecko's tail in the footsteps of the invisible but ever-present Mac Ross!!
Taking the Chelsea Teddy Bear TB for a kick-around!!
