My wife likes the Antique Centre on the corner. I went for a walk while she was having a browse. TFTC
A beautiful afternoon to catch up on a SoBad cache. Nice afternoon for a stroll along Richmond's walkways. TFTC!
Found with NZDi. We had to come across the hill today to do the last of our Christmas shopping, starting in Nelson and finishing up in Richmond. After the shopping was completed we had a couple of hours spare to do some caching in the local area before heading home.
We managed to find 10 in total which worked out to be eight 'traditionals' with a 'puzzle' at the beginning and end to 'bookend' them. After getting BGSc 101, we headed to this section of the Great Taste Trail to get a quick half dozen 'traditionals'.
After getting half a dozen 'traditionals' on the Great Taste Trail either side of the Appleby over-bridge, we were about to head home when NZDi remembered a last bit of shopping she need to do, so we headed back into Richmond. While she was in shopping, I checked out the area for some more handy caches and when she returned we took a short walk and got another three.
This was the second and after reading the hint there was only one place it could have really been at GZ, and it was.

#8694. Walked from Shearer Terrace in Richmond, where we were staying. GZ was all quiet when we visited. Relatively quick find. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

#2808. After attending a funeral in Blenheim yesterday, I decided to spend the night in Nelson and give myself a chance to make start on the very large numbers of caches in this region. By 4pm when I dropped off the rental car at the airport, I had managed to find 37 caches between Nelson and Motueka (plus one more cache in Wellington to fulfil the requirements for the "North and South Island in One Day Challenge" GC5RJFK). Parked the car and headed down the walkway. Decided there was really only one logical place it could be and on retrieving it I finally appreciated the cache name. Nice hiding spot. Signed the log and replaced the cache as found. Thanks for hiding the cache here.
Got muggled by a dog walker just as I started to look... kept walking and think i got away with it. Returned to find cache with my hands only just small enough.

It was a caching sort of day, lovely and sunny in the middle of winter. Glad Mr HG's hand isn't any bigger!!

Death by muggle in these walkways. So, while there were a few folks around on a sunny Saturday afternoon we were pleased to be in and out of here without being discovered.
Cache find was straightforward, once we got ourselves in the right area of the territory.
Geocache in order. Log signed; safely re-hidden, just as found.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

With a caching catch up event on in Nelson this afternoon I was invited along to join Capperz and The Seagnoid on a day's caching in the Nelson area. For once my other weekend plans didn't clash and I was able to tag along and get a few caches on the books. It's always nice to try out a new area and see the variety of different hides along the way. Quick find after a short drive as we continued exploring Richmond.

Today is a caching event in Nelson day. So today must also be a caching mission to Nelson day too!
Setting off early from our current homes at Woodbourne the Seagnoid and G H 6 7 1 0 were met at the breakfast hall for a quick feed prior to setting off 'over the hill'.
Meeting at 0630 and returning around 8 in the evening it was a big day all round for all concerned (is there any other way to have a Geocaching day, than big?)
This was one of the caches we did whilst carrying out a nice big loop walk in the beautiful hot sunshine on the Summers day. It was a quick and easy find and the well hidden cache was appreciated.
Nice and easy find whilst in this nice area

[green] Capperz, GH6710 and I are in Nelson for an event and to do a little caching on the side. While waiting for the event start time we worked this little power trail. Brilliant summer's day - got a little concerned that I had left the sunscreen and bandanna in the car, but it was okay, I didn't get burnt.
I like these caches in footpath shortcuts

A bunch of muggles tat the bottom gave me a funny look as I tried to turn the bike around, otherwise nice and easy. Cheers
Summer and caching just go together, walked from the mall through Washbourne gardens. TFTC
On a big mission up to Nelson over Show Weekend with Purdiepurdie, Karma Reprint and Team_Gaters we signed our cache finds as PKTT the 'power packet' but we called ourselves the 'G4'. We headed off on Friday morning at 4.30am and made our way to Nelson today. We drove heaps, laughed heaps, found heaps of caches and poke our noses here and there. It was a great day we didn't stop until about 9.30pm for a cuppa and relax and getting ready to do it all again tomorrow!
Quick find, onto the next one.
Thanks for the cache.

TFTC. Out to play for the weekend with the destination of Nelson. Caching crew on board were Karma Reprint, Team_Gaters and TheWanglers, logged as PKTT for this trip. Gosh did we have fun looking for caches, most of which we found, in this very beautiful part of our country.
Having driven up from ChCh today we decided to stretch our legs by wandering around Richmond to locate a couple of caches.
Thanks SoBad for placing the cache.

Visited the reserve down the road first, then the cache in its comfy hiding place. Tftc
For the sake of sanity we set off with sonia26642 for a crazy geocaching trip, aiming to cache until we drop. The main destination was Nelson and the ‘surrounding’ area, but then we ended up covering a few miles in three northernmost regions, plus a few in Canterbury. We were signing/stamping the log as 'Team Polak' or ‘TP’ for the two of us on this trip to save logbook space. We found a lot of different caches, city ones, road side, park side, up a hill and on an island, and we enjoyed every single one of them. It was good to be a professional thingfinder for a few days!
We had great fun and are grateful to all CO’s who placed caches for us to find, and help restore our sanity before returning to our other non-geocaching lives!!

This was one of the most epic weeks ever, and definitely my most epic caching week ever.
Me and mum headed up on a holiday north to Nelson and very wider surrounds. In total during the trip, we found almost 500 caches! (470 odd I think, but final results are yet to be in! ) We covered about 3000 odd km I think too. Crazy! And had our absolute best caching day ever too at 160 found. Spend 9 days travelling, caching, and having the best time ever!!
So sorry about not so epic logs, as otherwise this would probably take me the rest of my life to log, especially with two big events to organise coming up! Eeek!!
Almost every single log we signed as 'Team Polak' to avoid needing to write out both usernames taking up space on logsheet - as well as precious caching time!! Haha.
Consec caching day # 705

A cache so cunning you could pin a tail on it and call it a weasel! Found on a day when junior was off school. We decided that caching was the best medicine. And it was. Thanks SoBad!
#7712. I had already located this cache while street walking. Today I located a few caches Troodles had already found while streaking (day 2 of my current non-streak), so stopped by to sign the log. Log book full. TFTC.
