Cache MIA . Bye bye Sad

14-Jan-13
Was in the area with kmace this evening and this was next on the list. Great playground here but after a good search couldn't find the cache. Can't even blame the nearby muggles. Will keep an eye on this one and will hunt again.

12-Jan-13
Spent an hour around the location. GPS messed about a lot and told us it was in the tarmac path! Many muggles, so had to be circumspect in our search. Finally had to give up. Will try another day.

A sunny Sunday evening, art the tail end of a cricket match and a birthday party, is also not going to result in a smiley... As I rode in from the south I knew there was no chance, especially when GZ was occupied... so the cache from the other hide made a flying visit and I looped back to see if it was safe to place it back where it belonged.

Yum yum!

26-Oct-12
At first I did not want to touch it

17-Oct-12
Needed a quick cache to fill in a day on the calendar, and as I was working in the same street as the cache this one was perfect. Just as I reached GZ the doors of the nearby clubhouse opened up and dozens of senior citizens streamed out. So I had to sit and wait for them to leave, but its a nice park so it wasnt too onerous. After that it was a quick find and sign. I only wished the cache was placed further away from the play equipment because I think playgrounds and caches are a bad combination these days.

22-Sep-12
Saw the cache and thought "Naaa that couldn't be it". Spent 10 mins searching around and went back - sure enought it was it! Didn't SL because it was jammed in too tight. TFTC

21-Sep-12
Found it this afternoon
Log very tight in holder both to get out and then back in

19-Aug-12
Park was sooooo busy with mugglers everywhere. Waited for 25min for 2 mini mugglers to get off the swings. Two minutes later another 2 mugglers arrived wanting to use the swings. So after 45min we gave up as we couldn't get anywhere near GZ. Will be back another day

15-Aug-12
There was a few parents with kids in the playground when we arrived, so we could only have a quick look around to establish a rough GZ. Then the heavens opened and everyone else scurried for their cars. We checked around GZ, found the hide & signed the log. Unfortunately we got TOTAL soaked in the process.

Thanks for the cache.

Muggle central today with PrincessDiala, lochb and alansee, thankfully being a group we didn't stand out in the crowds!!

After a bit of circling around due to gps difficulties we managed to come together at the point of GZ

we made a quick group find and slinked away with apparently noone the wiser!!

Trying to catch up finds from months ago, apologies for the belated log.

Found in the company of Alansee, Coley_Babee and lochb.
It took some time to locate the cache as there were occupants in the swings, and a game was being played nearby.
The cache was found, but no logsheet! No worries, one was added and we were on our way again!

Thanks kupkake kaos for this cache.

That would be find number 5000 for me!
PrincessDiala, Alansee and Colee_baby came along to help me reach this milestone. Find number 22 for the day.
We initially struggled as there was a game going on, and the swings were in use by a muggle with kids. I spotted the cache eventually. Alansee added a new log sheet. TFTC

Found today in the company of Coley_baby, Princess Diala and Lochb. With a football game in full swing things didn't look that promising when we first arrived but we persisted and found that GZ was just far enough away to allow a reasonable search. Coley_Baby found what the rest of us didn't quite manage to. There was no log so we replaced it and then we were on our way.

Great hide and easy find. TFTC
Log is full so I had to squeeze my name in really small!

This one took me ages, and it was all my own fault.
WHile my Garmin tried to tell me the prize was on the swing, I sat nearby and waited for the mum to get off the phone and move on. After 5 minutes, she wandered off, and I made a quick search. Hmmm, expanding the search, reading the hint, and finally seeing the prize had me laughing.
Thanks again kupkake kaos

Found with the help of the hint. Needs a new log book.

It was very busy here today with Mums and kids everywhere. The Chief believed he knew where he needed to look but the space was occupied by kids and prams, so even though we had EB Nano with us as the perfect cover we thought searching around a couple of prams, particularly one with a small person in it would definitely be considered an invasion...bugger! So we played with our small person for a bit to help us get over our disappointment. Gratefully, sibling of the babe in pram decided it was home time! Screaming his displeasure over being tired and having to leave, allowing us to claim exhaustion at having to play with our busy 8 year old and have a 'rest'. Cache duly found by said 8 year old, yes he does come in handy! BTW, that bouncy swing thingy was great fun and quite a workout keeping Nano entertained/terrified! TFTC

nice hide first one we have found thanks

12-May-12
When we came here it was a nice day, and there were heaps of people around. We thought this would be a problem, but it just wasn't! Loved the hide, TFTC.

While geogirl was at dancing, geomum and geoson completed a stealthy find. TFTC
We forgot our log extraction tool so could not sign log:(

After a good nights caching with Burge & PantherX we decided to come back and finally find this one.

After waiting for the football clubs "last drinks" (some might have been better off finishing long before) we were at last able to retrieve it.

Great hiding place an container.
TFTC

12-May-12
Found at 22.50 on a night caching run with Burge and Scarecrow_01.

Unbelievably there were still muggles around at this time as a function was wrapping up at the nearby facilities. We waited around for them to move off before making the find. A clever hide that had us stumped for a few minutes! Log sheet is quite full and will need replacing. TFTC.

12-May-12
After waiting in the park for the drunk to fall down the stairs at the sports club we eventual had the chance to pounce and had the cache in hand. Tftc tnln sl

Tonight was going to be another legendary night caching run for team TDC (Quasar3671, Blacklegend and TrailRunning). Having decided the route to collect new caches in and around Melbourne, the team set about solving a few of the newly published unknown caches so that they could be collected during the night. Thanks for teh easy find.

It was Saturday, the footy was on, and it didn't look too good. We found a parking spot right outside, so we walked to GZ just to have a look. We sat at the table. There were muggles in the playground, but we located the cache without drawing much attention to ourselves.
Thanks, Robmc.

14-Apr-12
I didn't think we would get this as footy was taking place on the field.
However GZ was quiet enough for us and after we sat down we made our stealthy search.
Thanks

I hit the road tonight with Marshy on our usual Monday night cache run. Trailrunning, who is part of The Demolition Crew was not able to come out this night so it was just myself and Marshy. We had a heap of puzzles solved and multis GZ coords to go to so our plan was to get as many of those during the night, as well as any other cache along the way. We had a great run with about 40 caches netted for the night.
Our last find for the night. We pondered on the type of hide as we made our way to the cache; and we were corrrect in our assumption. Marshy found the hide and we signed the log.
Thanks for the hide.

One of about 40 finds on another installment in the legendary night caching runs of "The Demolition Crew" aka me, Quasar3671 and Trailrunning. Tonight we were minus Trailrunning, so it was just Marty and I. It was a clean up night for multi's and mystery caches. We have worked on so many over the previous months, tonight was the final chapter for them, time to collect so to speak. So we did.

Last cache for the night, and a pretty quick find. Have seen a few of these before, so when we spotted it, it was all done. TFTC. Time for sleep..... An a UDL or two.

11-Apr-12
park was very busy.
i did one lap. and realise i couldnt get it today.

10-Apr-12
Fairly quick find on a sunny day off, out in the little car. I share gmj3191's aversion to caches in playgrounds - please put them elsewhere!! TFTC

08-Apr-12
StephanieK asked if she could go to the mushroom park today, so we happily paid a visit. Everyone must have been munching away on their easter eggs at home, as the park only had one other family. After a cool time spinning around on the giant spinning contraption, the other family moved on and we were able to grab the cache. Thanks kupkake kaos for the cache.

Lemmykc and I had arranged to meet here at about 2:30pm.
A micro in a playground, oh well. I tried to get my little nephew to come but he wouldn't, not even the promise of an ice cream was enough to get him to act as a decoy. He wanted to play with my adult daughter on our trampoline.
Lemmykc and I met up, and we quickly identified the most likely hiding spot but it was occupied by a couple watching their kids play. We hung around in the background waiting for them to leave but it took a while, and after they spotted us we received some nervous scrutiny.
They eventually left and we claimed the required location, and by then Liam's mum had joined us which gave us a level of social acceptability in this location.
The cache was soon found by Liam and the log duly signed by both of us.
Thanks for the cache, although my personal feeling is that playground proximities should be off limits like school proximities are.

Well Geoff has really said it all. I was here on Monday when it was published however being the last week of school, I was overloaded with homework Sad. So I left it till today. I made some quick plans with gmj3191 to come here after a drop off. I arrived and saw him sitting on the bench, meaning he was either waiting for me or there were too many muggles. It turned out it was both! We talked while we waited for muggles to leave the suspected GZ and after gaining some very suspicious looks, we moved onto the prey. I found the cache quite quickly in a hide I suspected. It also turns out that I played cricket in this park a few months ago. Thanks again Smile.

Wandered to this playground under cover of darkness after work and made the gooey find. TFTC.

Out to fill in todays square on the calender, we ventered up to this one for a look,
When we arrived there was a few muggles in the playground so we joined them in plating on the equipment until they left then we had a look around, searching one spot and then speading out, but not finding it, came back to where we stated and there it was, I must have opened my eyes the second time around, don't know how I missed it on the first look.
Very small log.
Thanks to kupkake kaos for this cache.
