Been awhile between drinks for this cache. Thought it was going to be a DNF but widened the search a little and there it was . Thanks
As we have no idea of the area wee risked a beach drive in the new x-trail hoping to not get caught by any incoming tide. Stopping on the beach and making the 180 meter trek on foot a great container was found signed and returned. We do love honeycomb preferring the crunchie over the violet crumble but we had no appetite for the brick or stone type.No issue returning from the sand back to solid ground but did enjoy the roller coaster. Thank you for the placement of the Honeycomb Tank cache ajtmb find number 7880 on 18 May 2021 at 4:38 pm
Found while over on Yorke Peninsula for a few days as back-up crew to geo-sis and geo-bro completing the Walk-the-Yorke. We stayed at Wool Bay for the first night, camped out in buffeting winds and squally rain at Barker Rocks on the second night and returned to Wool Bay for the last night. In the meantime, spent the daylight hours finding caches along the way. Thanks for the cache ajtmb!
Out for a mid Yorke day with Jack and Purrfect Di,
all stamped as team Mattycat
Isn't it great how these things just hang in there together even as erosion takes its toll.
Cache spotted quickly. Even had the names of some recent muggles in the log.
thanks for the hide and the smiley ajtmb
- - cache at a social distance if you can - -
Dodge any bugs (except travel bugs of course)
- avoid people completely if you can [:o)]
- get out and cache in the regions !

Parked up and made the walk over to GZ we searched all around the tank but didn’t have any luck. Davidwazza had a read of some logs aloud and I soon made my way over to the near by bush where the cache was found
Today With the weather more promising on the yorke peninsula than in Adelaide, Davidwazza and I decided to head over and clean out as much as we could as well as doing quite a bit of beach 4wdriving.
In total 87 finds within 1 DNF for the day.
Thanks for the Cache

Today, the weather was forecast to be dismal with thunderstorms and a rain drenching! Consequently, gridge98 and I retreated to the more dry vicinity of Upper Yorke Peninsula. Other than a few drizzles, we had good weather. We visited Paskeville, Kadina, Moonta, Balgowan, Point Pearce, Maitland, and Arthurton, with highlights of the mining relics, 4WD-ing along the west coast beach, and finally dinner and heading around Maitland. A long day out and about, arriving home just after midnight.
Cool honeycomb tank here! We had some trouble trying to locate this cache, so I ended up deciding to head up to check the inside. As I was sitting on the walls, I must have been some ants nest, and every time I flicked them off, more crawled on me. A high leap down, just as gridge98 had found the cache. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. It did feel like the coordinates were a little out with this one. Thanks ajtmb for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Having a great time exploring these tracks and discovering snippets of heritage along the way. TFTC
Continuing our loop around the point to here...
The road wasn't too bad, and well used today.
The geokids were intrigued by the structure and how it came to be like it is.
Glad the cache was no-where near the tank!

Thanks

Out for another fun day caching with LLL51 and Madham02. Found in a place we weren't expecting, but a much more appropriate hide.
Thanks for the cache ajtmb.
Thanks for the cache ajtmb.
Found with my Hero Husband (Moneydork) and a few other cachers on a weekend away. Thanks.
What a weekend!
Set out Saturday with Dennisc52, CPwanderer and Clare007 in Dennisc52's geomobile, accompanied by Moneydork and Tounga in theirs.
We met firesafe over there too.
I bailed ship on Saturday night when Dennisc52 and crew returned home, so that I could continue to cache on Sunday with Laighside Legends, firesafe and Moneydork and Tounga.
By the end of the weekend, I had finished the 'current' geoart on YP and totalled 275 & 3DNFs .
Part 2 of the adventure: Laighside and I had the pleasure of being driven by firesafe to some great caching and historical spots that I had never been to before.
Ok, so we found the tank and the cache and then.........
If anyone knows what the hole in the ground is/was...please let me know!
We sure came up with some interesting guesses.

After a day yesterday down in southern Yorkes for some power trailing (and other caches as well) it was time for some 4WDing up the west coast with locus cache,Moneydork, Leighside Legend and Tounga, grabbing caches along the way. Thanks to all the cache hiders.
Found It!
Found the cache and then we all sat and pondered over what that long skinny hole to east used to be... The result was that none of us really had any idea!

Day two on our coastal exploration between Point Turton and Moonta, beach driving as much as is possible .
After bypassing the track here and going along the shoreline, we ended up back tracking to this cache to ensure we'd completed the whole point [8].
Not exactly where we thought it would be . TNLNSL.
Thanks again Ajtmb.

The Parrot went for a drive around Yorkes for a couple of days and this was one of the many caches I found along the way.
Touring Australia having left Perth in late February we are leisurely touring Australia after having attended Oz Mega.
Today we toured from Maitland to Port Vincent then up and around Pearce Point to Chinamans Well then up to The Gap all in company with iluvtrekking.
What a majestic coastline we thoroughly enjoyed the places that Geocaching took us to today. We took way too many photos and will have to cull some! We had the warmest day we have had for a week with the temperature getting to 20degrees! [^] We started the day with gloves and 2 jumpers but ended it in shirt sleeves.
Thanks for placing a cache to help us explore this area. [^] Entered Pearce Point from Cattle Yards and just loved the area and caches. Managed to avoid falling down any wombat holes, and even saw a Wombat. Very exciting.

Out and about with FelixII exploring the west coast of Yorke Peninsula.
We left the Maitland Show Grounds, where we are staying, and headed off westward to a strikingly beautiful and remote coastline which reminded us in many ways of parts of Western Australia.
We loved the tanks, thanks ajtmb.

Tooling around Yorke Peninsula on the Adelaide Cup LWE, we had come up from Port Rickaby hugging the coast and driving the beach wherever possible.
This was the second cache we were able to get in the Point Pearce area, which made a nice change. We had to pass up a number of others earlier because there were muggles camped right on top of them.
Interesting old tank and an easy cache find. Nice to see a nice big one in a suitable container. It’s certainly not the norm anymore . Made no swaps. Thanks for bringing us here AJ. Cheers.

Very cool spot. Yep, we even checked in the tank.............
Clear skies to ajtmb from TeamAstro.
What better way to spend an Australia Day long weekend than on a caching safari around the Yorke Peninsular [^]
Astro and I made our way down one side then up the other of the peninsular, finding lots of great caches along the way and enjoying the fantastic weather and scenery, not to mention the roads!
This was one of our finds for the weekend. Left the ring TB here in this desolate and remote lication!
Cheers & TFTC

Found some smelly mud on the way through.
Traveling along the coast from the Gap Campground with 8 Muggles in 4 4WD's, a great day and views.
Thanks from Barra

A very nicely setup cache. Goannie just not patient enough to complete the little 'nice' puzzle treasure!
Had to widen our search after looking in the obvious, although quite fragile, area first. Thanks
Found in a late afternoon run along the coast.
Always seems bizarre finding structures like this, seemingly in the middle of nowhere.
Thanks for the cache and bringing me here

The tide was out and the tidal sand was good and copact so was able to ride close to the location and walk the last 160mts to the hide. Was looking in the wrong place for a while but realised that this may be a well attended area ( a few cars no more that 200mts away) so widened the search, tftc
Out for the day with TheKellyGang and they were kind enough to visit this cache again after they had visited the location yesterday. Had a great ride out to this one after taking the long way around but we took the shortcut out again.
Great location.

(So this is our 4232nd total find.)
A nice quick find. The erosion here is truly amazing.
We enjoyed our 4WD adventure along some of the beaches and tracks around here.
Took: Nothing
Left: Ball Puzzle
Thanks ajtmb for the hunt today.
