So... just about every finder since my dnf in Jan has indicated the cache is not at listed and up to 16m away... without any adjustment to listed co-ords or relocating the cache back to listed...
Out doing the Ballarat geo tour and grabbed this one in the way, lots of pairs of rocks around. lol found it and stamped the log. TFTC
Sunday already and we're working our way through the geotour caches. Weather is not on our side, so all is a bit harder then needed. Still having heaps of fun!TFTC Wilbert67
We're working our way through the geotour caches and others, this will be another memorable caching trip, a little more challenging due to the weather . Still it's great to be outdoors ans collecting smileys.TFTC J+J.au
Well this one is the last cache for me tonight, i am ready to head home. Of course that meant that it took quite some time to find. All i can say is that you need to ignore the clue and widen the search to be able to claim this one. The other end is find number 3,096 for me. A great regular traditional cache I enjoyed finding as part of my caching fun in Western Victoria. Unless otherwise mentioned above, I found the coordinates to be accurate, the cache in good condition and the log dry and with plenty of room to sign. I am logging this one on Saturday 11 Nov 2023 at 7:14 pm and the weather is Clear Sky 13C 51% 7 m/s . Thanks for placing this cache for the rest of us to enjoy whitejaegar.*Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*
This wasnt on the plan today but driving past and seeing just a great memorial meant that I checked the map and sure enough a cache here! Co ords are 18m out.Today was one of the best caching days Ive ever had - across 25k finds, and 12 years of playing! Ballarat just doesnt disappoint. I could easily spend a couple of extra days here. I had a target list of 50 caches. Knowing I wouldnt make a dent in the stockpile out here, i prioritised the geotour before it ends, virtuals, a couple of 2001 caches, and my favourite - challenge caches, mixed in with a few rare icons that I struggle to find in WA. I could have easily given out 50 favourite points today, but I dont have many spare!Leaving Melbourne just after 6am and finishing ba k in Melbourne just after 7 - it was a solid days work! Thanks to everyone involved in making the geotour a success and the local COs for their great caches and experiences that they shared with me.Will be back next time were in WA for a holiday.
After a few Days in Melbourne and South Coast (Geelong area), wanted to do the geo-tour as the rumour is it wouldn't be around next time I am likely to be in Victoria. Clocked up some big km in doing the geo-tour but it was worth it - after speaking to other cachers, they said it was a must do if in Victoria. Also indulged in getting a few others in the area for other caching challenges. Thanks for caches I found today and the CO's for maintaining them.
Found after looking a bit further. A beautiful sunny day. Thanks for the Traditional Cache whitejaegar
Today we explored Ballarat and surrounds using geocaching as a guide. We enjoyed travelling through the countryside and visiting new, to us, locations. We found a variety of hides with varying degrees of difficulty. Many thanks to all CO's for your cache placement.
Whos idea was it to go caching after dark? Oh yeah, that would be me. After finishing the 2 Avenue AdLabs we just kept driving and stumbled upon this one. Widened the search and cache was quickly located. Signed log and replaced as found. Thanks for placing
I'd had my eyes on completing the Ballarat Geotour for a while now, but with its days remaining on the gameboard being numbered, I knew it was time to seriously consider a trip out west to find them. This revelation coincided rather conveniently with the newfound ability to drive myself away on such a trip, a sale at the already discounted accommodation, a bit of free time, and two events in the region. And so, as if by magic, Brain's Big Ballarat Bash was conjured up, and my night away to finish the Geotour and partake in other general shenanigans commenced! With a quick stop in Bacchus Marsh on the way up, this afternoon was mostly occupied with a few easterly caches on the hit list, before I checked into my accommodation and a long night of driving around the outskirts of town to collect some of the more out-of-the-way offerings commenced!Setting my route from BGT01 to BGT24 in Google Maps, I took a moment to double-check my geocaching map for any quick caches along the path that GMaps had decided to take me.Sure enough, with this one quite literally next to the road on the way, I really couldn't go past it!With no one else around at this time of night, I parked the car and hopped out to survey the structure and see if the cache was stashed away anywhere nearby. There didn't appear to be a great deal of likely spots there, so I checked the past logs which confirmed it was actually hiding some distance away. The coordinates provided by Davidwazza were immensely useful, and ended up taking me back beside my car!The logbook was signed soon after and I took the now-fewer-than-anticipated steps required to return to driving between Geotour caches. Thanks to whitejaegar for placing this cache, though its coordinates do need updating.
This was interesting to see the other end of the avenue. We didn't spot this one on our first look but after widening our search we noticed a likely spot. TFTC
Kids had been pestering about the length of the avenue of honour, so on our way back to town, we took a detour and decided to have a quick hunt. The breeze was quite chilly so we did resort to a scroll of the reviews for some extra clues and we quickly had the cache in hand. Thanks for an educational break to our drive!
Was visible as I pulled up so i covered with a few more rocks. Got 5 days off from work so I decided to come to Ballarat and do the Geo Tour before its gone, also grabbing random caches and Adventures labs along my journey. So thanks to all who have placed caches. Sl cache replaced.
Driving past here, with Kbucky and Bemused Keith on our mission to complete the GeoTour series, Kylie commented that there would probably be a cache here. We stopped and consulted our app, and found that she was correct. The hint did not help, but we did find the cache elsewhere. Thanks whitejaegar
A whole four day trip with Aquilus1 to do the GeoTour in Ballarat some caching around Geelong and anything else that looked good on the way.
Weather was ok albeit a bit on the wet side for the first two days.
This cache was one of the ones we had the oportunity to do.
A nice cache here!
Thank you whitejaegar for the nice cache and experience you gave us!

Found okay once we moved away a bit.
This cache was one found on a trip away with Flintstone's for 4 days. We had the Geotour in Ballarat as our target, and made our way as far as Queenscliff.
Ballarat caching was a joy, and with the tour, we saw many lovely and interesting locations as well as stopping for many other caches as we passed. Lots of little walks helped with the colder first few days as well as being quite scenic.
A change of weather and scenery towards Queenscliff but the coast was a great place to visit with plenty to do and see. As always, more to do than there was time for, will just have to return one day! Thank you for your cache!

A historic location to stop at as we toured the Avenue of Honour in reverse. We had a moment to take in the memorial, and then after reading the nearby signage, we attempted this cache. We managed to find the cache about 16 m south from where the posted coordinates wanted us, with our GPSr indicating the cache at S 37° 25.621' E 143° 40.960'. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks whitejaegar for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

This extended weekend, [jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T), infant Cottontail and I were visiting Ballarat from Brisbane, targeting the [Ballarat GeoTour (GT4A1)](https://coord.info/GT4A1). Highlights included the historical architecture, buildings, and artwork/sculptures of inner Ballarat, Ballarat Botanic Gardens, Lake Wendouree, Sovereign Hill, Eureka Stockade, and mountains Mount Buninyong and Mount Warrenheip. We were lucky to have great weather with no rain and mostly blue skies each day, which aided our enjoyment of our trip. Apart from the targeted GeoTour geocaches, our geocaching has largely been opportunistic following tourist sights and attractions, although we attempted/targeted higher D-T combinations from solved puzzles, and rare cache types like virtual caches, Letterbox Hybrid caches, and Adventure Labs.
Today, the plan was to attack the western geocaches from the [Ballarat GeoTour](https://coord.info/GT4A1) which were some distance away, which involved visits to Miners Rest, Learmonth, and Lake Burrumbeet. We started the day with breakfast in inner-Ballarat, and scoped out the Sturt Street gardens with its sculptures and memorial plaques. During our western drive, it was also an opportunity to visit the Avenue of Honour, as we visited the end and then drove towards the Arch of Victory Memorial in Ballarat.
In the afternoon, we looped around Lake Wendouree and visited the Ballarat Botanical Gardens where infant Cottontail had a play, and we had a nice walk within the vicinity. It was then a final visit to Ballarat central, walking through Bridge Mall and window shopping in the area.

In Ballarat, catching up with Happy pants and Omegaman1971 for a few days. Our main focus will be the Geo tour, but will take the opportunity to grab any other caches along the way.
Plenty of laughs and fun were had and some great hides were found.
This was one of the hides but not help from hint.
Thanks for placing this hide and doing the maintenance, so we can make this find.

Very appropriate Camo. Would say the hint led us in the wrong direction but got there in the end. Tftc
Expanded search to find soaked container. What a beautiful memorial. All worth it.

Unfortunately couldn't find. Agree probably due to a new fence installed. Thanks anyway.
Found it, you may need to look a little bit further. Camp container found and log Fltf
Sadly nothing under the 2 rocks here looks like the installation of a new fence here may have cost the cache TFTH poignant spot
New fence on the right side, and building new one on the left.
Clearly can see from Lee's pic the fence changed so cache has disappeared also.
Given the farmers use the rocks to ram into the post hole to stabilise, so moving rocks in holes next to posts is probably not a good idea...

A lovely memorial here.
Cache was harder to find then noted. Found quickly once previous logs put me on the right track.
Thanks whitejaegar for placing and maintaining for all to enjoy.
Love the container.

there is a empty spor at listed co ords. try looking 12 meters away from the cross roads, it's there. not so quick find.
Left with Mogni the day before Christmas to go down to Mount Gambier for Christmas Day. Then on the 27th left for Victoria. Plan A was to go to the Ottway Rangers, complete the Geo tour in Ballarat and then head to Geelong and take the Queenscliff ferry over to Sorrento then grabbing new LGA's on route to almost the New South Wales/Victoria border and the old 2001 cache near there. Also attending a community day event, a CITO and a couple of other events as well. Then head in to the high country and come back to SA in 11 days. Things didn't go to plan. Turns out that one of my almost new tyres was defective ( side wall blown out ) and blew in the ottway ranges on a narrow road in the rainforest, Drove to Melton to stay overnight and get a new tyre there, tyre machine broken and the other 5 tyre companies not open so off to geelong for a new tyre ( and some caches on the way and in geelong ) . The event we where going to attend in geelong didn't turn out, he was late by ALOT to his own event. Then to ballarat to same day since we had a b&b booked for the next few nights. Planned on getting the ferry at 1200 and ended up on the 400 pm ferry but we did attend a event and CITO in geelong. Then we drive into the rear end of a thunder storm with forecast 20 mm dropping for the next few days. Cancel the high country and change targets to letterbox D/T for fizzy grid only using letterboxes and same wirh the multi fizzy grid plus fizzy grid only using victorian caches plus any challenge caches we where near. Plus getting a few more victorian 2001 caches. And finally any caches that had 40 more more favourite points. Only got soaked to the bone for a couple of days but the water on the tracks was noticeable. On the return home tried to get the rest of the missing LGA's around the Melbourne CBD i missed in the last mega. Still a fun trip was had if not the planned one.

Up this way from Melbourne, to do the Ballarat Geotour.
We'd just done the nearby Geotour mailbox cache BGT24 (https://coord.info/GC95VGB) and I stopped here, to have a look at the historical marker, while the rest of plowfive sat in the car.
I wondered if there was a cache in the area and indeed there was. I searched for quite a while but found nothing so I returned to the car, where middle child pointed out the likely cache location he had spied from the car! The young 'uns make it look so easy!
Loved the themed camo here. Nice touch. On the drive outbound, found a nice old abandoned church which we took some photos of. See log photos.
Thanks for the cache whitejaegar. Appreciate you placing and maintaining it for us to find.

Find #11942
For anyone making Geo plans, do yourself a favour and visit Australia’s only current Geotour at Ballarat while it lasts: https://www.geocaching.com/play/geotours/ballarat-victoria
And for anyone that can travel to Longreach, Queensland, late September 2023, Google “QOGM” which is the Queensland Outback Geocaching Muster. You’ll have at least 8 or 9 days of pure geocaching fun with around 200 like minded people attending a mix of events and access to over 200 geocaches placed by the QOGM team. It’s not a Mega, it’s better.

Out and about in the area and drove past this one on the way into Learmonth. Took a couple of minutes to find the cache...after reading a couple of other logs. Log was signed, cache returned, and it was back in the car and into town.
Thanks whitejaegar.....cache all good.

I’m heading to the far flung Geotour letterbox at Learmonth, and this was on the way. As previously stated, the cache is now at the second to last tree. The outer casing was covered in bugs, which or may not be related to the Chup-a-chup inside. I’ve thrown it out.
Thanks for the hide whitejaegar, and others that have helped keep this cache in play.

Time for a few days away, camping at Green Hill Lake, Ararat.
No cache found at the obvious gz. The new fence had us thinking it may have been removed. However, after reading a few logs we found the cache a few metres away, safely tucked away at the base of a tree.

As we made our way home, we stopped by for what we expected was a quick drive by. This was not to be. What appeared to be new fences in place at GZ meant that the cache could not be located. We eventually noted some previous logs which referred to the cache being located a distance away from GZ. Perhaps try the second tree from the corner. We spotted it as I returned to the car. This cache could do with a CO visit.
Thanks whitejaegar for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to find.

#653- found this cache with the help of the previous comment! Definitely not in the spot it was originally placed, but found it nearby a tree around the corner, still in good condition. Owner will need to come and do maintenance. Put a sharpener and eraser in and took nothing! With Hall of Fame for a Sunday drive to Avoca for lunch! TFTC
There has been substantial earthworks here and I found the cache in the open under a tree. I’ll contact CO for maintenance
Caching day with Crank1 at Ballarat and surrounds. whitejaegar, thank you so much for placing it and highlighting this area. The weather is great today.

Some good friends had decided to head to Ballarat for a few weeks so I decided I needed a break and joined them, we had a great time out caching as well as sharing stories and laughs around a meal or two. I really love the area of Ballarat there is so much history and I am sure it has the largest population of Oak trees in the Country.
This is one of the caches found today.
Some caches logged as RASP rebel acts &Ski pair.
Thanks whitejaegar for the cache.

With work encouraging us to take some holidays and Mr SKI having quite a few weeks up his sleeve it was time to take another short break and do some sightseeing and caching in parts of Victoria we seldom visit.
This time we decided it would be Ballarat. There is a wide variety of cache types and quite a number of Adventure Labs to do, so the area is quite attractive. And that doesn't include the historical and interest aspects as well.
We organized to meet up with some friends while there so we would have the opportunity to do some joint as well as solo caching.
We have already had some great adventures on a few challenging caches that generated a lot of fun and as usual always good to find some pre-solved puzzles.
All logs signed as SKI Pair, RASP (Rebel Acts & SKI Pair or SP depending on size of logs and availability of space.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache whitejaegar.

Last night I got a message from AusFox; asking if I wanted to join him for today in a caching trip to Learmonth in order to climb the peak for the souvenir challenge. With a offer like that how could I say no so it was an early start meeting in Fyansford where we left my car.
We were struggling to find anything at GZ and the hint wasn't any help. When I expanded my search area ignoring the hint I found the cache easily.
Thank you whitejaeger for the hide

Keen to get out and complete the Reach The Peak souvenir for December, so I made a last minute call to SimsFamily to see what was on for the weekend. Caching it was.
We made our way to Learmonth and surrounding areas to find a few cache’s.
The morning started off cool, but soon warmed up as the clouds moved on.
We were a little confused searching for the cache as it was on the LHS, not the RHS.
Log signed and replaced as found.
Thanks for the Traditional cache WhiteJaeger

My favourite hide to date because of the amount of thought and care that went into it. This is what geocaching is about. Thanks so much for the hide
We are out and about enjoying our new found freedom bouncing around the state doing a bit of cache maintenance.
We grabbed the lab in Ballarat that we didn't have and headed up to Learmonth to do the one there stopping along the way for any others that popped up on the screen and generally enjoying getting out of Melbourne for the first time in a long time.
We knew that the Ballarat Remembrance drive was unfortunately very long, we didn't realise how long until today. It is such a waste of young life but at least with the monument here we can pay our respects.
Lest we Forget.
