Time to hunt some monsters.
I started the Monster Lane series back when i began caching and decided to try and complete it.
I stored all the remaining caches (51) and headed out in the early afternoon.
This was find #11 for the day.
Now this was probably the hardest find today. Do i go in or do i stay out? I decided to go in after finding a spot to crawl under the fence. Well my gps told me to. I searched everywhere with no luck. I then read some previous logs and checked out some images.
I then spotted something and there it was. No need to go in really.
Added my name to the log.
All found in good condition.
Signed and returned.
Thanks for placing this series Barb

Travelling around Australia and currently in Queensland.
Now house & dog sitting in Eatons Hill. Today we took our Geo Bikes to tackle the Monster Lane Power Trail. The day started with nice mild weather and 28degrees, but it changed into a very windy ride along the coast, before the end of the day became thunderstorms and rain.
So a bit of a mixed bag weatherwise but a very enjoyable day, with some excellent caches! Love the variety of caches in this series.

Spent a bit more time here finding it. Log wet and gross so put a new piece of paper in a bag with the required signatures. TFTC
I headed out today on a Monster Caching trail with JACS Team - We had a fantastic time and a great walk.
I am so pleased to say that we had a 100% success rate with the caches we looked for - there were a couple of tricky ones, but we got there in the end.
Thank you for the trail, but I understand it is only now half completed! I will be back to do more soon.
This one took a little longer than expected, but was in hand eventually. Unfortunately the log is completely saturated so we had to improvise. Could definitely do with some CO love.

Found at ease. Thanks for the cache, greetings from the Czech Republic.

After just shear determination and scouring the area we found it at what our GPS listed as 818, 800. We didn't find any ood, but did find this guy! He is huge!!
Well this was a hard one. KerriMG and I searched high and low in ever increasing distances from GZ with no luck. Being an uncomfortably hot day I thought we were going to have to call our second DNF when suddenly Kerri came up with the find. Not sure I would have ever found it so lucky I tagged along with her.

Out for the day with Nikid1 so went for a walk to find some more of the Monster Lane series.
Our 4th cache of our walk and we thought it was going to be another DNF. We had been searching for this one for a while & after moving a little further afield I finally found it.
Inside of container & log wet but that paper is great & soon dried out. Tried to dry out the container but must remember to put tissues or something in my caching bag. Replaced the bag the log was in also.

I have been staying on the Gold Coast for a week, and today came to Deagon to visit a mate. Whilst he was at work I borrow his bike and rode the Monster Series. It just so happened that I rode it in reverse order, no problem! A very enjoyable series on a nice flat bike track. Great fun!
No problems here, cache is exactly where expected.
Cheers

I set off yesterday to collect a few caches to bring my total to 700. After a magnificent walk from Boondall park to the water and back I realised the app I was using had stored my finds but not uploaded them. This morning, alas, the app was upgraded and all my finds deleted before uploading.
Tftc! Quick find!

We parked in Barrett Street to do this cache an a few others in the series. This was our last cache for the day but it did take us quite a while to find. We couldn't make sense of the hint and our GPS ended up being about 6m from where we found the cache. TNLNSL TFTC
All together I loved the monster lane. At first I was annoyed of the traffic noise in the beginning but on the bicycle way were less people so perfect conditions to find caches. I looked forward to walk an the ocean and it was so calm. On the other side there were so many people that it was not relaxing to find the caches especially because of the muggles around. The end of the walk was my favorite! Not many people, no cars and only relaxing with nice caches!
I walked around 30.000 steps which means circa 20 kilometers in 7 1/2 hours with 50 caches which I found. For the number of caches, the monster lane is really well maintained, only some caches are not in a good condition.
Thank you so much for the lovely day, the exercise and I also achieved with this round my 500th milestone!

Hi there barbbowman. We found your cache "Monster Lane 15...the Ood" at 10:49:00 AM today. This cache makes our find count 11610.
[Blue]
Today was the day for a bike ride. We have been planning this for a while, but other things tended to crop up. Our plan was to attempt every other cache to the end, and then turn around and attempt the rest on our return trip. The cycle path was very busy today with quite a lot of track clearing works going on - so this may account for all our DNF's. (If the cache was within 2 metres of the edge of the path it has probably been mowed or whipper snippered into cache heaven.
We cycled 18.8km, today which was a bit of a stretch for Penny, and ended up logging 29 caches and DNF'd 5.
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: The container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Mrs NZTravellers had been working in Brisbane and we decided to make a long weekend break out of the opportunity.
We selected our accommodation to enable us too specifically do this Dr Who series as we are avid fans. Miss NZTravellers was gutted at not being able to join us and wanted an INSTANT update when we did here favourite monster the Weeping Angels!!!!!
We hired a couple of bikes from the Shorncliffe township and headed out.
We really enjoyed the whole series with good sized caches and well maintained as we actually were the first to sign several newly replaced logs. All coordinates were spot on and any issues were always sorted with good hints.
A well maintained and fun series of caches a huge thanks to Barbbowman for setting this series up and maintaining it.

Smilie #2465
Headed over the bridge into 'Northside' country to steal a few smilies.
A short stroll along the bike path had me at GZ.
Made a quick find just before some muggle schoolgirls rode past.
That was close! LOL ...
The log is damp but still signable.
The baggie is torn.
Sorry, nothing with me to remedy the above.
Signed & replaced as found.

Hmm.... it seems the Ood have not been educated on how to open a clip seal bag???
What does one do when not rostered on to slave away until late in the evening?? One caches!! Probably would have been beneficial/wise of one such cacher to actually look at the weather forecast prior to leaving on the adventure... oh well?? why break habit/tradition???
Began the infamous Monster Lane today... but didn't get too far due to lack of motivation.. Thanks for the outing Barbbowman.. And a special thanks for introducing me to the Dr Who Villains/Monsters

Gotcha !!! Put Mrs Temingi on the plane to visit her sister in Melbourne as a thankyou for coming to the Mega. Now I've got a few days to run around caching and to visit my sister in Cooroy. So... a few more of the Monster Lane series were done on foot today . TFTC
Out for a day of bike riding to collect some more monsters. On to the second part of my ride today, still leapfrogging caches to make the ride easier.
No idea what the hint meant for this one but I found the cache anyway.

A nice set of caches on the trail, and quick find on a quiet Sunday.
Wish I had a bike with me. My feet wouldn't hurt half as much, and I could have covered a heap more ground!
Found on a trip to OZ for the Stanthorpe MEGA. It is all about the numbers this trip, Ms KR decided to stay in NZ!
Thanks for the hide.

Like the CO said, the container is exactly as it should be. Maybe the previous finder was having a case of cache short sightedness (or long sightedness), seeing logs of caches times past or yet to be
Maybe the Ood are singing to them.
Thanks

what an amazing ride along the lane this morning
this is the first time i have had the pleasure of company
it was so exciting to not only be able to share the ride with IolantheK but to be able to show why all my little monsters live in the spots they do
congrats to IolantheK ... she joins a very select group who have ridden the whole at once [^]
the Ood are exactly where they belong
correct container is there
co-ords are good
i do not know what the previous finder found as the next monster is over 340m away and is in place

My three month Brisbane adventure has started. Day 27, Redcliffe.
I didn't do much with geocaches yesterday as my sister and herb family visited. Today, it's cloudy, and feels cooler at present. As it happens, it was hot and humid, but I didn't know this when I decided on a bike ride, to collect more Monsters. I reckon I ended up with a 6 km bike ride, with lots of pauses for caches and drinks of water. The GeoSchnauzers stayed home today.
No 2 of 10 today. Thanks, barbbowman. The bike ride has started. yes, it's hot and humid, as I'm now finding. Luckily, there's not much sunlight. This cache was easily uncovered, in perfect privacy, except of course for the billion cars on the adjacent highway.

It is very warm and there were no muggles but a lot of “muggen”, Dutch for midges.

------A little bit more about the weekend------
I enjoyed a really great weekend of caching with Dawesy321.
A huge thanks for barbbowman for a fantastic series and maintaining the caches.
The highlights of the weekend were:
1. Running into rbcs and caching with them for a while.
2. Having a rainbow lorikeet fly out of a tree directly in front of me.
4. Chatting with the cache owner a few times.
5. Assisting the CO with a little cache maintenance along the way.
6. The strange conversations I overheard while waiting for muggles to leave GZ.
I could not recommend this series enough, it is definitely a stretch and well worth the effort!
