What a gorgeous place to find a cache. Ignored my GPS and made a quick find. Put the cache back asap to avoid being jumped on by blood hungry leeches Tftc

I needed a mini walk for today, so upon my drive home, I stopped at this lovely reserve. At GZ, l thought like a GC, and cache was found in a very logical spot.

Had a couple of hours to spare and had been saving these caches for just a day like today. What a gorgeous spot! Yes coords are out but description says it all. crigisthis, thanks for placing this cache and bringing me here for a brief, but enjoyable stroll.
Ps next person may want to carry in a new ziplock bag

After finding the fern we continued on to this cache. The geopup lived the track. Our GZ was bouncing around 7-12m away into the bush, but there was really only one place for the cache, just had to pick the right end( which we didn't at first)
Hav a fav for the lovely stroll

TFTC and greetings from Tassie

We started from above and were a little concerned by how much we were going down.
But all that faded when we arrived at GZ. We couldn't help but admire the beautiful bushland that we were in.
The cache was in a dark little area that took two looks to find.
Thanks crigithis for showing us this lovely area.
Chiefton!!!

Great little spot and a good sized cache so we were able to leave a few TB’s! Driving around today grabbing a few random caches with the geokids on a rainy school holiday. Thanks for bringing us here and TFTC

Took the short walk down to this one and had the cache in hand in no time
All in good condition
Unfortunately I was stretched for time so wasn't able to explore the remaining tracks
Whence next I return.........!
Many thanx to crigithis for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment

On a wet and dreary morning, I headed over to day1976's place and we headed down towards Nyora/Loch.
The weather had cleared up by now, but the undergrowth was still very wet and so were our legs after getting to the bottom. Not a bad little reserve, much muddier than expected, with heaps of little flies.

23-Nov-20
Ilukaperi and I headed towards Nyora/Loch area for our day caching today. A nice drive, some spits of rain, but nothing to bad. First day being outside without masks on was a treat too.

Really enjoyed the walk down to this one. The walk back up to the car, not so much.

It was great to be back out hunting caches in the sun with my caching buddy Rebel Acts.
I'm happy he knows this area because I was absolutely lost.
The most important tool we had this weekend was the large bottle of hand sanitiser which was used before and after every find.
Had such a great time catching up with Rebel and getting back into the swing of caching.
Such a lovely part of the state.
Cheers for the cache.

With the restrictions eased and after being stuck at home since march I decided to arm Myself with plenty of gloves and a litre of hand sanitizer and head out in to the country side to do some caching, I was joined by my caching mate Omegaman 1971 we did a big loop from Warragul through PooWong around to Nyora and then back over the Korumburra Road to Warragul, some magic country side and views in this area to enjoy on what was a nice sunny day. Nice area to walk in, no trouble finding the cache.

Thanks crig for the cache.

Sunshine on my window makes me Happy, like I should be!
Awesome sunshine and International Geocaching Day, perfect reason to take Geo pup for a walk on her first Geocaching adventure.
She went well, we found two, the sunshine was a mood enhancer and the location and welcome delight.

We had a DNF here about 2 years ago and has been on our watch list since then. Today even in drizzle rain we were more determined and more experienced. GPS was bouncing us around so decided to put that away away and use our geosenses. After about 5 mins of doing that the cache was discovered in a place that we never searched previously. Log signed and placed back safe again.
Thanks for your efforts crigithis

After Mrs Papi attended a nearby CITO, she was part of a small group that went for the walk to collect this cache. Thanks for placing it.

Thanks crigithis for the cache.

03-Mar-19
After coming up to Nyora for the CITO and doing our bit to pick up other people’s rubbish, beckmonts, papi4507, Crank1 and I joined together and spent the afternoon finding caches in the area.
An enjoyable walk through here and we came across the bridge each of us picked and area and of course I looked in the wrong place.
Walked from one end to the other and it was nice to have a vehicle waiting for us at the other end
Thanks crigthis TFTC.

Out with Crank1, Papi4507 and Posums for the afternoon, we grabbed this cache on a walk through the reserve, after a multi I had found previously. Thanks so much for placing this cache crigithis

This cache was a little bit of searching to locate but eventually had in hand and signing the log. Lovely spot and certainly wish I had more time to explore the area.

Thanks crig for the cache.

Oh, boy have these logs been on the back burner……… with the combination of a long hiatus and my phone with all my saved cache data of the ones I had yet to log being supposedly lost. With my eng/comp sci friend who managed to mess around with the phone and recover the data….. hooray time to celebrate. So that's why these logs are so late…. either thanks for the cache and the adventure….. and sorry for the generic log.

We found this cache today at 12:55pm as number 3 of 8 on our Nyora to Gilwell Tour in company of Pprass. We travelled in convoy to the next entrance point and were surprised by the steepish walk into the gully. The four of us at the cache took a fair while to locate the cache as all of our GPSrs were pointing about 8m to 10m down the creek. Eventually spotted the cache in a place as previously checked by Pprass. Ah, just like old times. Thanks from D & HA B-A.

31-Dec-18
Found at 1:12 PM GAFF5 in the company of Rabbitto and GeoGe.
It didn't take long to get to this cache, but we could see that we were going to be in a bit of trouble coming back [xx(]
Once we got to GZ - which btw we couldn't get the GPSr down below 8 metres distance - we went all over the place searching and even knowing that we didn't need to leave the track (but in fact you kind of do). We went up and down in and out and eventually Dean looks in a spot that I had already searched in and - voila a cache!
Thanks crig

A nice easy find especially as we couldn't find the nearby multi earlier. TFTC

We probably should have read the cache page a lot more carefully as after 15 minutes looking in bush we came up empty. A lady on her large horse did pass while we were looking.
After reading the page more, we went back to the trail, put the GPS away and starting looking in places were we would hide a cache. It was soon found in good condition.
Thanks for the cache crigithis

Sadly a DNF for us today. Had a pretty good search but could not locate the cache. Will put a watch on this.

What a delightful spot! I have been here before birdwatching and the Yellow Robin just hopped around the cache leading me to it(almost). A bit cool today, but the days are getting longer! TFTC

A pleasant drive in the country, well almost, as we slotted in to the Public Holiday traffic. We were close to this cache looking at buying something and decided to grab this cache while just up the road.

A downhill only means one thing, an uphill exit, but the cache was found and we're happy with that. Thanks crig for this cache placement.

While I was heading south in the (vain) hope of getting a couple of caches that would help with getting another round of the D/T grid I stopped to take a short walk and find the caches here. Quite different to what I had expected to find from mapping. It was getting late, and I had the info for the first cache (Multi), but didn't see it (until later), so came on to get this one.
Hunted around here, and found it @ 1640 - from memory about 4m from GZ. Dry and intact.
Left: a Correct Site Marker - surgical marking pen.
Will add a bookmark for the Challenging Cache elective #4, and this will be #360, of the x 400 required.

Like many others looking for this cache, I found the gps wandering all over the place. Again, like many, spent quite a while looking around, and then found it when ready to give up in a fairly obvious location I had cursorily checked earlier!

I headed into Gippsland with Stemicmitsar to tackle a particular night cache that we'd been wanting to do for several weeks and also pickup whatever else we could whilst there.
Not for the first time our GPS's couldn't' agree on where GZ was located, so it was a case of using 'cacher sense' to located the cache which Steve did. Log signed, we headed for the third cache in this park.

Thank-you to crig for placing this geocache

1/05/2015 Found @ 5:49 pm, Find # 4343.

While out and about searching for caches with Biggles1024 and this one was found.
Tonight we headed towards Korumburra to pick up a few multi's and whatever else was in our path.
We went for the three in this reserve, this was the second one.
We arrived at the area of GZ, our GPSr's were not agreeing as to where GZ was but they did agree that it was 6 metres or so into the bush. After a little bit of a wander into where I didn't need to go, on the way back to the track I looked in a logical spot and the cache was found.
On the way back to the car we discovered that we had picked up a few leeches from this area.

Thanks to crig for placing this cache.

You know how, when you are in a bush setting and GPS coverage is not great, when you get to GZ you quickly look in all the likely spots first. Then you start to widen your search in all directions hoping you can uncover the cache. Finally after 1/2 hour or so looking, you decide to make it a DNF but before you do you have just one more look in the obvious spots again in case you overlooked it. So I had a second look and there, in the most obvious spot, is the cache just a little further in than expected!!!
Well this was me today!! A relatively easy cache if I had have looked properly in the first place!! TFTC

Nice evening for cache hunting. Tftc

On a tough day, I decided early I was going to attempt these three caches over lunch. So after stopping quickly at Lang Lang to grab a pie and a pastie I mate my way to this reserve.

Parking the GeoRanger near the park entrance, I walked down the dirt track, realising that its going to be a bugger going back up!!! Once at GZ I quickly located the cache, stamped our name and headed back up!

The 16th of October is my Dad's birthday, who passed away 10 days ago suddenly. These three caches enabled me to walk in solitude, enjoy the serenity and remember all the good times I had with him.

Thanks for the cache crig!!!

11-Oct-13
Don't think we went the shortest way but we eventually arrived at a bridge which we thought was a likely looking GZ. Because of the canopy our GPS wasn't too much help in getting us close but the hint about not leaving the track did the trick and the cache was soon to hand. That makes 999 and us needing just one more to make the magic 1000. We're just hoping the Reserve multi has still not been found. TFTC.

15-Sep-13
A fantastic day to be out caching. The weather was perfect and sunny and quite warm all day. I headed out with my two boys down the South Gippsland Highway and we got as far as Stony Creek before heading back for home later in the afternoon. Our first cache was found just out of Jeetho and we stopped for a picnic lunch at Koonwarra before making our way to Stony Creek then heading back up the South Gippy with a small detour through Lang Lang. It was dark by the time we got home and myself and the boys had a great time.
That's one steep track heading down to GZ and I had to insist the boys don't run down it as having a screaming 4 and 8 yo with grazed hands and knees is not what I wanted. We really enjoyed the trek to GZ and once we arrived we soon had the cache in hand. We decided to continue on to the next nearest cache from here. A great bush land location.
Thanks for the hide.

Find # 2898

Well, its the weekend again and my caching partner in crime SedgwickDave and I decided our regular caching day would be on a Sunday and we were to head out towards Korumburra for lunch, picking up some select caches on the way. Despite winter being with us, it was not too cold and we even saw the sun in patches during the day.

After finding Wuchatsch Reserve Fern Gully, we continued along the track to this one. Once at GZ and after reading the cache page description, we were a little confused as our GPSr's were pointing us into the bush and the cache should be reachable from on the track. We realised soon after where the cache was going to be... The first place I had looked, I need to check these spots more thoroughly!! anyway, well hidden cache was found. A great little walking track.

Thanks to crigithis for the cache. TNLN

02-Jun-13
Walking from the Fern Gully cache, we had a little waterfall coming down the track but no problem with the hiking boots on. The second of two caches was a well hidden find. Thanks for bringing us here.

Caching about today along the country roads on the way to Korumburra trying out my new toy the Nexus7 with Ahomburg. Do enjoy these bigger drives as it fun to see where the cachers lead you. The weather turn out to be rather nice and a good mix of different cache types found. The 3 type rule achieved once moreWink. A good result today with 20 finds and 2 DNFs, I still see plenty more to grab which will be for another trip soon.

Second cache found in this nice reverse having found the other near by. Took a few moments to locate the cache, I missed initially while on a 2nd look Ahomburg had the cache in hand. GZ was off today at times by 7m. The details in the description was helpful in narrowing the grid. TFTC crigithis

This was the first of two caches we found in this secluded reserve. We had a quiet walk in no muggles anywhere and lots of wildlife darting around in the surrounding bush. TFTC. SL.

TFTC A nice find. Nice to see Mr Golding being recognised he should have every community award you can get on his wall. Hes is a quiet achiever a fantastic mentor, he is the brains trust behind the Nyora skate park.

On a bit of a jaunt in this direction and decided to take the dogs for a walk - lovely track, only a bit muddy and no leeches this time of year! Can't believe this hasn't been found in >6 months! Also can't believe the DNFs...easy find, in fact our 5yo grabbed it! Swapped a flashing red nose (cos apparently we REALLY needed that) for a bouncy ball and scored TTF! TFTC

29-Aug-12
GPS was unstable due to trees Area very wet so search was limited.

11-Jul-12
Went to inspect. I had feared that all the recent rain may have caused a flooded creek & dislogded the cache, but it was still there. All dry inside. The path from the waypoint to GZ is still nice & dry, but geogumboots came in handy when walking further along the track today.

loved the walk it has had a flood thought here recently i could not find it will be back TFTC

On my way to the island and noticed this hadn't been log yet so I thought that it could still be unfound but I should of known that there was going to be a red stamp for the ftf, so it was second to find for me. Sl thanks Crigithis for the cache.

*FTF* Of for a unplanned trip towards Briansdale I quickly checked the FTF map to see what I could drive past. This one was to be my victim. We parked at teh recommended parking spots (thanks for the waypoint) and enjoyed a nice walk with the dogs down to GZ. My GPS had me all over the place and it could not make it's mind up on where GZ was so I just kept on searching. Finlay found the cache and a dozen leeches in the process. Walked all the way back to the car to realize I had left the travel bug on the seat so walked all the way back. All the excitement of cleaning the leeches off threw me. TFTC
