Was passing by on way home from a day spent in Bendigo not a gd idea to this one just after a storm had pass threw the rd was like a flowing river had to wade threw it to get to the cache
Travel day today from St Arnaud to Melbourne. No real plans but a stop here and there as we felt like it.Another stop for the day and well worth the stop. A rougher road in but a better on the way out.TFTC#9682
Our first line was thwarted, but the next brought us much nearer. A very short stroll soon had us at the cache.Thank you.
In Bendigo for the weekend for a freinds 50th birthday so it gave us a chance to get and about exploring the local area to knock of some caches.
Nice easy find Tftc

Spending the weekend camping at Lake Eppalock Caravan Park with family, uncle & aunts, cousins, brothers, etc. A great weekend that needed to be interupted for a short period this morning to grab a couple of trads to satisfy a challenge requirement. Yep, of course I did
A quick find after a short search on each side of the track.
**Thanks for placing this cache whit's wanderers**

I had been thinking about a trip to Bendigo for over a month so that I could find My centroid cache and with an event in town this weekend plans were made to do a few days caching with My good mate Omegaman1971.There are always plenty of laughs while we are turning caches into smiles.
This is one of the caches found today.
Thanks whit's wanderers for the cache

Back in Bendigo with Rebel Acts for a few days of caching fun, It's great to see so many new caches around town.
The weather wasn't the kindest ,sun was absolutely baking but still had a great day of caching.
Cheers for the cache.

Heading home, the loooong way, after an afternoon finding the island caches. Looks like they had some big flooding through here - lots of track restoration recently. The log is only slightly damp but seeing the track, I expected it to have been washed away! Many thanks ?? ?????????????? ????
TFTC Had to leave the car and walk about 600m as track was a bit wet! But was a very pleasant walk with some noisy cockatoos keeping us company along the way
Just manage to get this one in before midnight on our way to Bacchus Marsh for a Geo event
Hahaha yep …. def need a 4WD in winter … we got a few hundred metres down the road before a flooded road caused us to have to turn back … next time in warmer weather
This find was aLUREing (you'll get it when you find the swap). Good find, took us longer than it should have, but after gps sorted itself out it dropped us on correct location.
Nice day to drive out to Lake Eppalock. I did a lazy lap and grabbed a few caches along the way.

Went to sunset was way too busy people everywhere so came over here to find this one, much more peaceful what a great spot thank you
Tftc. We always say that geocaching takes you places you would otherwise never know about - this was that! Great area.
Accurate coordinates brought us to a spot along a lovely rough track to the west of Lake Eppalock with a few puddles after last night’s rain to make the drive more exciting. After reaching the idyllic spot it was a short hunt leading to a quick find.
It was interesting that we were here with previous finders. Whilst we were led in ever increasing circles, one person went one way and another the opposite way. Fortunately, one of them found it for us as we never came close for some reason. Thanks for the cache.
After taking the long way to GZ we found the cache quickly.

A days drive down to Lake Eppalock to find a few caches in the area. Went in the van and took Geodog Penny with us. The day turned out to be a rather warmish one and we enjoyed all the caches we found. By the end of it we had done heaps of walking which we don't mind doing at all. Would love to see Lake Eppalock full of water but glad there was not much today as we were able to get six caches we could walk to.
After leaving the above area we stopped off to grab a few more in the area while we were down this way.
After having a cuppa and eats at the picnic area nearby and also locating a cache there, we drove down to find this one. A quick find close to the roads edge. Log signed and off we went to locate some more before heading for home.

Cache found to be all in good order. Nice and easy find. Found lots of sheep interested in what I was doing. Thanks for the cache.
Bit of a wet day to be caching, spose it adds to the excitement. This was an easy find, with our 4WD. Wouldn't recommend a 2WD to do this track. TFTC
lochb was in Bendigo for the weekend and keen to do some caching so I headed up to join her as I haven't been to Bendigo in decades. Err and still haven't... We ended up concentrating our efforts around Lake Eppalock and Axedale and this was my first for the day as lochb was keen to play with her new wheels and made the find too. TFTC
Suscoe was heading homewards today from Bendigo via some caches we wanted to visit between the Calder and the McIvor / Northern Highways as well as a stop in Melbourne to sort out a virtual that we had been interested in.
So it was an early start to proceedings and thankfully a mild morning to head off in.
We saw some wonderful countryside around the east of Bendigo, the Lake Eppalock region, Redesdale, The Mount Macedon area and down the way to Sunbury and finally the laneways and arcades of the Big Smoke.
Thanks to whit's wanderers for this hide, we worked out which track and soon arrived at GZ.
All good out here today and sooooo quiet.

Took a bit to work out how to get here. Once there the cache was found without further trouble.

You could possibly land a plane here if needed I’m sure. Quick easy find. Cache was being looked after by a lizard
Despite the overcast weather this was a great day to go out paddling with Jacko and OzHockeyChick.
We started at 10am and covered 8km criss-crossing Lake Eppalock. By lunchtime we were off the water and caching in the surrounding areas well into the afternoon .
Luckily we had the 4WD to make quick work of this one. Control tower gave us permissio to land, so in we went. A landing strip usually ends with a smilie - and that was indeed the case here !
Thanks whit's wanderers.

Out and about today with Pacman and Ozhockeychick.
A quick drive by - maybe not in a low 2WD!
Cool spot out here - with 100 sheep watching us and us wandering where the hell the airport is?
Thanks for placing for our enjoyment.

Short trip. Weather was prefect. Road dry, few trees over road. Proceed to GZ. Yeah cache in Hand . TFTC. Drop TB
Day two away with my kayak, and heading back to Lake Eppalock to attempt the other four caches, plus a few random caches on the way there and back. A nice quiet drive to a peaceful spot where the cache was found quickly.
My thanks to whit's wanderers for the cache.

You could land a float plane on the lake
That nearby, long thin, paddock looks like it might once have been a landing strip
Whatever !!

Found by Mary & David at 1025. Well how are you all? Good to get of the bitumen as we make our way to Echuca for today's Event. Hints of wattle everywhere, and encompassing many shade from cream through lemon to yelow. The trees were extra attractive, as recent rain had highlighted the bark so it resembles an animal pelt. Because of the rain, we were very cautious about tackling the road, but the surface was reasonably firm, and the GeoCalais easily took us within about 150m of GZ before we faced a lot of soft mud and pudles. Caution to the fore, we stopped there and walked on to GZ for a quick find. Our thanks to whit's wanderers.
Pleasant drive down this track to find this easy park and grab cache. I can't see the control tower anywhere at the airport but I do see a flock of sheep keeping the runway usable. TFTC
**It was hard to find the way in to get to this cache, but we did in the end in a normal car. You head for the nice little picnic area on the Brolga Track just off the Kimbolton Track which goes beside Lyell Road. Hope this helps for future geocachers. Nice spot in the end. Cache found in good condition. SL TFTC. Left a calling card and some swaps and took a toy. Landing Strip, yeah, very funny. Cheers. **
We first tried approaching from the north and came across a massive puddle and having a new car that we care about decided not to risk it and then noticed the big tree down across the track once you get through the puddle. So we drove around and approached it from the south and got much closer, but still a really big puddle which we could have probably driven, but safer to walk it when you're on your own with no help to get you out if you get stuck. Easy find in the end.
We were heading here and I seen a likely place for a cache. My navigator thought the cache was further up the track. Hmpf!! Needless to say I might have to advertise for a new one!! Lol!! Tftc
