On a 2 week holiday, we are having a great time and the weather has been very kind treating us to sunny days and loving the trees in their autumn tones,we needed a break from driving so stopped here to pick up some caches and enjoy the Happy Trails Walk, nice hide.TFTC
A quick find whilst enjoying this nice short walk this afternoon.TFTC!Cheers,The Hancock Clan
TFTC. Staying at Gowrie Park for a few days and enjoyed the walk collecting these caches
[9025] Holidays on Tasmania, day 10. Today we moved on from Cradle Mountain to Launceston. We took a short walk at O'Neill River, found some more geocaches beside the road and looked at many interesting murals in Sheffield. In Launceston we enjoyed a fine wedding anniversary dinner in the evening as highlight of another sunny day in Australia. This quick geocache belonged to our trip today. TFTC!
Beautiful day out for a circuit of caching starting in Sheffield with coffees to get the hearts started, and a quick GA at "the Hub", then onwards to amongst others, this first one on a lovely bush trail. A nice convenient find not requiring stomping through the understorey. Well done robtas (RIP) and the good peple keeping a watch on this one.
In Tassie for the next few months. So many great places to visit and so many different caches to find.Staying nearby, so grabbing a few around this area. A lovely little walk in the bushland along the stream. A good hint, lead to an easy enough find. Thanks robtas for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
We enjoyed this little series on New Years Day. Cute little trail although seems like a huge storm has changed the landscape a bit. Quick find here TFTC
Can today to complete this short walk once I found the cache it was full of water then realising it’s robtas’s cache I headed back to the car to get a new logbook and some extra ones for caches further up trail if needed
The log was very soggy, but still serviceable (just), might be worth replacing the container with something a bit more water tight.
Camping overnight at O'Neills Creek on our way to Cradle Mountain tomorrow. Spent the afternoon sitting in the creek as it was stinking hot. Did this lovely little series st dusk.
While visiting Sheffield for a few days we decided to go out exploring the local area.
This series along the little trail was very enjoyable.
We didn't see that many animals but the scenery along the creek was nice.

Out and about with Tassie Trekkers collecting new caches that have appeared since our last visit to this area. A great day to be out and about. Happy Easter. TFTC

Hi, and thanks for the cache, found with AlbyDangles on a caching weekend based at Gowrie Park, after transporting some Venturer Scouts to their statewide 'Venture' at Arm River Camp last night.

Was in the area and checked on cache while I introduced a new person to caching. Cache was a little wet so dried it out and put it back
It’s getting dark and it was difficult to locate. Once found I knew with light it would be easy. It do the others tomorrow with a bit of luck.
Cache is in good shape. TFTC

A nice walk to locate a cache or three. This one was soon in hand and the log signed.
Thanks for bringing us here to this pretty spot.
Hoping to see a platypus!
We're from WA.

Was in the area so thought I would check on these caches as ROBTAS family has asked if anyone can look after his caches while his unwell. Cleaned the container and replaced log
I love that geocaching brings you to places you otherwise wouldn’t know about. As a girl guide I’m sure we camped at Gowrie Park but I have never done this walk before. Thanks for bringing us here.
It was a nice walk in the evening and we found four caches. Thank you for showing.
TFTC. Found on our TASMANIA ALL OVER journey. Join us on Facebook page of that name.
Log book drenched
A nice walk along this trail to collect the few caches, all 3 were easily found although the first was drenched and will need fixing up.
Today I decided to head out into the country side, around the back of Sheffield and Devonport. With such a great day with the weather it was nice to collect a few caches.

I looked for this in almost dark conditions about five years ago, without luck. Today I returned and made a quick find. TFTC
Beautiful track thanks for taking us here! Great find, tyftc! Loved walking across the log bridge!
Touring Tasmania with non-caching friends from our caravan club we haven't had many opportunites for hunting. Today we settled in at the Wilderness Village at lunchtime. While Mr was looking at the map and delightedly downloading caches, Mrs was at the office finding a local walk we could all do, which, of course, took priority. How pleased was Mr when he realised that this trail was actually the walk, albeit the wrong way numerically! Fortunately everyone seemed interested so we showed the rudiiments, including the Hint, and one of the others had the cache in hand at 4.15 pm. It took a while as the coords were misbeaving under the trees! Thank you robtas for the hide and particularly for enhancing our enjoyment of this walk.. TNLNSL.
We're visiting from Arizona USA, ending Week 3 of our top-o'-the-bucket-list tour of eastern and central Australia (WA will have to wait until another day). After a spectacular day at Cradle Mountain yesterday, today we are heading to Launceston, cherry-picking caches as we go.
We had more trouble finding the trailhead than we did finding the cache. A fun little walk, wish we had time to try all 3 caches. We especially liked the "bridge". Contents and log are damp, but managed to scratch a "TTB" in there somewhere. Thanks for the cache.

Well hidden off the track. It’s wet and pencil is now broken. Need to start carrying my own pencil
Today was a miserable day and well suited to a roadtrip, sightseeing and picking up some caches. We started on the wrong side of the Creek looking for the track, before realising. It made for a slippery creek crossing. Naturally we found the track sign on the return walk. Thanks for this enjoyable walking series.
I wasn't too serious today
So it was time for some happy trails instead
This is a great little trail that I didn't know was here
The start of happy trails is a much, much, much safer and shadier place to abandon a geomobile,
than the car park at the other end of the Happy Trail
Yes !! There are scumbags down here in Tassie that break into cars at the carpark at the start of the Mt Roland trail
This cache along the trail was a nice easy find.
But the entire trail could do with some happy-ing up as many of the caches are olde and worn,
or wet !!

It took us a little while to locate the start of this track as you would need telephoto vision to spot the sign from the carpark. Once on it we discovered it may only be getting used by keen cachers as there was some overgrowth of the undergrowth & a bit of spider web collection by the one in the lead. Regrettably there were no pamphlets at the start & the container was now being used as a butt bin so we had to do our own number interpretation. Still a lovely little walk though. Logs in #1 & particularly #2 are getting rather soggy again. Perhaps a more waterproof container may help as #3 was fine. TFTC robtas.
Quick find. Pretty walk. Found on a rainy morning after staying at the nearby park. Tftc!
