Another one muggled. Disabled until I can replace. That's the fourth one I have had to disable. Muggles are alive and well around Norseman.
Went around all the trees in the vicinity with no luck plenty of activity with empty bottles and cans every where. The walk up the side of the hill was good exercise with good views
There wasn't any Cheery's for us today. After a walk from where the road is being constructed, up the hill and to gz it was disappointing that the ammo can was nowhere to be seen. Lots of obvious signs of where it had been. So for us a DNF.
Found the obvious pile of sticks and stones at the base of a tree but no cache. May have gone awl.
Such an amazing place to visit. Driving between islands. Climbing hills. Has it all! Cheers!
Geohubby climbed up for this one, don't think the knees would have coped. Easy enough to drive van in and turn around at the bottom of the hill. TFTC. SL.

Oh what a climb. Didn't read last log but think I've gone same way. Bit worried on how to get down till I saw the top. Just signed as I have muggle hubby down the bottom. But what a view. Will go back when we have more time. Ebenie
Great geo! What a climb, there is probably an easier way up than the one we took. Heading to Perth, on the last leg of our trip from QLD. We took the tb and will continue on its way. TFTC

TFTC. Spectacular views across the lake. Climbed in using a 4 wheel drive track. Left the car at the bottom.
We had a rest day on our safari across theNullabor to Esperance. What better than to find a cache .
Left Zappy to continue a journey .

Tftc. Sl. After reading the last log, we thought we would have a problem here. So we took a drive out via Ramsay street across causeway and stopped at the island , no signs evident, so took a walk up the hill and made a find. Retrieved the bus TB no others in cache.
Tftc. What a beautiful location. Left the tb for someone else as we're now on our way home. Safe travels xoxo.
On a trip from Sydney to Perth, trying to get there by Christmas and stayed the night at Norseman. Woke up and decided to find the closest cache and this was it as I had cleared out Norseman on a previous trip. Parked at the back of the hill and followed the rocky path with the geodogs to the cache. SL #1724 on streak day #902 TFTC and for bringing me here I give you a fav point left TB
Thanks to this cache we took the scenic route into Norseman. Found the cache and enjoyed the great views over the lake and surrounding area. Thanks Dr Phunk.
Always enjoy the view from here but was great to also search for cache. Thanks for cache

Another stop at Norseman before heading west tomorrow.
Hardly any muggles around and mostly good quick finds.
A top lookout of the dry area around.
Thanks for the cache Dr Phunk,

aproached from the east side unaware that we could drive or walk up a more gentle slope from the west tftc tnln
Thanks Dr Phunk for the cache. On our way back home just one last cache then off to Kal for our next shifts. Took the road out to this one only to be stopped but a wide load. Soon up the hill to the cache to enjoy the view. The cache was found quickly and in good condition. These waterproof logs books are really something. Dropped off a trackable to continue its journey around Australia from Perth.
[:(!] Today we left Northam and we were on our way to Adelaide to visit our geoson and family, on the way we picked up a few caches and this was one of them, parked the geoGrand Vitara as close as possible to GZ and then we climb the steep embankment, once at the top we walked in from there, on arrival at GZ the cache was in hand in a matter of minutes and then we repeated the feat back to the geocar.

Waving Farewell to the Rock (yeah, bad pun) we set off in lovely weather to drive The Granite and Woodlands Discovery Trail, see the great countryside and find the six caches. Such a better name than Hyden Norseman Road and a terrific leaflet, anyone following should get hold of one at the Information places. We were grateful to sylken who helped us out when we were floundering, trying to get started. In the event, we had an exciting and almost wholly successful trip with five finds.
The lovely weather, however, didn't last. We were wakened in our 'van at 6.00 am the first morning by rain but it stopped and we were down the track and the rain wouldn't last, so we set off. It stopped and started again all morning so we camped for two nights at McDermid Rock, a very acceptable site.
Unfortunately, arriving in Norseman via the main road, we turned onto the road back out to Lake Cowan only to find it was closed except for 4WDs. So we couldn't go for the sixth cache. Maybe another year.

At 10.35h(WST), I didn't like the look of the mudflats after the rain, so no hill climbing for the Falcon ute. Had a pleasant walk instead. TNLNSL TFTC - Unka Dave
On our last leg of our relocation journey from Mount Gambier, SA to becoming WA residents full time now!
Wow what a great view. Kate has been to something similar to this view & road up north WA when travelling in a camper van with a friend from overseas a few years ago.
GeoDad found this one while the rest of us stayed at ground level taking the cats for a walk!!
Thanks for the lovely cache & photo opportunities.

A more unusual sort of drive out to the "island" soon had the cache in hand. Found the Subaru could get up one of the more gentle slopes so we didn't have to walk very far.
Thanks Dr Phunk for a nice drive and climb about on the island.

Found @ 1808!
Love this road and driving across the lake, the evaporite crystals glistening with the setting of the sun...
Nice island too, with great views, especially at sunset!

Comfortable find. Took the long way around the back up. Shame that people have to drive on everything. Left a golf ball that was on the ground their. Sort of a clean up of the area. Thanks for bringing me here. Tftc
Yeah, we parked at the cliff face and climbed up! Half way up I said to Mr Geo "I bet there is a road when we get up the top" there sure was. Mental note to self - I am not a mountain goat so don't act like one! TFTC TNLN
Geodoggie is excited for her first first to find! Nice little trek uphill, great view. Beware the giant flies! TNLN
