Over for the new Hokitika OneNZ cellsite drive. All fine with the drive, other than slow 5G throughput.. So I might be back, but in any case, I picked up a few trads before coming home.

Found on the ground, put back in the logical place, all ok with the contents. Also dropped off a TB for some West Coast touring.

TFTC gracie7 + Mum, the cache was found in good order Very Happy Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 2 find(s) of 3 today, making this find #4319

When Albi mentioned about his work commitments at Fox Glacier, as always we decided to make a trip out of it, but this time its a long over due overnight one. Spending quality time together, enjoying the drive, picking up some caches, small walks, and also cherry on top, a Heli ride woo-hoo.
Cache was easily found and it is all good here. TFTC.

After another night in Hokitika. Up early again to catch reflections in Lake Mahinipua. Then a lovely walk to the beach...and now the back road through goldsborough to stay the night in Jacksons. Stopped here a bit more carefully than the last and got going again much easier! Quickly cornered and signed. Cheers.

* 20 years of geocaching worldwide.
* 20 years since New Zealand had the very first geocache hidden outside of USA.
* And it's 2020 - all the 20s!

Talk to your geo-friends and start planning to be part of [this event](http://nzmega.com) - you won't want to miss it!

(# 5313). Today is day 2 of my West Coast trip. Weather wise the day wasn't to bad apart from an absolute deluge around lunchtime. No caching at the time as it was far to wet. Today was a trip to Hokitika then the gorge. A quick find. Just as I took the TB there was a flash of lightning and thunder. Considered putting it back in the container as I thought it might be an omen. But I don't my taking a chance so kept for moving on. Everything in order. TFTC

On a geocaching adventure around the country with myself, my car and my tent. Drove almost 4000km and collected 170 caches over a week of roadtripping, camping and seeing the beautiful sights of New Zealand. Lots of fun and so many great caches were found, as well as a lot of DNF's. Apologies for copy paste post. Thank you to all cache owners. Day four driving from Greymouth to Lake Hawea. Thank you for the cache Smile

Day 1 of a 4 day road trip. My mission on this trip was to travel South and West and then East and North. The first Flowery Creek cache was the second one I found. TFTC, Biggles.

22169 Traveling through New Zealand to see nice people and places. Also to find some geocaches.

Today we went from Farnz Jozef Glacier to Greymouth and we had all day, so we made many stops. Allong the road we found many caches, but we also visited Ross, Hokitika and Shanty town. There caches brought us to special remarkable places.

After checkin, Greymouth around the hotel was visited.

Most caches were found quite quickly. Nice little side road from our track

gracie7 + Mum TFTC and the fun it brought us. Theo

Q E F . Park-Out-Find-Sign-Replace-In-Drive= 30 seconds!

Time to start to deal with these creepy crawly caches that have sprung up along the back roads around here. All were Q E F s and replaced as found, some new bugs I'd not seen before - the caterpillar was a stand-out fave. T F T C

The last part of the day involved mopping up a few solved puzzles and heading to Hokitika via Kumara (my least fave vegetable!)

Day 2 of the trip and with daylight saving starting/ending yesterday I found myself up nice and early and in McDs having breakfast at around 0615. The bike had been loaded into the car for the cycle along the beach to grab the Survivor series remainder (though one DNF would prevent a clean sweep!). It took around 1 hour 40 minutes from #3 (DNF last time) to the end of the line #33, and only 30 minutes cycling on the way back, quite a few caches found on this trip and nearly all were puzzles too. After that was done it was drop the bike in the apartment and head along from Cobden to Point Elizabeth all the way to Rapahoe beach end, then all the way back to the car and finally off to Hokitika, along the back roads, before the rain came down too heavily. As it was the rain got heavier and heavier and caching was stopped for the evening at around 1800, stuck on just over 90 finds. A great days caching and apologies in advance for the cut n paste logs, will comment specifically where I remember any variation.

Easter weekend 2018 is here and I have a cunning plan. Well, a caching plan, but what's the difference? With mrs and daughter working over the weekend and me with a few days off work there was a chance to convert some of my solved puzzles over on the West Coast into smiley faces. And add to my West Coast caching total. And do the Point Elizabeth walk, and several other appealing strolls. And some other stuff and all the way along gaining extra points for the planetary Challenge thingy to gain some electronic 2D Geo-souvenirs. And so, setting off around 0730 on Easter Sunday with the trusty mountain bike aboard (for the Greymouth beach-side track) I clocked up just under 1000 kms by road, a few extra on 2 wheels and several more on 2 feet, quite the trip. The threatened rain only arrived on the second afternoon in Hokitika (by which time I'd done my walks for the day) and the drive back from Greymouth via Westport was in blazing Autumn sunshine - Beautiful. Fantastic scenery all around and a large number of caches from b&w and gracie7&mum helped the total to just over 180 finds.
An awesome few days which my family wouldn't have enjoyed, but conversely actually would have, for the most part. An FTF in Reefton on the way through on Day 1 was another bonus, and monkey off the back for the monthly streak. A few DNFs which is to be expected with that many looked for, but a lot of good sights and experiences too. Thanks to all the COs for their placements.

I had thought I might be able to get a few along this road but alas the rain set in and got the better of me today. Anyway first find today was quick and before the rain. Both log and cache very wet. I cleaned as best I could. Dried container and items and put wet log into a dry bag with an absorbent pack in the hope it wouldn’t get wetter. Log was hard to sign and meant I took up more room than I should have. Needs log replacing or at least drying out. Still, a nice reason to drive this lovely valley and it means I will have to return to get the rest. TFTC

Found with StreetWalkerNZ on day 3 of a long weekend visit to Greymouth.
We took the scenic route from Greymouth back to Christchurch, via Stafford Loop Rd.
We took an embarrassingly long time to find this cache. Once we swapped sides, there it was. We were moogled by some curious cows in the neighbouring paddock - probably wondering what was taking us so long. TFTC.

After completing the card series, we made our way following a caching trail into town.
I wanted to do the Flintstones since I had done all the puzzles before leaving Australia.
We found Greymouth a great town to drivw around, a good selection of hides & containers found.

On a big Easter caching mission with ZaraBus and TaybeeDragon. Lots of crawling through mines, climbing hills, walking through bush. And yet we only covered a tiny bit of the West Coast, between Greymouth and Hokitika.
5th cache of the day. Now that it's daylight... it's raining! Great. But we got a cache! So it's not all bad Smile
