Thought we'd found the hide (according to the hint anyway), but it proved to be a real one. We kept looking but couldn't find the cache.
Thanks for bringing us here anyway.

Tried to find this one at night without luck so came back this morning in day light. Still no luck.
Have to start thinking out side the square

What a great view! The cache was quickly in hand. I had one false start when I thought the container was fake dog poo but it turned out to be real enough.... Yuk! Nice hide.

Needs some attention. Could not get the little blighted out. Replaced top and moved on.
Visiting for a reunion, so in the off hours I will grab a few more caches. The ants were nasty here and more than one left their mark.

On our way northwards we put in an additional day inTownsville for the Reef Aquarium and some caches. There were not a lot of them up to now but Townsville seems to be a stronghold of caching.
After visiting the aquarium we walked along the strand and picked up each cache in reach. That was a very nice walk. On the other hand we were not alone which made it not easier! Somehow we managed it anyway except for the last one, where there were too many muggles.
At the end of the tour we searched for this one at a very nice location. It was a happy coincidence to find it within a few seconds. Hunting time was already over.

No chance here - and absolutly no idea...
We came after 8pm and we dindn't had a flashlight. So we looked around only with the ilumination of the GPS Display, but after about about 10 minutes the battery was empty and we left....

North Qld 2013. Day 10, the second full day in Townsville. I walked out here from the last cache, a bit further than expected and then I was really struggling to locate it. I was very worried, but eventually I found it just as I was about to give up. Thanks.

In Townsville for the weekend with Swellerfungus and this one is on the list for today. Managed to find it ok, checking everything around. Clever hide. While here we watched a plane landing on water and enjoyed the view to Castle Hill.
Thanks insane.cache.posse for this one.
Thanks insane.cache.posse for this one.
I nice and tricky little hide. Fortunately one that I have seen before, so LadySim and I knew just where to look! Fisher Muggles had no luck today and I think wondered what we are doing! Cache in good order. Thanks for the hide ICP.
Day three caching with pprass.
We decided to do the town area, as we thought there would be a few less muggles.
A quick scan of the area, and the cache was located. Tricky hide.

Found at 3:55 PM in the company of The Drovers GAFF5. What! Selling land here? We want one. Does it get windy though. What happens when there are storms?
Thanks insane.cache.posse.

Ferrying away from the pull of the magnetic field we spent the day caching around Townsville. The granite is really beautiful, the views were a bit ordinary today and the cache in it's niche rather wet. Satellites today had our GZ 6m south east of where we found the cache.
TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt insane.cache.posse.

Was just about to call it a day and then I thought I'd just check this one spot and b there it was. Was driving me nuts but finally got it.
&^%$%#!!!!
Brought the geo fam to this one and the Geo Darling said look in here. After looking in so many of these I didnt even bother with this the first time. But, sure enough there was the little bugger! Was a little wet (wonder why!) so I spent a little time drying it out before signing the log and placing it back in its "nook"

The Super phone had me a 0m. Encouraging, but no cmo 35mm container. A lot of deep crevasis in this area. I hope it hasn't fallen further than it should have. Will have to come back later with the geo ferrets
Was worried I would need local knowledge on this one. Hunt island...hunt mountain...hmmm in the end clue was more of a confirmation than a hint. Great cache. Really appreciated the container.
couple of muggles nearby but nt interrested in what we were doing, taking lots of photographs of the red sculptures while looking for the cache. Soon spotted it, had a little rouble getting it out but all good, signed and replaced. TFTC
Lived I. Townsville all my life and never knew these sculptures where here! Thanks for bringing us here.
Lovely out here on the edge of the marina in the drizzle this morning. The drizzle kept the temperature nice and cool and also kept the muggles away.
Very strange sculptures. Pity there is no descriptive plaque. Was scratching my head for a minute, when it dawned on me. The hint suddenly made sense and I hunted it down. Strangely enough, in two days caching in Townsville I have been suspicious of these things, but this is the first cache I have found camo'd this way.

This morning geoson, wife and sister headed off to the cinema and I promptly called off and went caching instead. I simply headed along grabbing caches were I could around the muggles.
With the place to myself, I simply kept driving along unfamiliar roads until I got to this cache's parking spot. I walked over and, after admiring the sculptures, had a look. After a few minutes I figured out what the hint meant, and soon checked the spot that I was at originally. Sure enough, there was the cache - just slightly different to what I was initially expecting.
Thanks once again for the cache insane.cache.posse
Cheers

I think this one needs checking on as the cache doesn't sit in the camo any more the way I thought it is meant to

Definitely an odd cluster of scultpures... The hint fell into place once at GZ and cache was soon in hand. Yey for no muggles! A good run on the strand - who would have thought! Thanks insane.cache.posse
Found easily but only because i have seen similar camo b4. Watched the sunset while i was there, what a view!
Hahaha! No worries here! I used to have one just like it! Great little spot and the kids loved it!
Another nice cache by the ICP.
I didn't even know this place existed and such a nice place the view the marina also.
Took a read of the description again before I got the hint and looked in the right spot.
The view up the beach was spectacular today.
Cheers and happy caching.

Gotcha !!! Flew into town this PM to join a boat for the return trip to Yeppoon. Time for a few searches. TFTC
Sneaky hide, had us thrown off for a sec but soon had cache in hand.

Initially we overlooked this cache container as it seemed so appropriate.
It was only upon closer inspection that it was identified.
A lovely area with only a couple of fisher folk nearby.

Neat camo. We have one very similar. A little bit of water in the canister. Emptied n SL
Managed to find this cache after attending GC3MJQ5 "Monkeys in the Park" event cache, TFTC TNLN SL
4th and final find today must fly back down south we had a great time cacheing on the Strand TFTC
I had guessed the container type on arrival as one of the few options available. Upon locating it with bang on co-ords I logged it and snapped a few pics of the coastline for good measure. A great spot and a good hide.

Found on 4th July during a visit to Townsville for Southern Cross Quilters' Retreat. Definitely great views from that spot, and a clever hide. Only one lonely fisher muggle who didn't stay long, so I had the place to myself, which made it easier to poke around looking unlike a tourist! Photos of sculpture (?) attached. TFTC
Another great cache from i.c.p! Wasn't hard to find but was clever. This was probably the easiest find today as there were muggles out everywhere else for the public holiday. Thanks!
What are those blobs? Never mind; an ingenious cache and a glorious view (with Townsville turning on a perfect winters day!) TFTC
What an awesome area cat and beat would love to buy one of the blocks of land out here. About the cache search a little while until bear came up with the goods great camp TNLN
Psilonike found this one yesterday on a trip to I see Icecream's GZ.
Loved the hide. It was easy to locate and I was drawn to it since we have one like this also.
The container was a nicely crafted piece of 5 star camo. Will be adapting your craft for a new hide in future. Excellently done guys!
Was a very windy cold and rainy search and the terrain is totally exposed to the elements. Had to tackle my fear here as the area was a giant puddle... I tiptoed around the edge :/
Would recommend this hide to all newcomers to Townsville. Great location for a hunt. I'm sure the lights here would help with the night searches. TFTC.
Edit: c:geo posted my log before I was done.

GPS had us right on top of this one. Have seen these before so when the torch illuminated the hide it just screamed check me check me. Thanks for the great hide and the sculptures look weird at night. Must check it out in the day light. Sl tnln tftc
Found @ 8pm. Looked around and around until we found it. How could we have missed that? So happy we left a small GC for the next finder. Took some pictures for the log, will upload when I get home.

Took a while to get it - note to self READ the instructions and TRUST the cache owner! But I found it and it was a good hunt
Second time to this location and didn't have to deal with the same numbers of muggles.

Had lunch at the Strand today, so before heading back home I took a walk out to the cache. Never been out here before, took the opportunity to take a photo of our 'miserable' autumn weather to send back home to Germany .

Very clever. I got to see the Red Barron coming back from a trip around the place, and fishing muggles on the other side of the causeway. What a beautiful spot!! TFTC.
# 188 4am start this morning, but we found ourselves in the area about 10:30 when the monkeys realised that this and the waterfall were the only two caches that we haven't found in this area.
Despite a lot of nagging and monkeyisms, there were just way to many muggles in the area, and we had other commitments.
This afternoon, after a short but needed "nanna nap", we headed back into the strand to find the muggle numbers in this area significantly reduced.
Once at GZ, I neglected to read the cache description, and having remembered Yurt's comments, started to search the mentioned nooks and crannys. After about 15 minutes, I checked the map again and brought myself back to GZ. "Where would I put it"........ Right in front of me.

Quickly gave up as I didn't have a light to search the millions of nooks for a tiny cache last night.
Great spot though, looks like the land is being flogged off for housing.
Will return with a light or in daylight.

I checked my email when I got up this morning and saw that this cache had been published late last night. There were no logs when I checked before I left but I was sure that one of the super keen local FTFers would have been out for an early morning raid. I got to GZ and my heart dropped. I had found corikra's "Odd One Out" the other day and thought that I might be looking for something similar. After hopping aaround on the rocks for a while I decided to check on my phone to see if it had been logged yet. There were no logs but a new set of co-ordinates and a name change. I looked around for a short while longer then took a seat close to where my GPS gave GZ. As I mulled things over an idea popped into my head. I spotted what I considered to be a possibility within reach of where I was sitting. I grabbed it and opened up the cache to find a blank log. My first FTF. Thanks ICP for a fun find!

I only just ticked all the left over "city/strand" caches off my list tonight. And when I came home to log them this one turned up! We were at The Pier for dinner, so really close, could have been an easy FTF .
So now this is going to be the only green spot on my map in this part of the city!
