Great little cache. Lovely spot and views. Had a laugh about the clue. Thanks

Find #1206 logged at GZ at 12:47, will update shortly.... T4TC Dog-gone!

I had a physio appointment in Newport as part of my recovery from a broken ankle. Afterwards, I had a couple of hours to get back to proper caching, even with a tender foot. I'd been by twice before, but always too many muggles nearby. Today it was safe to search, and I came up trumps using the hint. Thanks again Dog-gone!

That’s one more find for me! Thanks so much for hiding this geocache.

18-May-14
Out today with Sorceysal doing some of the Williamstown area. Stood at the spot for about 2 minutes before the countless muggles were out of sight. I spotted what I thought was the hiding spot from the path and quickly had the log signed and returned to it's resting place. TFTC Dog-gone

18-May-14
A day out in Willy and surrounds with Dutch Frangipani to grab a few smileys. Lots of women in the beaut park today and the smell of bbq was almost overwhelming to a couple of hungry cachers. Dutch Frangipani had the caching moment here and quickly had the cache in hand and signed before any muggles knew what we were doing.

Thanks for the cache Dog-gone

17-May-14
Found it while out and about caching with Monch's mob in Williamstown. All good. Thanks for the hide.

Two of us were searching for this one today and couldn't find it. Many muggles around too. Will try again

24-Apr-14
Didn't find it :/

12-Apr-14
No luck. Turned over all the stones

08-Apr-14
Record book missing and shell was no longer glued. Same type of cache that used to be just down the track. Tftc.

08-Apr-14
Damaged and parts missing.

06-Apr-14
Nice Autumn day in Melbourne saw me take advantage and do a few caches in the Williamstown area.
While searching for this one, I heard a voice say "found anything yet" and immediately I knew I found a fellow cacher.
Anyhow, after searching for about 30 minutes I gave up.
I knew what the hint meant....that was the easy part.
Now I just had to try and find the cache.....that was the hard part.

06-Apr-14
Sorry, didn't find it. Searched with another geocacher. Maybe it's gone...

15-Mar-14
Soon found on a another visit to Williams town tftc

TFTC good one enjoyed this one..

11-Jan-14
Arrived at GZ to find a group of friends milling around....the fact they were looking at phone gave me hope they were cachers. As I wondered around I heard the comment that it was checked a little while ago. Bingo....cachers. So the hunt was on after checking the hint, the cache was soon in hand. I signed it, but the others were waiting for their children so they could (I think) test their skills. So I replaced the cache and left them to it. As I drove past a few minutes later, the kids were looking and then the others started clapping..........guess the kids found it. Well done to them.

Thanks Dog-gone....another neat little hide.

10-Jan-14
A well hidden cache, ingeniously devised. The clue is not for the location, it's for the object it's hidden in.

03-Jan-14
Maintenance check

02-Jan-14
We tried to have a good look but quite a few muggles picnicking in the park so no luck today.

01-Jan-14
The recent finds would indicate why the GZ looks like it's just held its first megaevent.
Turned over all stones (-1 obviously) in amongst the trampled grasses before the heavens opened and I becamed a drenched and most definitely grumpy mcwomble.

30-Dec-13
It might have been easier to look for this if there hadn't been a very large dog tied to the nearest bench whose owner kept looking over at it and us. We're starting to hate nanos / micros in muggle infested poor gps reception areas with little or no clue how to find them [:(!]

29-Dec-13
Got the hint, got the cords.... Bit my geosense must be rusty took me half hour to find this one tftc

28-Dec-13
Found on our 2nd attempt. 8.00am Sunday morning so few Muggles about. Ingenious hiding spot! Felt we'd earned our bacon sarnie on the Barbie. Thanks

Phew! Finally managed to escape from Christmas "celebrations" with the in-laws Sad and what better excuse than to look for a Dog-gone cache [^]. Several muggles around, but not too interested in me. GPS wanted me in a particular spot, but nothing to be found, so had to head back and admit defeat as geo-hubby attempted to explain what I'd been up to Surprised.
Finally, goodbyes were said and we decided to head back for a second look. I had read the hint and knew what was meant, however it wasn't until geo-hubby also read the hint that the one crucial connection was made. Then it was in for a second look with the Geo-monkey while the boys hit the playground.
With a proper understanding of the clue, it was a quick search with the Geo-monkey and I spotting something simultaneously which was worthy of inspection.
Yep! That's it! Unfolded the log only to find a very familiar name in Geelong caching circles had been here before me (hello ThePacman! Big Grin). Signed the log, returned it and put everything back, summoned the boys and headed for the next.
Thanks Dog-gone! Big Grin

Before I used the hint, I searched such hiding places already. Later I spotted the camouflage quickly.

I wasn't going to do this one, but I stopped for a break on the bike with geokid 1 and noticed it was only 10m away according to the GPS. There were a few muggles about but none right on top of GZ, so off we went. I hadn't looked up the clue so had to rely in my geo-senses but fortunately they came through. A great hide, nice container, and I enjoyed looking up the hint later.

TFTC!

Awesome hide 1000000/1000000

16-Nov-13
Decided to catch the train and head to Williamstown to clear up a few caches.

This was our first DNF for the day

Struggled with the hint and an area highly populated with muggles!

Very clever!

Very clever hide! TFTC Smile

29-Sep-13
Our last find for the day. Were with Gis+Ger and Ger found it after a little hint from some people sitting
nearby who had seen other cachers searching.
Could not work out the relevance of the clue at all.
But TFTC anyway

29-Sep-13
Found with 2peasinapod2012 this is a great park, met other geocachers who said
it was found by there daughter, and gave us no hints.
So abit more searching and soon had cache in hand.
TFTC

29-Sep-13
Previous logs about gz precision and following the hint didn't help. Thought I was smart and understood the name but a sly search revealed nothing.
Too many kidlets around today to allow a more thorough search so we let it slide. Perhaps another time.

28-Sep-13
Very cool hide. Thanks for another, Dog-Gone.

28-Sep-13
Geo-Scarlett nails it again! Thanks!

21-Sep-13

21-Sep-13
Thanks for bring to this area it has some great views on a day out with other cachers TFTC

14-Sep-13
Good hiding spot

11-Sep-13
After numerous attempts since April to find this cache, I was glad to eventually locate it - fortunately just before some muggles invaded the area (which would have meant yet another visit if I didn't find it in time).
Thanks for the devious hide, Dog-gone.

11-Sep-13
Found after the second go, GPS was handy, nice placement. Muggles were a problem but managed to navigate them after some time waiting - Ladventurers

07-Sep-13
Went looking for this a few weeks ago minus a gps, no luck, returned today and got a PB in time spent looking for a cache. Enjoyed the clue, tftc.

05-Sep-13
Gunnie and I took ages to locate this cache! I ended up looking up the hint, and at least we then knew what to look for. Still no quick find as we needed to extend our search area. No idea what Gunnie was doing down at the benches - maybe he needed a rest? Smile TFTC

05-Sep-13
This one tested the resilience of Lochb and I and took ages to track down. The coords were off a little, but we had focused one a couple of particular areas and kept coming back to them... Only after flicking through previous logs did we think about something and widen the search. After a few more minutes, I located the hide at the end of a blatantly obvious geotrail... Surprised

I added our names to the log and we headed off. A nice hide, but the area has sadly taken a beating from the number of hunters coming to find this one... Twisted

Cheers Dog-gone.

04-Sep-13
Had to use the hint for this one! Great to find second time round! Tftc

03-Sep-13
No luck for me today

25-Aug-13
The GPSr really decided to a chuck a wobbly here, swinging wildly from left to right and back again... Given that, the notorious nature of Dog-gone hides, and the clue not making sense to me, I was feeling a bit unlucky about this one. Nevertheless, we poked around in some possible spots before I relented and googled the hint. Immediately it all fell into place and the cache was quickly found after checking a number of objects...

TFTC. Great park and outlook here, and very popular too! Will have to return here with the kids some day.

25-Aug-13
So stumped with this one, lucky I was with H.C and a smart phone [:x]

23-Aug-13
Managed to get Jr Fish off the nearby play equipment to help me with this one. Mr Fish too. As I had lost my pen at the previous cache, I had to go to the conveniently parked car to get another one. More creative handiwork. What a wonderful series of caches. Shame I won't get to find more, but a harrowing trip through the city was beckoning us.

Thank you for the cache.

17-Aug-13
Got this one. Wasn't an easy one for me. Very clever hide. TFTC

17-Aug-13
Hooray hooray for chenzo808 first for the day, tftc

17-Aug-13
Finally an end to the constant teasing and trash talk from Sarahbot and Mrnewz as I get my first find of the day even without the use of my location device.

17-Aug-13
All hear the angels sing! Chenzo808 has a first for the day! Great hide. Got a few spikes by the natives but well worth the wade through them. Beautifully done. Tftc.

15-Aug-13
45.000 km around the world with stops in Dubai, Bangkok, Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. Thank you for placing the cache at this place.

13-Jul-13
DNF for me after search...
thanks

It was quite chilly, so there were not too many people about. At first the Gps'r wanted us to focus on the road but we knew that was not possible. With a bit further negotiation with the satellites P-P came up trumps and we added our name to the log.
Satellites today had our GZ 5m west of where we found the cache.

TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt Dog-gone.

A bit close to a playground for my comfort but after waiting out some muggles I had the cache in hand quickly. The log was full so I replaced it, if the CO would like the old log contact me with details and I'll gladly mail it. I liked the engineering on this hide, thanks for the smiley.

16-Jun-13
Seems like I'm the only one who's been there about 5 times and still hasn't found it.
(I think I should raise a "Needs Maintenance" log to report it as non-existent Wink )
I'll get it one day, Dog-gone!

15-Jun-13
Ok so Sunday mid morning this spot was swarming with muggles... I could see it straight away but had to wait at least 10 mins before grabbing it.. Ouch... that was harder than I anticipated.

Log is completely full. Please place new one! Thanks for the cache, first find in Williamstown. Beautiful spot to soak up the sun.

09-Jun-13
All the picnic tables were taken so we sat on a vacant bench in the sun and sheltered from the wind to have a picnic lunch and let the geokids have a play before starting our search for this one. We soon discovered we were sitting nearly on top of it! Apologies to anyone else trying to find it today who was thinking "Flipping muggles, having a picnic right at GZ [:(!] "

Thanks Dog-gone

jandaw's 128th find

Got a couple of odd looks from maintenance guys driving past, but eventually found the right spot. Great cache design - it was where I was expecting, but not at all what I thought it would be. Thanks for placing it!

Read previous logs and got hint immediately even though Mrs Fiddlers doesn't believe in saying Jehovah! We will be back in daylight.

28-Apr-13
found this during our first caching expedition in Williamstown. What a nice location, love this park and the equipment. this park has everything one can ask for: toilets, play gym, benches, bbq facilities and of course, lovely day...This was an Easy find.

thanks for bringing us here Wink

Went back with 3 helpers. Searched GZ and several metres around GZ. (I'm aware of the clue). Will try again in future.

Had a quick look, but couldnt spend too much time on this one. Didnt understand the clue at the time. When I came back to my PC, I looked it up. Now I get the clue, so I'll come back tomorrow and have another gander.Might even ask Jehovah for some help!

26-Apr-13
Ha good one.
Easy found right away.
Nice idea too.
Real nice spot to. 25 today, ships passing. Smell of food in the air. Wonderful. If i do say so!!!

25-Apr-13
Love that this was first hidden on Anzac Day. We just moved to Melbourne and had mum over for the Anzac Day long weekend this. Spending the afternoon with her in williamstown, what a lovely area! Especially enjoyed the ice cream shop, recommend the toffee apple, chilli Choc has a kick to it. Mum's loved her first geocaching experience and she was the one who found it in the end, without a hint too. Good work mum. Very clever cache! Lest we forget

23-Apr-13
DNF #5 in Williamstown today.
Williamstown DNF streak continues - spent too long searching, thought it would be better to leave rather than making GZ "suspicious".

16-Apr-13
Wow..very nice hide!found it after reading the other logs..tftc!;)

12-Apr-13
A very popular spot today, but luckily no one right at GZ so I was able to find the cache ok. Nice job on the camo. SL TFTC

12-Apr-13
Maintenance check...all good.

15-Mar-13
Found @ 9:43pm, find # 1999
I was able to park nearby and wandered over to GZ and started to look around but wasn't really coming up with anything so I made use of the hint which is very good when you work it out, after that the cache was found quickly and the log was signed.
Thanks to Dog-gone for this cache and all the caching fun.

Spent around 20 minutes looking and after the hint it was found TFTC SL

02-Feb-13
Had an attempt at this one with kmace but were muggled out so went for a wander to the nearby caches. Came back to a much quieter GZ so was able to search properly. Took a little while before the well camoed cache was found, signed and returned. Thanks to dog gone for this one.

02-Feb-13
Found eventually with Littlemerpip. We were muggled out at our first attempt, went to get some of the other caches in the area and returned later on. I had given up by Littlemerpip's persistance paid off. Signed log but didn't swap anything.

Thanks for the cache Dog-gone.

28-Jan-13
We rocked up and sat down on one of the benches, my daughter went to the playground and I got to searching. I looked everywhere but didn't see anything likely. Even a few nearby rocks were just rocks. Someone had unscrewed a screw from a post, but that didn't yield anything either. Mission aborted. Will try again another day.
