Sadly the sewerage needs of the greater Halswell have taken precedent and "House to Rent" is no longer. The great yellow machines have completely destroyed the happy home. In fact you could say it is completely "diggered."
Often seen this building that looks like it was designed for giraffes or elephants. Good to find the cache with Arandee today. Thanks for the hide!
I've driven past this one a few times, today I took the time to explore. Came up trumps after a grovel in the wrong place. Thanks to all cache owners for taking the time to place and maintain your caches. BJ25.
We were out here a couple of weeks ago on the hunt for some caches. Didn't know about this walking trail until then. Came back today with the geodog to collect a few more. TFTC
Cache back where it should be, and can be quite clearly spotted. No lifting and no groveling needed!!
think this more of a summer home, so will come back then, not sure but I think cache may have moved but we put it back where we found it TFTC and open home,
It's a lovely rental! We played house for a wee bit this lovely warm winter Saturday afternoon!
Got chased by a bid dog before being able to retrieve the cache. But what a nice place...
We are out as part of a Ao Tawhiti Discovery geocaching group. There are 12 of us. It was fun but kind of hard.
What air conditioning! Only Mother nature can do this so good!! easy find with geo Jessie on a lovely pm after all that rain. TFTC
Went on my first run in aggggeeesss today so I thought I would make it more fun and find some caches on the way. This cache had fallen out of its hiding spot, I tried to hide it the best I could but may need to be checked its in the correct place, TFTC
[green] A late start today - I had to pick up my car (all four cylinders working now, yay!) and catch up with a fellow cacher at Uni, so my second find was not till about 10:30. Despite that I still met my objective - 40 caches in one day, and all by bike! The highlight was the Back to the Future event and having a go on a hoverboard! (sort of).
Great house! Like the all over, every room air conditioning. Also the awesome picture window

Easy find with given directions. Gale force winds made for a quick visit. All in good order. TFTC.
Tftc often wondered about this cache as we've driven past. Today we found along with kite flying for the kids.
I have driven past this soooooooooooo many times and keep saying to myself - one day N!mrod you are going to break the road code rules and park and grab this one. I never did. However, wanted to get a few other caches in the area and so loaded up geomutt and off I toodle. I made the find harder than it should have been but once I gazed above my navel, there it was! Think the place needs a bit of work doing to it before you can get a rental - mind you, in Auckland, that would probably sell for half a million!
Out on a jaunt to rehunt a previous dnf (success!) And now doing the loop of others. Tftc
I've often wondered about this place then I saw the horses one day and tada, it made sense. Spent a while watching a guy playing with a model helicopter, doing all sorts of loops etc. Cheers
Bit of a doer-upper, I think- but with mountain and hill views it has definite potential.
In Christchurch for work stuff but with spare time today to go and find a few caches. No other humans (or sheep or horses) near GZ today so I was able to search and find the cache in peace. TFTC, Biggles.
Found on way out of christchurch, took a while to get to right street as car GPS didn't allow for the motorway but cache was easier to find. Amazing how quiet it was here even with the motorway so close

This had us divert from our cycleway cache hunt mission. An interesting spot to be brought to. tftc

I was on my way to do the Motorway series of caches today but ended up finding 36 caches on my 25 km walk. After completing the motorway series on foot in just a little over three hours I stopped for a coffee and a sandwich in a little cafe. Again as with the previous cache I set off on a direct route across the field to find this one. The cache is a micro rather than a small but it's not such a big deal.

TFTC a quick find today on this windy day, to cold for me to live in this house.
This one has been on our radar for a while and today it got ticked off. A nice walk on a chilly day.
Had 3 goes at getting this one, first on a bike ended up on the wrong side of the motor way, next in a car and shot past it, third time bugger it flew in by helicopter. Ps you can walk to it
well we had a real good laugh over this one, The things we do for a cache, The access to the GZ was the best part. Many thanks. Cheers Bo
1 of many found today while out with Bo&Bronnie for an afternoon cycle/hunt.
We came from the cycle way, and we didnt cross the motorway, we went UNDER IT! (but we cross the road on the way back)
Cheers

A nice walk out to a deserted GZ, and cache was reasonably quick to find. Thanks for the cache.
Friendly neighbours, easy access to motorway, a little tlc required!!
Found it.TFTC.

Good beginner cache, the general area is easy to find, but once you are there it might take five minutes to find the cache itself.
Found while out walking cross country course that Miss Chchcochrane is competing in tomorrow. She will jump through this structure that houses the geo!!! Thanks
At least this cache was dry (ish), with the free indoor-outdoor flow the water already disappeared and the next tenant can move in... TFTC
Cache size had us checking spots that didn't really fit. House a bit noisy and breezy. Thanks warbut for placing this cache.

Found on an extended Queens Birthday road trip with the infamous Kiwi_Explorer. Thank you for this cache and your contribution to Geocaching in general.
This cache concluded the start of an awesome bike ride It started to rain but the caching went on
I could live in there... TFTC

I'd heard that there was a house to rent, so went to investigate - should have known that it wouldn't be suitable in Christchurch's current rental market. I would be really bad to heat with those high ceilings, I could feel drafts everywhere, it was looking rather run down, the previous tenants hadn't cleaned it at all, it was right beside a motorway... the only saving grace for it was a fantastic rural outlook and a cache!
Interesting structure, really in the middle of nowhere. Wonder how long till it is moved? Quick spotting by Chelzea and cache was in hand for a quick find. TFTC
I sometimes make the easy ones so hard to find!! This should have been simple, but no, I must enjoy looking through all the sheep droppings. Great spot though!
A quick find. TFTC

Thanks, warbut - indeed an interesting house - needed the "air con" in the heat today. I explored inside and out, read previous logs, found and signed.

With a little help from the cache owner (Many thanks) found by Richbritty, Ben and Graemey from the UK.First cache of 24 this evening.TFTC.Nice Hide.
First of many finds this arvo with my son and Graemey from UK. Easy find when you look in the right place and don't read the clue incorrectly. TFTC
found an exit point from the motorway, then a little jaunt followed by a leap over the fence....that was where it all ended as a DNF followed. Although I blame Graemey for saying "the hint says it is by the pedestrian gate/style" Only gave a token look in the right place but got deterred by the large dog poo stuck to the bottom of my sandal!!!! I will be back and this time will look in the right place.
Quick easy find on a lovely day for a walk. Might have to rent this one when or if our house gets worked on. Thanks for the hide.
