#157 I believe the trickery of this cache is missing but i still ended up finding it!
*12 Oct 2024, Found @1:55PM, Find # 3948.*A nice day to take the bike on the train and head across to the otherside of the city. This was a sneaky little hide. **Thanks to GazaC for placing this cache.**
Had a caching day with Jascat. Took our bikes on the train and headed north to Newport. From there we made our way to the Newport Lakes Reserve, then to the foreshore. This was our first find on the way. TFTC
CO should note the log is there but the container is missing. Cached in and trashed out. Pretty place.
Attended the Victorian cache of the year nominations at Cherry Lake with Jo of chooknchunk. Had fun finding caches here there and everywhere and of course, fish and chips for a late lunch. This cache had no container and neither of us had a spare. Great spot though. Many thanks
Accompanied by Sunset62 and after a big morning at the 2023 Victorian Cache of the Year Nominations event at Cherry Lake, followed by a lap of the lake then another pre-arranged appointment, it was time to grab some late lunch in Williamstown, then pick up a few more caches before heading back home.It was pretty clear that this one was not how it should have been. Whatever the cache container was, it isn't there anymore, but the logsheet is. Not having the normal car with normal geocaching things today, we had nothing with us at all to fix it, but we did tuck the sheet in so it should stay safe and dry for now. Certainly needs a check. TFTC GazaC.
Was on the way back from other caches but decided to stop by after finding one close by to where we parked.
Had to get a stick to retrieve it. Id say its more a micro cache than a small, and currently has no container.
Thanks for the cache, found just now. Suspect the hide is not as it should be; hint was not required to retrieve the cache.
We packed the ebikes and headed to the big smoke for a couple of days. Day 2 of our bike riding and today our tour guide took us to Altona along the beach trails.A beautiful day to be out riding along here. Thanks for showing us the sights.
*End Of Year Cache Rush On A Bike Adventure #36*Find 33 of 36 for the day. Apologies for the generic logs. I'm trying to get 44 caches today, and have a limited time span to do it in. Worse, I'm on a bike, and it *was* wet and grey... now the sun's out, and I had to shed a few layers. Thanks heaps for the cache, and happy Third Day of Christmas! This one needs attention. I made it water resistant, but it's a bit more obvious than it should.
Nice spot TFTC!Cache maintenance note: lid of cache is missing and the container the container is no longer weather proof and log completely soaked.
We have got way behind in our logging and are trying to catch up and get our caching in order.Life has been pretty hectic this year, and a lot of it has gotten in the way of efficient logging of finds. We want to thank all the Cache owners for providing an array of caches for us around our countryside and in our cities. We apologise for the generic logs. We must do this to get through the backlog.Unless otherwise specified, all the caches we found were in good order.Thank you, GazzaC, for this Traditional cache.
Found the log and squeezed our name in, but something seems amiss with this one and could do with a CO check. Tftc
First time we have come across a container-less cache. Was able to find it eventually. TFTC
Was so surprised when we found this without a container, such a great find TFTC!
Found in a group this beautiful sunny afternoon, is not very protected but seemingly in good condition. TFTC
Amazed its not wet Love to return SOME TIME. Having a detour to a said destination but in need of a stop anyway! TFTC and the FUN.
TFTC - it's just a loose roll of paper not an actual cache tho, not sure if that's supposed to be the case.
A quick stop to see what all the fav points were about. Im taking that something is missing as i only found the Log, and not the cache.
Unsure if we found this or not. We found a log, and signed it. But it was not in a container? We spent some time searching but this is all we found
Very clever hide however the hint didn't make sense. Thanks for the cache. Found with premedbeast
Great hide! Thank you GazaC for placing and maintaining Bridge Over Troubled Waters for us to find today.
Find # 1866.
Find # 1866.
Great find was about to give up but we had one last quick look and found it! Log is nearly full btw so will need new paper. Great hint and was really fun. Thank you
Spent a recovery day after a busy 4 days at the Australian Grand Prix, caching with NurseyJulie.
No particular plan but we just followed the GPS grabbing caches and labs along the way.
Thanks to all the cache owners for maintaining the caches.
Even achieved 16000 steps today.
TFTC.

After a busy 4 days at the F1, it was time for caching with Firesafe. A good wander and drive around the KCT trail nearby and then down to here at the coastline. Some interesting finds, views and info along the way. TFTC
After a weekend away taking my niece on her first camping trip, I packed up my base in Anglesea and set off for home. Via Geelong, Williamstown and a few other stops of course.
After a stop in Geelong to have lunch with DonutHoles I set off to Williamstown… or so I thought. Just as I was leaving I heard an announcement on the radio that the Princes Freeway had been closed due a truck rollover and sand being spilled across the entire road.
I quickly got off the freeway before getting stuck and so began a long alternative journey to Williamstown, via a cache or two.
Stopped in at the carpark here and set about looking for the cache. A nice neat hide here.
Thanks GazaC for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

With a free evening The Welder and I decided to take the rare opportunity to collect some caches with high favourite points. You see we aren’t local to this area and with some many to chose from we decided to target FPS. Once at GZ I was still admiring the view and soaking up the rays when The Welder found it first go! Thanks for the cache.

It’s raining, it’s pouring
Committee meetings are boring
“Goodbye”, I said
Went caching instead
Now I’ll be logging ‘til the morning!!
Well, that’s how the day started. But now I was accompanied by the ever lovely Heymissjo and the rain had been replaced with a mild breeze and sunshine. Arriving at the convenient and deserted carpark, our first step out of the car was greeted with the smell of salt coming off the nearby bay. We could even see the waves breaking in the distance.
At GZ, there was the strange sight of seeing the creek flowing backwards - inland! Yes, the tide must’ve been coming in, and seeing the many mangrove shoots confirmed that this was indeed an intertidal zone.
We turned our attention to the hide and I was lucky enough to strike the cache in my very first tactile investigation.
Yes, a quick cache is a good cache.
Thanks, for placing and maintaining this hide.

With a unexpected change in plans for today, I contacted Rebel Acts to see if he was available for some short notice caching enjoyment.
The day was long but certainly filled with much laughter and caching stories.
Cheers for the cache

Out and about with My good caching mate Omegaman1971, there are always plenty of laughs while we are turning caches into smiles. Today we had unfinished business back in Williamstown and Altona.
This is one of the caches found today. Experience helped here as we had a nice quick find.
Thanks GazaC for the cache.

This has been a long time DNF for me. As I live in Adelaide I do not frequent this location often, I took advantage of some free time from moving house with my son to get this smiley.
Great hide, found much quicker this time.

Out with echidna44. What a great way to hide a cache in plain sight! Thanks GazaC.
Coordinates are spot on and was an easy find us today! Clever hide thanks so much for the cache and for bringing us to such an interesting place too- plenty of signs to read/things to learn
My wife and I were driving to Geelong and couldn’t pass up a cache with this much love. We both remember giving heaps of love to our in-laws and then also remember how the love evaporated after the first visit.
Thank goodness we were in a rental car because it somehow magically floated over the potholes in the side road. We walked down to GZ and the first thing Mrs
Woodyrothwell did was unleash an army of ants. These weren’t regular ants but incest ants when everyone had bred with everyone and there were millions of ants trying to work out how everyone was related to each other.
After finding the cache we were still wiping ants off each other 20 minutes later and none of us were even related (although I did have to question whether my wife ws seeing an ant on the side). tftc

Out and about on a cold windy wet day. Quick grab undertaken without straying into the re-vegetation area. Not many bird out....
Grabbing the opportunity to find a cache somewhere I never visit.
Beautiful spot, neat hide!

A full day of uninterrupted caching in Melbourne, WITH a car this time! The possibilities are overwhelming. I’ve decided to head to the Williamstown/Altona area for a bit of sea air, and cache on foot where I can. Thanks to all the COs for all the great caches I found today.
I only have four calendar days left without a “small” find, and today is one of them. This cache was a welcome find today.

Great camo, took a few minutes to extract the paper from the tube - but eventually I was able to add my mark. Tftc
Nice quick find at what looks to be a beautiful spot. Will have to return and explore
We couldn't locate. That's 3 today we couldn't find. We'd be happy for a hint so we can come back. The kids are going off geocaching as we can't find any. Thanks.
Cheeky spot! These are someone my favourite kinds of hides. Log was missing so I pulled a pages out of my emergency notepad and replaced. TFTC!
So many muggles exercising in lockdown! Great hide. Hardest part was extracting log from cache, then getting the cache back between muggles!
Sorry for the late log and a generic log. A combination of some heath issues making me not able to look at the computer for any length of time and a mishap with my phone that has caused me to lose my list of saved caches.
Found on a trip out with AusFox;
Thank you for the hide

Set out today to find Adventure Labs and favourited caches around Werribee and Altona for The Science of Discovery souvenirs with SimsFamily.
A very busy location, struggled to get a parking spot with nearby Soccer practice.
With a quick search at GZ the cache was soon located.
Log signed and replaced as found.
Thanks for Traditional Cache Dog-gone. Thanks for keeping it active GazaC
