Another straight forward find, apart from a small confrontation with a man with a gun. But that's another story. TFTC
No 5 hour diversion today, I have a plan to walk to the falls instead
Happy to be finding the cache, and signing the log.
Thanks again for the hides Dominic-Aidan

Came here to drop off the kids as they are hiking the Eastern Okataina walkway. On the way out collected a few caches. Would love to come back sometime and do the side track.
I'd had an itch to head this way for a while now so I contacted my mid week caching partner Mc Jandals and proposed a nice little clean up of the area. We had quite the adventure today caching from dawn till dusk finding some really neat caches in some beautiful areas. I managed to walk away with 23 caches and the highlights were the Tarawera Falls and our cheeky Virtual FTF.
This cache was found quickly and in good condition thanks to accurate coords, a straight forward hint and placement. An obvious placement that I hope will continue to last many years more. Cheers Dominic-Aidan, TFTC

On a trip with Philip.Perry trying to get this area cleared . II am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Many Thanks for bringing us back here. Cheers
I needed to get out and do a bit of outdoor exploring today. Thankfully the phone GPS worked really well and we were able to locate where the cache was easily. TFTC
Another nice little drive by ...these forest roads are better than some of our highways lol ...happy that there was not to much dust today ...thanks Dominic-Aidan
The second for the day. Good road in here, but passed a couple of logging trucks. As we had time restraints we weren't keen on the hike up to the top - another day!. Cache all OK here. Thanks Dominic-Aidan.
Found exactly where expected. Will come back another day to try the walk. Tftc.
Easy find, and in good conditions. We want to come back to walk this trail now. Thanks
Found this one while on a holiday away from our home in Whangamata Thank for the cache and a day in the Forrest

No 2 on the trail. The road is getting a bit drier here. Cache dry. Car very dirty. No! We are not getting diverted. Not that silly.
Thanks D-A.
Thanks D-A.

I went to the Information Centre, paid my $5 for a permit to drive on the road up towards the Tarawera Falls. It was well worth the money spent. I picked up this cache on my way back down the road from the Falls.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Got that one too with MaizoJ, drimdram101 & non caching Dad. Pencil broken so take your own pen!
We are cruising around over the long weekend, picking up caches as we go.
Nice hide, nice spot

Out for a family visit to the falls, showing some foreigners the sights. Unfortunately this was more of a sightseeing trip than a caching trip so I couldn't find all in this area, which on the plus side gives me another excuse to visit this cool place.
Found this one on the way home, was glad for the quick find as didn't have too much time on my hands. TFTC.

Got the paperwork, taking the little car for a spin on the dust.
mmm.... start of a 5 hour trail.... will leave that one for Geckoh!

Found safe and sound despite the clearance of vegetation around it. We are enjoying the road trip, though Mrs Tparty seems determined to drive into every pothole available. I'm trying to keep my mouth shut so as to prevent a domestic. After all, we have to share a tent together tonight, and there's just nowhere to hide. TFTC
We paid our $5 to the helpful young lady in the Information Office, and headed off on the well maintained forestry road. After finding the cache we continued to the end of the road (Tarawera Falls carpark) and then returned to the Inlet for our picnic lunch.
#5 of the day on our mission to complete our '176 Degree Challenge' ... Challenge now complete and all we have to do is stop off at the actual cache site in Te Puke on our way home, to log our find. TFTC - much appreciated to have this within a comfortable drive from Tauranga.

We've done this track before so passed on it today.
Left a pet rock - a grey whale. TFTC

11848... Didn't take the 5 hour diversion, decided to continue to the Falls instead, TFTC.
Another speedy grab. Only one jumped from the car this time, so much more of an orderly affair. Thanks for the cache.
Nice easy find with good clues (and characteristic hide). We then found the Maungawhakamana trail and decided we definitely will do that climb some day in the near future, but too late for today. Then, bonus, bonus, we picked a lot of beautiful ripe blackberries (very easy to reach) and took them home for blackberry and apple pie. Yum. And thanks.
On our way to the falls - quickly found cache trying to get them between showers or sending NZ Biscuit to get it - Will have to come back here and do the Trig ones TFTC
Out of the team I feel that I am wetter than NZFlossy or Kennyclan, but glad my car is at home. Nice drive even in the wet
Lucky i was the driver at this one,had to despatch the girls as the heavens opened up at this point. TFTC.
12.15: On the way from Paengaroa to the Tarawera Falls. And the next one - this idea of hiding caches still has a potential.
Weather: fine, sunny, 14°C;

Out and about testing out my Garmin for the first time. If it cuts down on my iPhone dependence, I'll be happy.
Another easy find. Decided to lock the vehicle and walk the Accord Track to Maungawhakana. If only I could find the trail head. TFTC.

Fabulous day on the sludgy forest road making the geomobile look well travelled under its muddy co coat.
Another quick find as we head to the falls TFTC.

Yippee, another FTF! 3 on the trot, can we hold off Mac Ross for a clean sweep???
This spot is very familiar, any one keen on a 2km climb up this track to the Maungawhakamana Trig??
There is a lovely cache up there that you may as well go and get since you paid $5 to get this far!!
Only 4 people have found it so far so what are you waiting for!!
TNLN TFTC!!!
