Cache has been replaced with a slightly smaller version. Sadly no room for swaps now.
Coordinates changed from:
S 43° 30.055 E 172° 34.974
Coordinates changed to:
S 43° 30.049 E 172° 34.970
Distance from original: 40.6 feet or 12.4 meters.
I took another few readings today but there was cloud cover. The trees will still interfere with GPS readings but I'm hoping people might find these better. Have also updated the hint.

It sucks that when you enable your temporary disabled cache, that if it has a needs maintenance log on it, that you have to log both a owner maintenance AND an enabling log. You would think they could combine both, especially seeing as they took the needs maintenance attribute off the list of attributes that can be editing. This log is purely to get rid of the needs maintenance attribute off this cache listing.
Reading the previous logs and therefore not very hopefull. Despite having the place to ourselves we could not spot anything. Maybe time to check?
MMMM No luck for me on this one, Due to the cold weather this evening the park was empty so I had plenty of time to look. There has been a bit of damage around the area, From kids I guess. Seat smashed and branches broken... The little buggers. . Cheers Bo
Had a good look. Only where my GPS took me. Then it started to rain. Will return soon for a 2nd look.
Thanks
Thanks
Was taking to Sonia today at the office what she was going to find today, and it turned out that she was going to be on my side of town after work, so I suggested a joint caching tour. With my geodaughter as a decoy (she enjoyed the swings) we have given the area a good search since coordinates were pointing over the fence and eventually made the find. I took a TB and we made an effort to cover up the cache to make it fun for the next finder. TFTC! Day #208

I hadn't decided on a cache yet, but was set on something on this side of town, as I needed to get some papers picked up from near the airport.
So decided with silverfern7 to set on a joint mission for this one.
Spent a while looking about, and trees and GPS were really not being nice for this one.
Eventually silverfern made the find, while I was about 10m away!! Nice to have another consec day done!!

I was in Christchurch for work for the day and I was meeting a friend for dinner at a restaurant nearer the airport, I was early and decided to check out what caches were in the area, quick walk to the park and gps then decided it didnt want to put me anywhere near GZ, reading others comments I worked out where I needed to be and the seat was great to stop my bag getting all muddy during the search, well hidden in natural camo, I soon had the cache in hand and back to the restaurant before my friend arrived.
About to head home after being out shopping for a few cache bits and bobs and was passing this and it happened to be one Nosynel hadn't found so a good chance for us both to look. Chees justmeg.
Liked the write-up for this one ... made me smile.
Another quick-ish find.

In Christchurch for some work today with a bit of spare time before getting started so decided to go and find a few caches along the way. My GPS didn't want to settle in this park and pointed me in the wrong direction at first. A closer reading of the listing led me to a different search area and then the cache was found without too much bother. TFTC, Biggles.
After thinking I'd lost my geo-sense after 2 DNF's on other caches today, I finally managed to find one. Approaching GZ I was pretty sure I knew exactly where the cache would be...I quickly searching a secondary likely hide location first, but cache was located exactly where I was expecting it to be. Thanks for the cache.
Pretty much walked straight onto it. No one around this morning so that makes things easy for caching. TFTC.
With the family away there is noone expecting me home on time so have taken the opportunity to grab a few caches. Even though I use a smart phone, I'm sure the coords seem a bit off. Log has dried out nicely. TNLN SL TFTC.
Found after a quick search. Contents a bit wet, we dried out as best we could. TFTC
Headed out with my niece and brother to clean up a few traditional caches in the area before heading home to Auckland.
Took some time to secure this cache as the GPS had GZ about 15m away. Finally managed to get our hands on the cache after 10 minutes of intensive searching in the rain.

Just landed from Auckland and decided to find few caches before heading toward Wanaka. TFTC
Had the place to ourselves which made it easy to have a good look .... Soon had cache in hand ... Dropped off a TB to continue its journey from Darwin T4tc
Quick grab in my old stomping ground. Used to frequent this park a lot as we lived in nearby Sandringham Place. Tftc was - good memory place
I dropped by to check the cache today and it's safe and well in it's hiding place and ready to be found. I've slightly adjusted the hint as an object was missing. Happy caching.

This was supposed to be easy obe, but DNF, though I have used hint and previous logs as well. Maybe next time.
Hint was not to helpful but cache senses kicked in and looked where I would have hidden and there it was. TFTC
If the GPS is not right and the hint is not right, it could be just about anywhere. Not anywhere obvious.
Not where I think it's supposed to be. No where near where the coordinates lead you. Nor was it where Google maps put it. But followed where a previous cacher went and applied a little bit of caching sense that I have slowly picked up and the cache was in hand. And as my mother always said "put things back where you got them from" so I did. Tftc
Could I make it 3 justmeg caches in a row today. Of course I could but not before exploring a stretch of fenceline covered in very wet leaves. GZ for me today was well over the fence. Found the cache when I ignored the hint. TFTC
Found at night with the geokids and the oldest's two geofriends after doing a night-cache. They had a play in the dark, whilst I scrambled amongst the leaves in the dark... The things we GCers do...
[A nice easy find in a part of town I don't usually frequent, TFTC.] It doesn't entirely fit the clue any more, but there are only so many places it could be.
#5327. Troodles had found this one yesterday, but as we were passing we stopped so I could sign the log. Troodles was keen to move on so gave my a prod in the right direction (I'd already seen the cache, but wrongly thought it was a bit of rubbish). TFTC.
A nice easy find to finish the day's caching, though wouldn't want to search if children are playing on the equipment.

Had me scratching my head for a few minutes...then I had a big boy look, and there it was.
Bummer, just as I spotted the location kids arrived to play! Will have to come back another day!
Nothing at the posted coords, but reading other logs make me think they are somewhat out. Will try again.
Nice cache at a pleasant location. However I think the coordinates need checking: they are some way out.
Quick park & a reasonably easy find while on my way to work this morning. Nice quiet neighbourhood, with no sign of any activity anywhere around. Someone has obviously been doing some repairs to the fence in the corner, but appears to be no impact on cache location. TN:LN:SL. TFTC...justmeg. Day 85 of our Consecutive Days Streak. #371 for us.
It took a wee while to find this cache, with the hint misleading us into searching other places first. Coordinates were 9 metres out for us. TFTC
Loveley park in a quiet street. Never knew it was there! Took the time to read the description and then had a bit of fun searching. Need to trust the GPS a bit more! Anyway left a TB for someone to find and send further on its travels.
Came with Chocochunk who had found the cache some months ago. Today we searched and searched and searched, but couldn't find it.
1 of 37 caches Mum and I found today in attempts to reach 1000cache finds by the end of the year.
Another enjoyable cache from JustMeG. The poem was very well done. The fence has been fixed but the cache is still in place. Dropped off TB. Thanks for the cache

Last one for the day- another delightful little neighbourhood park- fortunately deserted today. Thanks justmeg
Found by fence uncovered, looks like old fence replaced, put it under some branches on the ground
I'm disabling this until I retrieve the cache and find a new place for it, hopefully back near where it was. Thanks Team Idris for covering it.
I checked the cache and moved this to a safer place as it was back out in the open again

Another big day of caching around Christchurch today, as this was our last full day before heading back to Oz tomorrow. From the title of the cache I had a different hide in mind, but nevertheless, once at GZ, the cache was found in the likely spot.
Gratias justmeg.

Nice easy find and our four legged friend enjoyed a good leg stretch. T f t c.
