I didn't make it to Gavingo4's Event at this cache location, but found this later in the afternoon. TFTC Toriaz
#14827 11:15While attending the SideTracked event at the John Whitton Memorial, this was a must do geocache.TFTC
Grabbed this one whilst attending nearby event. Thanks Toriaz for the placement All good at the cache Cheers
Up in Sydney with GLISS! for some caching, exploring and the East Richmond parkrun. Tackling some of the long multis, puzzles, and earthcaches whilst we are in the region today. This one was a bit of a challenge with nature getting in the way of a clear path to the cache. But we managed to make the find. An ants nest in the cache meant a photo log had been sent to the CO. Thanks for the cache.
Found with Nibletricecajes. We found A LOT of farmers' friends whike searching for this one. The container was covered with caterpillars, and inside was an ant house. I was not able to sign it and have sent a photo to the co as evidence of the find. TFTC.
The ants do love this container, absolutely full of ants, but nice hide before work
Not gonna lie my father and i found it difficult to find. It is our first time geocaching and it was very fun. Not sure what it meant by base if the south tower maybe someone moved it. forgot to bring a pen to sign in the notebook though XD
I’m also covered in farmers friends cause i ran to go get it si good luck and be safe to future finders.

I stopped to search after a short walk to and under the viaduct - impressive! Once at GZ it was a quick find due to the accurate co-ords and hint. TNLNSL - thanks for sharing this memorial, strangely unheralded

It was a fun adventure at first thought it was a can but found it eventually
OCW with SueDan83 and we are in the area today to target the nearby Bad Man multi. Once back at the cars, we thankfully had enough time spare to head over here to have a look at the memorial and cottage ruins and have a look for this cache. A nice quick find thanks to the generous hint. TFTC!
First time finding a geo and it was fun, I won't lie I'm not 100% sure on what do next haha
I was going to take a walk to the Adventure Lab caches but perhaps another time. Looked to see this one and what a surprise. Where is the sign to the memorial or the toll house.
Thanks for bringing me here and take a favourite. Toriaz

On a circuit around Emu Plains and Emu Heights I ended up here for my last stop with hopefully a couple of caches and a bush walk.
I could see the memorial and took the long way round following the track then after looking at the memorial I headed off the track towards GZ. With it being much hotter today I was a bit worried about slithery things in the long grass but I didn't see any or hear anything suggesting there were any nearby.
The cache was quite exposed, actually not concealed at all so it was an easy find.
I checked the logbook and I am the first to sign in 2022 although the way the grass was pushed back and not hiding the cache I think someone has been here very recently. Maybe that finder doesn't know you have to sign the logbook, which seems to be becoming common with newbie cachers.
The history of this location and John Whitton and the old cottage were very interesting too. Shame it can't be restored.

It was great it helps a lot if you have the meters away from it on the screen
Easy find, lucky we picked a cool day to look for this one!! Cache in good condition but no writing implement. Tftc
Had an explore of the nearby piece of Aussie heritage while I was here. Area has been recently mown which made this find a very pleasant one.
Doing some weed control here today and found on a walk around the site. Container has recently lost its lid as it is still dry inside. Tftc
Finally found after 3 tries of looking for this. This cache I have been trying to find for ages. So happy to find this cache. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache

After tracking through the waist high grass we made the quick find at GZ. Nice memorial shame the grass is so overgrown.

found with Chippyddd and geodog and georabbit while doing some extra caching in the Blue Mountains area. A little stroll from the memorial through some long knee high dry grass to GZ. Be careful of creepy crawlies. A quick skirmish of the area soon had cache in hand. Cache and logbook are dry. Some room for small SWAPS and drops. Nil TBs in cache. SL TFTC TFTH Replaced cache as found ready for the next cacher. Interesting history about the builder of railways. Thanks and Cache on.
Found alongside / by my Geo Buddy Mystic Seer and geo rabbit and dog. SL TNLN TFTH. Thanks to the CO for bringing us to this location. Replaced as found ready for the next geo-adventurers.
I have been meaning to do this one every time I park up the top. Today was the day. TFTC
Once we found the right area it wasn't long before CIH. Interesting location.TFTC
Thankfully, it was a fairly quiet afternoon and the cache was easy to grab once I got to GZ proper. Thanks very much for the cache!
Spent a bit of time looking in the wrong area. Not a great signal here. My other half who is better with maps managed to steer me to the right area and the cache was soon found. TFTC

Awesome, what an eerie place. It's places like this that make me love Australia. Lovely old stone constructions, the buzzing of insects and the heat on my face.
A quick find for me once I'd waded my way through the long grass. TFTC.
