Out to knock off a few GC on NYD with PHUME. This appears to be missing after following the clues and looking in all obvious spots.
It was time to get on the pushbikes and see how many caches we could find along the bike trail. A nice warm sunny winter's day made for a very pleasant few hours riding along the riverside path.
Thanks Champs2Monkeys.
Thanks Champs2Monkeys.

Find #216
So, I decided to go for a drive this weekend.
Headed out from Mackay on Saturday and headed for Clermont.
Not enough so went to Charters Towers and stayed the night.
Done a few caches in Charters and then headed for Townsville.
Stayed the night and headed home on Monday.
Glad it was a long weekend.

10:28:00 AM. We set out today for numbers. We bought our bikes and it turns out the weather is perfect for a ride and caching. Nice quick ride by. Signed log. Thanks Champs2Monkeys for placing this cache.
Have walked past this one many prior to being a cacher. Can see it from the path. Easy one to start the day.
To hard for us. The grass was too long to go poking around in but I'm doubting that's where it is anyway.
A quick one for the Reluctant Companion while I was looking elsewhere. Quick easy find along this beautiful river. TNLN TFTC
Again with the micro caches. still not a hard one to find.
Today I undertook a personal challenge to find 24 caches in 24 hours in and around the Townsville and Ingham area. On such a lovely spring day I was lucky enough to find not only 24 caches but to explore this lovely part of Australia. I would like to mention the abundant wild life including wallabies, butterflies (too many varieties to mention), dragon flies, crocodiles, kangaroos, some kind of ant and I will call a green ass ant (they seem to swarm all over you and bite, not hard or with any venom but the numbers WOW or should I say WOE), dogs and an interesting creature I will call a “North Queenslander”. Many thanks to you guys sometimes pointing me in the right direction but most of all for being good guys.

#6239 It was our final morning in Townsville so we decided that one of us would embark on an early morning jaunt. It was a beautiful morning and had managed to beat the majority of runners and dog walkers at this cache, the sun hadn't quite made an appearance as yet. The streetlight was extremely handy in the location and signing of the log . Our thanks to Champs2Monkeys for bringing us to a very nice part of Townsville. Cheers [^]
Champs2Monkeys are heading south, and as such can not maintain this cache.
^dventurers has kindly offered to maintain this cache on our behalf. C+2M are very appreciative for her help and will maintain a supply of replacement caches and stores.
Those that have contacted us to also offer help, I thank you for the offer, but ^dventurers beat you to it. I passed your names to ^dventurers and she will reach out to you if she needs assistance in maintaining this cache.
To all the Townsville Cachers, thank you for the hunt, and if you’re in the ACT, look us up.
Cheers
Champs

Out caching along the RRPT today with my youngest GeoDaughter
It was again GeoD who made the discovery, we located the GZ using the hint and with GeoD being the right height, she easily saw the container.
Dipped GeoKrety Key Coin.

TFTC Champs2Monkeys. Found with Bob while out on a Sunday walk along the Ross River. We decided to do a bit of geocaching on the way plus it had been a while since we found any of the local caches. Nice easy finds today SL TN LN and RTC with perfect weather and very few muggles in sight. [^]

Tens days left to go pf our 31 Days of Geocaching streak, geoD was flying solo today as geoP was off on secret women's business. We had spotted this one a coupe of days ago as we were riding past, today was the day to finally collect it.

North Qld 2013. Day 9 was my first full day in Townsville and today was the day to hit the Ross River Power trail. After fixing my bike up, I set out and visited a large range of caches along the river. It was a good range of caches some easy, some hard. I did not do them all but enjoyed everything I managed. . Thanks.

Our second day out caching with pprass.
We took the bikes to do another section of the RRPT trail.
After looking in the wrong place, we stopped and had a think about it. Sure enough, there it was.
Thanks for the cache, Champs2Monkeys.

Found at 12:37 PM in the company of The Drovers GAFF5. We were convinced where it would be as we saw many many other attempts at getting "it" off. However after a small incident, it was subsequently found just a few centimeters away. [:o)]
Thanks Champs2Monkeys.

One of the easier nanos I've found. First find after a few DNF's on the RRPT tonight.
I'm eating up the RRPT now. A great cache in a great series. Getting a bit warm though.

Had a 10hr day at work today (happens only twice in my 6week rotation) , so being home early I decided to go for a walk on the river and get a few more of the RRPT caches. This one was first on my route. Quick find. TFTC
Greetings from Oregon! Visiting friends in Townsville. Q&EZ find for us today. T4T
My water is still there and the mrsbiggles58 had the evil eye for this one, SL, TNLN, TFTC
Unsure as to why the easiest hidden caches take me the most amount of time to find.
Cat had totally over analysed the clue and went in circles untill a very obvious find was made
Cat was then shaking her head of how easy this one was, I think I will blame the cloud cover and rain as it started to rain when this one was found.
Thanks for the RRPT

Decided to take my geobro along for this powertrail trip to help run interference and spot muggles. This one was in hand in mere moments. No problems here! Signed, replaced and moved on. TFTC and onward!
WanderingAus wandered by on day 101 of our annual Climatic Refugee trip, making our way from Darwin towards Perth via Townsville, after stopping for a few days in Mount Isa.
After a very nice lunch at the Casino I left the WanderingMrs to satisfy her pokies itch and went off on a Waymarking run, with a tiny bit of geocaching thrown in for flavour.
After a wander around Riverway I headed out towards Ross River Dam, and TomTom kept bugging me about caches nearby. I finally parked, made an extremely quick and easy GAFF 0 find of this cache, and realised it was a Power Trail, so I decided that would be the last cache on this run.
My Groundspeak find No 2845, TNLNSL.

The additional hint made heaps of sense once we had arrived at the GZ.
Thanks Champs2Monkeys. Three finds so far in the series and many more to go.

Came back today to try and finish off the RRPT series of caches.
Found most but one DNF and one that is yet to be searched for still illude me.
I am determined to get this series nailed in the coming weeks.
This one was a nice and easy find, although my pen didn't like the log paper and smudged quite a bit.
Cheers and happy caching.

Yep, I looked in the wrong spot at first too but the gps settled a bit better and I found the cache quite easily then. Lovely walk along, off to the next spot
Had a little time before the flight home today and thought I'd grab the few I had remaining of the RRPT. Parked in the side street near 'Offensive' as there's nowhere legal to park on the river side and walked over. Thought I'd try for this one first and made a quick find. Signed and then spent longer on the other duty that follows finding such caches. Would love to have some sort of automatic tool for this!
Thanks!
Thanks!
