Did your Theta Sigma Beta today. 24 November 2024 11:09 am Tyfc barbbowman total caches now 7069 .
I was in the area for a couple of target caches and included a walk to this one. This was a fun find so a fp. I needed my tweezers to extract the logbook, which was signed and replaced as found. All good here - no ants. Tftc
We're out and about today finding a few caches around this local area.Loved the cache container for this one, it was very fitting for the Dr it was about. There was a nest of ants inhabiting it so we had to clean them out before signing the log.All good now. TFTC
Another one of Barbs unique, original cache containers. Thank you for keeping me entertained. The log was signed after wiping off the and everything returned as found. TFTC
Trouve Lors de notre ballade aux alentours de Brisbane sur notre dernier jour en Australie Thanks for the cache
Found the cache with TBUBIKESU and muggle brother Siggi. Thanks for the challenge barbbowman
I like searching caches in a park - good for walking. We went out today on a warm winter day of around 28 degrees to go for some walks and find some caches. We stopped at random caches in this area. We found this cache and signed the log. A fav point worth.Tftc Barbbowman
TFTC. Getting it down was easy, getting it back up was harder as I was trying to steer clear of the unhappy ants whose home I had temporarily stolen
Lucky it was not in arms length as when I tapped it with a stick it came alive with big black ants. Was able to scare them away and sign log. TFTC
Gave it a blow and didn't expect it to be that loud. I think I took more time getting the log out than finding the cache.
Very hard to find ( we were on the wrong side of the river ) but when we did it was very accomplishing
Enjoyed a walk today along these paths, collecting caches on the way. Cache was lying out in the open, tether appears to be broken. I put it under cover nearby but the CO might want to check on placement. Another creative container! TFTC
Today, a newly published kayak geocache lured me to spend the morning kayaking South Pine River, before returning home via a stop in Bald Hills for a short walk.
Just after lunch, it was then time to grab my visiting parents from the airport, which allowed for a couple of stops and walks in Wavell Heights and Northgate prior to my pickup.
I approached from a nearby side street and made my walk around to GZ. After a short search, the geocache was located, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Initially, I didn’t quite connect the themed container until after I read the description once again - nice one. Thanks barbbowman for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

In a rare day off, I headed in a general north easterly direction cleaning up the area, and then onto some others further north. I had to get back to the airport by 3.30pm, so had almost 6 hours to enjoy the sunshine and find some caches. I had quite a few DNFs today, I did not have my usual mojo. This one was a rectification of an earlier DNF. Despite the excellent cache container, some have managed to jam it all up and hence water has got in. Meh, drained and dried as best I could.
Thanks for the cache barbbowman, find #8524 at 9.09am.

barbbowman I found your cache Theta Sigma Beta on 22/4/2023, 10:50 am. This is my find 5084 and find # 3 today. Found it after a bit of searching and reading previous posts. Not what I was expecting, interesting cache container. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Too good for me. I looked in all three trees but nothing stood out cachey like. Another time maybe. DNF at 8.31am
Tricky little cache! Took me a couple loops and multiple searches on the surrounds to log this one. Spent far too long looking up. TFTC
On the way home from a visit to the Darkside, dropped in on this cute find hiding in a park. After recording our monograms into the log the container was returned to its hide Good/Different .
4th find for the week. Another nice easy one to kick off the day. Interesting container.
Car was in getting some work done and I had some time to kill before I had to go to collect it. What better way to kill some time.

After attending the nearby CITO it's time to head off to turn a few boxes into Smilies on the north side of town. Our group today was RoddyC, Hatsoff, Patrol14, Snickersallan, GrannySmith1947 and me. Arrived at GZ and started our search. It didn't take long before we had the cache in hand but finding the log was a completely different story. It certainly was a team effort and eventually our names were added to the log before replacing it as found. This was a very tricky cache and so tiny. TFTC
On completion of the CITO this morning, I joined forces with patrol14, Imbunda, hatzofff, grannysmith1947 & RoddyC to pick up a few local traditional and long solved puzzle caches.
On arrival at GZ it took us longer than usual to locate the well positioned container but even longer to figure out how to access the log book. After some fiddling around, it was Imbunda who managed to spy the tiny container inside. With all names added, it was then replaced as found.
Certainly worthy of a favourite point from me, well done CO.

After attending the CITO this morning, the usual group has formed to find a few caches in the area. Snickersallan, RoddyC, hatzofff, GrannySmith 1947 and Imbunda in 2 cars, we made our way to this cache.
A pleasant walk to GZ where Snickersallan found the cache but took a bit of time to locate the logbook. Imbunda saved the day, with logbook signed, we returned cache back to its hide.
(I just noticed when I opened the cache description and photos, were the reference to the cache hide was made) Good one. a fav point from me.

I was so glad when I saw this one had been replaced. Quick find although a bit tricky getting the actual cache out and back in! A bit of brute force required and lucky I had tweezers on hand for the log. TFTC!
Thanks for the cache and the recent maintenance. My easiest find in a long time.
Knew what I had to look for but couldn’t find it anywhere. Hope it’s not because of that tree that looks to have been cut down recently.
We are out very early to pick up some caches before peole arrive to spend a lovely winters day in the park. This cache was located quickly, signed and hidden again. What a unique container! Thank you for the cache barbbowman
Very well hidden. Extremely creative! At first didn't think it was the cache, until saw the hint. This is my favourite cache so far! Thank you so much!
With the rest of the family away for the weekend I had the whole day free to myself. I don't often get a chance to cache over on the North side of town so today was the perfect opportunity to rectify this and pick up some solved puzzles and other caches in my to-do database.
Arriving at GZ I had to outwait a couple of muggles walking in opposite directions along the nearby pathway before I ducked in to hunt for the cache. No problem spotting the hide and adding my name to the logbook. TFTC

31/12/20 21:20 i see now that the question was more rhetorical as it only has a 2D level but I guess it had to be one of those. Best place for them, with the ruckus I’ve heard coming from those things in years gone by. Good to see the Sci fi aficionado’s have been out in force over the years here, as i’ve come across some of the ingredients to Pan Galactic Gargle Blasters, which I might add i should be downing tonight, and R2D2 unit and now the Doctor. Who know’s what I would have come across next on my visit. Sadly it wasn’t Pennywise as i didn’t really have the gear down here for that, although I could have made do on my own Thanks for the cache barbbowman. Have enjoyed my stay. Happy New Year!
After the boardwalk loop in Nudgee Beach I decided to continue my bike ride back home via this area collecting some caches.

GPS was jumping around like crazy so it felt like I was being led around by 3 blind mice. Love the use of a very different container, my heart twinkled like a little star. Probably took longer to get the logbook out than to find it, so I was excited to finally record my name and reed the names of the previous recorders.
As I arrived at gz the muggles decided attack from all angles so I ducked into where the GPS was pointing me and took cover. Away from the prying muggle eyes I found the cache hanging around. And like the geogods were looking out for me, I made my exit into a muggle free park. Tftc barbbowman
Out to grab some caches today. Was visiting a shop around the corner. So these two were close enough.
And then had to go pick up my kids from school.

I had to drop my partner off in the city this morning because the train she was supposed to catch was cancelled, I didn't complain about it since it gives me an reason to spend sometime outdoors and grab a few caches before my medical appointment, so I did exactly that. The caches in this area have been staring at me for well... forever, so today was the day to drop past and finally grab them, but due to the recent rainfall it turned most of the area into a soggy mess.
I liked the choice of container, I think most of us remember these from school, well, I certainly remember and I never really enjoyed it. After a bit of a struggle the log was finally freed and in hand after several attempts to remove (Maybe 5 minutes of torture) but I got there in the end. With the log signed it was time to put the cache back together and move onto the next one.
Thank you for bringing me here this morning.

new log book and log holder put into the outer cache container
ants removed
not sure what people mean by a random container
all i found was the cache container with only one name on the log book
not sure what is happening to the log books books here either
the bison was sadly missing
one log says found at the bottom
another says found in pieces
the tether was still in place so should have been easy to put the three pieces back together even if found apart

Even after waking up early I didn’t really feel like getting out bed. Mrs Woodyrothwell rolled over and reminded me it was Father’s Day and I was entitled to a sleep in. It was all the encouragement I needed and so hit the snooze button. I knew our kids probably wouldn’t roll out of bed until 3pm so I wasn’t missing anything. I did notice she left me a delicious fart under the doonah when she got out of bed.
At about 10am I got up and we decided to go for a drive. I will admit that I did check to see if my kids had left me any presents or if they were awake but seeing I hadn’t bought myself anything I didn’t like my chances.
I wasn’t sure where we were heading but somehow Nundah became our chosen spot to head for lunch. We needed to find a couple of caches because at least they would provide some fun on Father’s Day even if my kids couldn’t give two hoots about me. tftc

A very large family of ants has made a home here. I felt awful disturbing them. The log sheet is nice and dry and everything has been replaced as found.
The cache was in pieces on the ground with no log. I added a piece of paper to serve until better is found. But imaginative idea for a cache!
Found while walking wonder dog. I am unsure if they are meant to be together or a clue to the cache. Found the actual cache near bottom. Had no idea there were caches here.
We “found”/saw it after looking around for a while. The area is a bit overgrown and the fear of spiders and snakes made it hard for us to grab it.
After a stressful morning grocery shopping, geocaching was just what the doctor ordered. I really love this COs caches and this one put a big smile on my dial. TFTC and thanks for this fun activity in these uncertain and worrying times. FP for the fun hide.
Nice cache ! Was a nice easy find mind you thought I was looking for something smaller.
Found on second search of the same spot. Found the micro log as well, but came out without a pen. Nice pair of caches!
