Two CANZ caches in one day! Nice! and man, even on a cloudy and dreary evening, there was still a nice view to see. Bet it's nice on a clear day!
TFTC kiwi-nomad, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 9 find(s) of 11 today, making this find #2549

Found at 26 January 2021 7:33 am on a short holiday to Marlborough-Nelson-Tasman, logging my finds as I go (where possible). Will expand when I get home. TFTC
Greetings from Auckland, been in the region for 2 days and finally the sun's out. TFTC and yes thanks for clue from previous cacher - you need a leap of faith to reach for this!
Second time here pleased to get it i have placed the hawke's bay one slowly getting the series aroha and happy caching
Hugh, very hard to find this one, it should have higher difficulty rating. Nothing was found and have no idea where should be regular sized cache at this spot. I was searching more than 30 minutes, must tried everything. No luck but the views are superb! Definitely worth visiting.
What a stunning day to be up here today. We decided to make a run on some of the wonders of the world and that meant we could knock this one over.
I had master 8 with me who thought he’d found it, but I had it in hand just a few moments after messaging the CO.
Picked up a travel bug too.

Woo hoo. Got this one this time. Usually too many muggles around or only a quick look in the past. Tftc
Gordon Bennett this took some finding!! Got there eventually in a spot I thought i had already ruled out. Well Placed Spot. Another FP for you. TFTC Dropped TB
Having a weekend away in Nelson after a long lockdown Day two and a bit of a cold start but we soon warmed up. Thanks to the COs - We can’t wait to come back Lucky I checked my GOS while we were up this way and spotted the CANZ cache. I would have been disappointed if I had missed it A very good sneaky hide and good cache. Great to have another in this series knocked off TFTC
Even previous finders can sometimes get it wrong. Spurred on by the CO's recent maintenance visit and a confirmation it is still there I came back this afternoon and found it. Great view + Good size cache + Nicely constructed hide = favourite. Thanks Kiwi-nomad for the hide and for looking after it.
Have been away but I am back now so had a chance to check out the cache today, pleased to report its still in its hiding place, and all good, surprised to see people can't find it, still it supposed to be a bit of a challenge.
I zipped up past here last night to avoid the traffic below and returned this afternoon for a look. The view was great up here but no cache for me today. As luck would have it some younger cachers were on a the same mission but this time they came armed with a previous finder. We concluded this one is MIA. I'll keep a watch on this. Prime spot for a cache!
Second time looking. Not comfortable crashing around in the flax. Better clue please!
Not quite sure whether we will ever complete the challenge. But this stop was worth it - a great view and a great hide. How on earth did you place the container here? Thanks for the exercise and the great views.
Perfect timing coming across this cache as the sun was setting. What a clever hide, Tftc!
This is my first South Island CANZ cache and yet another beautiful spot to place a CANZ cache. No troubles with the hide and collected the code.

Dear cache owner,
Thank you for the awesome view!
I was looking for a cache, which is located at a position with a great view and which is a larger box.
I travelled with my friend Diego from IceAge to New Zealand and across the South Island. Now I found an appropriate spot for him.
I found him in my hometown, Bremen, Germany next to the university with my girlfriend four month ago. We were great parents. I brought him on a long flight to New Zealand. Take care of him. It is so sad, that I need to put him in a cache. We spent so much time with him and have taken so many pictures, that it really hurts to leave him behind.
Diego really likes to travel. If you download the *.klm file from the geocache webpage and load it with Google Earth you can see where he has been so far: France, USA, Australia, Fiji, Germany and now: Nelson, NZ.
Take care and let him travel

After how many visits over the years!!!! Our first find with Billy Goat.
2nd time lucky here for me. 3yrs between visits allowed me to build up some sort of cache sense. Still had to look in the spot a second time to find.
Fantastic view as always so I took the time to gaze around.
Thanks very much!

We are running out of days to earn enough points for Cache Carnival souvenirs so headed out today to target a few high earners. This was our first stop. We had passed by here once before but there were too many people around so we checked out where GZ would be but didn't hunt. There is a video of this cache on youtube so I directed Andy and he hunted and came up with the cache reasonably quickly. We signed the log then had to wait until we were muggle free again before replacing. tftc
An enigma cache for me, I am not lying when I say this is at least my fourth - yes, fourth - visit here to try and get this one. It has always been on the way somewhere else, so some consolation there, but I have seeked wise counsel in the meantime between my fails and came here, on a very quiet morning, to make an immediate find in a place that I had thought I had 100% checked. There you go. Took 5 seconds. Nice view from here as well, but I didn’t stop to admire it. Have done that too many times before..... TFTC K-N.
This weekend was a planned trip to Nelson that we organised a couple of months back.
My niece was competing in the S.I secondary schools athletics meet at Saxton, (quite successfully as it turned out), and as my brother had organised a house in Tahunanui for 4 days I had a base for a good weekend.
So I took the Friday off work, getting into Nelson while it was still dark in the morning to start a big day targeting highly favoured caches and anything else that took my fancy. Once reaching most of my goals and catching up with the tribe later that afternoon the weekend took a different slant, and it was all about the athletics, catching up and chilling out for most of the next two days.
Jo popped over on Sunday, and after the relays finished we just had time to make the Mapua event in the afternoon, then I grabbed a few more caches on the way home. A great weekend in so many ways, with Nelson turning on some great weather.
Thanks to all the COs, found some good ones

TFTC took a while to find but persistence paid off and hint makes sense grabbed the code
Down from Northland, visiting the South Island on a 7 day caching and sight seeing trip. The main object was to find the last four CANZ caches, finish off my D/T grid, fill as many spaces as possible in my Jasmer grid and then concentrate on special types, solved puzzles, completed challenges and those with good numbers of favourite points, plus maybe a few extras that were close to any of our stopping points.
The trip started off on a good note, with our rental cache mobile being little more than a week old and only 109 kms on the clock. It certainly had a few more by the time we returned it..!
Day three today and heading northward from Kaikoura and on toward Nelson. After making it around the fire cordons and checking into our B & B accommodation, headed off to look for this primary trip target. After parking on the road opposite, we had to wait a good 10 minutes for 3 separate groups of muggles to visit and depart. I guess they were all coming up to view the sunset from this great lookout.
Once the coast was clear, headed over to search. Initially, was a bit mystified as to where a regular cache could have been, but a bit of poking around soon located it. Took note of the important code number, picked up the TB and then replaced safe and secure, ready for the next finders. Adding a fave here from me. TFTC

checked it today cache was in the grass, it looked ok so put it back in its hidey hole
Stopped by to look at this one after seeing that it apparently had a TB in it. Went over to the cache and found one part of it but not the container. Can kiwi-nomad please look at this?
Chrissy Eve find I did the digging! Love from Australia. Will be on YouTube one day soon! X. xmarksthespotyoutube
#3,370: Nightly Find!
Yay! Another CANZ cache found. Believe it or not, I'm still working my way through this series. I'm nearing completion of the South Island, but still a couple to go. I came here on a somber weekend, but brought some muggle friends to give the game a try. I think at least one of them is hooked. All in good shape, but not much of a view this late at night.
SL/TFTC!!

One more day, one more trip, one more cache on the way and other on the arrival city for this night: Nelson.
Still with sun light we've come to the outlook and look out for this cache.

Nicely hidden, easy to find! Spectacular view. My first official Geocache find. Thanks.
We spotted the CANZ series when we had nearly finished visiting the north island. So the goal is to find all of them on the south island.
This one was quickly found.
Thanks for hiding and maintaining the cache!

We discovered the CANZ Caches in New Plymouth. And even though it was too late to try to find all on the North island (by that time we were only traveling south), we had a good look at the South island and decided to find them all there.
After our near miss at Marlborough, we hoped for easier sailing here. And indeed, after a short search (there weren't that many options), container with code turned up.
Thanks for this Cache!

Our second attempt at this one while on a brief visit to Nelson. I'm not sure why we didn't spot it last time, as it was an easy find today after we waited for other sightseers to leave. Great view from here on a lovely morning. TFTC!
Easiest find ever (after work) as I arrived just as the previous family were hunting for the cache and I didn’t actually find it. Watched then extract the cache instead and then signed the log beautiful views and once again a lovely sunset in Nelson. Thanks for the help DieMannschaft family. Enjoy Our wonderful country.
First CANZ cache, . After a nice day on the beach on Rabbit Island, we strolled through Nelson. Based on the cache description, we went to the cache just before sunset. Only one word: beautiful. TFTC
I had tried to find this cache before when I was doing my every day streak, with help for pc we managed to find it .Tftc Kiwi-Nomad
After the final day of the Embroidery Conference, my eyes were worn out from all the attention to detail, and my brain was frazzled. However, Yeetrees insisted upon a detour on the way to the airport, so I could collect this one. Fortunately the muggles left as we arrived, and I was able to search undisturbed. Cache was quickly found, signed, information noted, and returned. TFTC
I had an opportunity to go to the South Island and take a week off work and do some caching while Mrs Yeetrees had to go to the ANZEG Conference 2018 which was being held in Nelson.
Day 4. Nelson. This was the second day of 4 that Mrs Yeetrees had to attend classes and lectures at the ANZEG Conference 2018, while she was doing this it was my aim to go around the CBD and nearby and see if I could pick up a few of the harder caches around the area. This included a few different types of caches rather than just hitting traditional drive by caches.
After finding GC60ZR7 - Another Point of View (Nelson), this was the next cache that I had on my list that I wanted to find today. Arriving near GZ, I managed to find a carpark not too far from GZ, actually it was within 50 metres of GZ.
Walked over to GZ and took a little time to enjoy the views from above as there was a few muggles around, took some photos and once the muggles left GZ it was time to make my way down to find the cache. I managed after a short search spot something that needed closer look and soon realised that it was the cache, and since I had my invisibility cloak on no one paid any attention as to what I was doing.
Managed to retrieve the cache, signed and then replaced the cache back as found. Thanks kiwi-nomad for placing this cache here and for bringing me to this spot, TFTC TNLNSL (13610). Great spot for a cache, a very clever hide indeed. Love the views from GZ, took a few seconds to take a few photos before moving on, giving it a favourite point for the views.
Took the number from the cache for future reference, have found a few now so starting to clean up the South Island CANZ as well. Hopefully it wont be long before I get all of them.

No muggles in the way today, but no sign of cache either. Mrs Nalawod was otherwise employed, so maybe I needed her eyes today.
Had to wait a little while for all the muggles to leave - some were just admiring the view, others were taking scenic photos and one young lady in a bathrobe was making some sort of self indulgent video to post online. While it was all rather entertaining, we were happy when they all cleared out and we could grab this one. TFTC
The two Geocaching goals for this trip was to locate the virtuals in the area and also the CANZ caches. Today we headed into Nelson to focus on these caches in the area. Plus any other we happen to be near.
Another CANZ of the list, only 4 more to go, before the semi's!
What a view, that is worthy of a fav point itself, so with the hide as well I wish I could give it 2 fav points. I was fairly confident where the cache must be once at GZ and having read the clue. Checked a few spots before diving in and finding the cache, very well done.
