I'm staying in St Arnaud for a few nights and after hiking up to Mt Robert yesterday, decided that today I'd take an easier option and explore some of the trails closer to the village. This cache was found while walking along the lakeside, then returning via the loop track. TFTC!
Driving today from Blenheim to Nelson we took a loop via highway 1 to 63 and number 6, a nice tour through the country and so many caches. We stopped here and there with our muggle friends who were patient and just enjoyed our smiles when we found a cacheLike this one Tftc
Went on a small walk and picked up a few caches today.Liked the spot that this cache was hidden. A fantail even helped me search!TFTC
Found with mumandme and Kimmy+co. Enjoying a nice walk around the loop track. TFTC
Lovely Sunday stroll and back to find this one, i previously couldn’t locate. Stoked to find it and so easy lol #TFTC
We made this way harder than it needed to be! So many stumps if you go in the wrong direction. Log a bit damp but all good at GZ. Found with Piwaka54
Found after checking what seemed like every option that related to the hint log a bit damp. Tftc
One of our last finds of the day after exploring these wonderful tracks and taking in the magnificent lake views. This is such a paradise.
This cache was located reasonably quickly thanks to a good hint, nicely tucked away.
Thanks beltfamily.

Nice little cache here the log book was a bit untidy so put it back together in a fashion to make it slightly easier for the next cacher cheers for the smiley
A quick walk in late afternoon with the kids, even better with some caches. All were found by my daughter!
Heard a really loud siren walking to this one. Being from Oz we thought it was an earthquake siren. Turns out it was from the fire station. Hard to find but got there in the end. Tftc. Eatmorchikin from Brisbane
Found during our walk of the Honeydew track.
Thanks for the cache. The logbook is wet and I could not sign.

I decided to head up to St Arnaud Range, make a day of it, and include the Loop Track and the Honeydew Track for good measure! A good day for sure! Last one for the day and I was overthinking it. TFTC!!
Took the walk up the St Arnard range and found every cache there was to be found. Also added the honeydew and loop on for good measure. Near the top it was getting cold enough so I didn't go all the way which left me some time for other caches elsewhere.
I struggled with pretty much every one of these caches getting my gps to agree with the coords. Most where 10 to 20m off and then the hint is minimalist so bonus points for me.

Logbook bit wet but writable, it is falling apart. Thanks for placing caches along this small walk. It is great to show geocaching to our friends.
Its getting a bit chilly now so time for a quick jog back to the car.
Thanks for putting this here for me to find

Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I now live full-time in our caravan & travel the country visiting places we want to visit … we are now parked up at the DoC Campsite at West Bay, St Arnaud for a couple of days, exploring in & around the local area … we decided to walk a local walking track to check out the scenery … we thought it would be rude not to check out some caches … found with no issues, signed & replaced … pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally … TFTC ... TN:LN:SL ... #2,383 for us.
I was surprised at how many places fit the hint. I had to eliminate quite a few contenders before I got to the right place. TFTC,
Catching up with logging caches from our trip last month. Loved it here and would love to come back for longer. Great loop walk with the kids. TFTC
On a PWGT expedition to the South Island with Gorby, RustyNZ, Rebel98 and boneybruce. TFTC!!!
With a group of Westies (rustynz, rebel98, gorby, FMZ and boney bruce) on a caching adventure in the South Island
A bit of a bounce around at GZ, and a couple of hint items where searched before I found the right one.
Thanks for the hide beltfamily, a magical place in the rain.
Luckily no wasps about, but then again it is that time of year, and I am sure DOC is fighting the war!!!

We flew down from Auckland to Nelson for another session upon the PWGT caches and other caches that appeal. This is our last trip for the series and will complete it in the 4 days we have allowed ourselves. On this trip there is myself, rustynz, FMZ, Rebel98 and Bony-Bruce (FMZ’s mascot) starting in Nelson and heading north as far as Abel Tasman and then way south of Fox Glacier. 1500km of driving in our trusty rental.
We had just done a PWGT cache nearby and it was rusty who came here and signed us in, good on her. The conditions aren't great, it's raining on and off, but we are in high spirits regardless.

Nice and snug. Out and about on a beautiful, sunny, frosty morning with much birdsong for company. TFTC:)
I had a few small hiccups on this one. Heading clockwise around the circuit, I initially took the wrong track for few hundred bonus metres.
Once I was on the tight track I stumbled around in the bush for a while before deciding to widen my search a little.
The distance in the hint is accurate, but I interpreted the direction a bit too literally.
Alls well that ends well, on with my walk now.

I am really enjoying the beech forest which is so different to the bush at home. I liked your interpretation of the saying too. Thanks for the placement beltfamily

After a very wet start to the day we were able to get out for a walk & fresh air late afternoon.

Tricky find using phone as not downloaded caches to my GPS around here. Just zapping around doing the latest GeoTour and having fun.
Thank god sound carries on these tracks; I could hear the muggles from miles off. TFTC!
Thanks beltfamily for placing this cache
It was a beautiful place for a walk for walk with plannerPat who is not interested in logging caches as he is too old for this now... but is still ok with helping his Dad find them.

Found with llamasrawesum. No pen to record in log, but found easily enough thanks to hint easily enough. TFTC
Just doing the honeydew loop after a big walk up to parachute rock. Quick find here, cache in fine shape. TFTC Belt family.
We have a full day in St Arnaud, but the weather is not really playing ball. It’s a bit gloomy and cold but at least it’s not raining - that was yesterday - so we have decided to shuffle up parachute rock. Of course if it did precipitate it’s snow to 1200 metres today, so things could get interesting.
But up we go anyway, prepared for the worst, and in the end it turns out to be a pretty comfortable walk. It’s bitterly cold above the treeline and we see some bad weather rolling down the lake, so that dispels any semblance of interest in going further up. But otherwise it was all good. 9 caches attempted and all found as well, a good adventure.

Second find today on Mrs and Miss TEFs walk around the Honeydew Track. Took a little searching as there were many fallen trees. Having fun today! TFTC
2nd cache of the day out in beautiful nature with magical snow flurries. Tftc. Dropped a TB.
Having a weekend away in Nelson after a long lockdown Drove up to St Arnaud to enjoy some beautiful scenery and walks. A very cold start but we soon warmed up. Thanks to the COs - We can’t wait to come back TFTC
Finally found the elusive stump which was more behind and to the left of the sign rather than just behind it.
Gave up the spotted ANOTHER dead stump i hadn't tried. Tada, there it was. Tftc
This one took a bit to find but we eventually got there and signed the logbook off. Managed to find it between muggles. tftc
Another one for me with the Seymour Ave gang. PS our pen didn’ work hence no log entry
Last day of our easter road trip spending the morning exploring the area .
