The way back from the lookout was gentle indeed. We found this one although it was disabled. The cache is still there.

With only seven days to go to my milestone target deadline and a weekend geocaching trip to the Nelson Lakes National Park which won't produce a lot of caches means tonight I need to get as many caches as I can, so in the company of Kiwimykl we ventured out after work to get as close to the target as possible.
I only have six caches left to find in the Wither Hills Farm Park and this evening I intend to target four of them including this 'temporary disabled' one. This was a QEF tonight and as others have said before me, I don't know why it has been disabled. CO it only takes a few key strokes on your computer to enable the listing again.

Found this Cache. It is still there. We did 3 caches on our walk today and forgot to take a pencil to sign in. TFTC
#1436 Cache certainly still in location and all is good. I did remove the lollipop - it attracts many many ants. All ants now evicted from container.
Found with wb-jnr
No trackable present here today
Thanks for another South Island smilie. All now good at GZ

Easy find. Don't know why this one has been disabled apart from a few ants in the cache. TFTC
Our first find on a visit to the South Island. We hadn't intended to take this track to the lookout but all good as it meant we got another cache. tftc
Thought I'd head up this way early to avoid too many muggles. But alas this Easter monday - everyone had the same thought.
So some stealth was required today.

Found this while warbirds buzzed above us...not quite on the spot where we thought it was but nailed it none the less.tftc

This was the third find of the day after our shortcut up the hill to the water tank and lookout, where I was not aware of further caches due to not yet being a premium member. One of my assistants had a little finger trouble entering the co-ordinates, so we initially ended up slightly out but upon correcting this found the cache quickly in the logical spot. Thanks for the cache.

A short walk in the Wither hills this afternoon to stretch the legs. No trouble with this one, even a handy log to sit on while signing the log. Nice to have a lazy day and easy cache to get. TFTC
Week three of our training for the Heaphy Track next month and todays walk was a 9 km loop of part of the Wither Hills Farm Park.
The Wither Hills Farm Park is a working sheep and cattle farm covering 1,100 ha, and extends the full length of the southern boundary of the Blenheim urban area, offering a magnificent recreational opportunity for locals and visitors alike. The park boasts an extensive network of walkways and tracks that guide you to a variety of tree-lined valleys and breathtaking hill-top vantage points overlooking Blenheim, Wairau basin and lagoons, and the North Island.
Nine of us, including fellow Geocachers 'GH6710' and 'Capperz' set off with packs and boots in preparation for the 82 kms we will be doing next month.
This was the first of six caches I bagged this morning and we had barely worked up sweat before it loomed up on the Android App. This was an easy find as the container could be seen from the marked track, it is not so obvious now to the uninitiated.

#8981. The day was starting to heat up, and we appreciated the shade (which wasn't to last much longer). TFTC.
I wonder how many paths or roads are called Gentle Annie? Seems to be a popular nomenclature. StreetWalker arrived at GZ first and he was checking out a typical geocaching hide without success, but I espied something of interest which did indeed reveal the cache.
Now for some uphill grunt to the lookout. TFTC.

Found with eltee291 and FluffyUnicorn02. Near the end of a very good walk up into the atmosphere with the younger members of the family. TFTC
Found with coastalmartinis and eltee291.
What a HOT walk! Was a good walk up into the sky and we found it pretty easily. TFTC!

In Blenheim from Canada visiting with my daughter and her family. Only 30C out so we decided to go for a hike and find some caches. Found this with coastalmartinis and FluffyUnicorn02. Absolutely gorgeous views from up here. Left a pathtag to start its trek around New Zealand. TFTC
Running at Wither Hills Farm Park. Second cache of the tour. Found without trouble. TFTC!
[green] Spent the day in the Wither Hills on a bike I borrowed from the base as there is no way my road bike would have coped with these trails. Man it was hot. I ran out of water and aborted the trip - there is drinkable water along the route, but the ones at the top had run dry. So anyway I have finished the upper section and am now winding my way along the bottom back to the mountain bike trail. Snag is even along the bottom I can't escape going up the hill yet again. Like this cache. Sigh.
Found this but disappeared off my list, sorry but just had to relog... TFTC
Easy find although I did have to wait while some upcoming walkers went by before replacing cache. TFTC.
Nice look from the viewpoint above. This cache was a must do on the way back to groundlevel. Well hidden in a beautiful place.
Set out with the intention of doing the night cache but had problems with that. Found our way up onto the ridgeline as Walk in the Park in the Dark was finishing for the shortest day so we sat down and watched the fireworks before heading over to this cache for an easy find. TFTC

Sat on a log doing the phone thing till the couple following me walked past. TFTC #5679
Find #319 for the BAMMJams - we took the wrong path to start off with, but soon got ourselves on track and had the cache in hand. The mini-BammJams chose a rubber band to take out, and replaced it with a dice. TFTC - the first of 5 caches we found on our walk on the hills this afternoon.
Out for a mornings hill walking today. The GPS took me well past the cache to begin with and then as I was returning a muggle came up the track. "Wouldn't happen to be Geocaching by any chance"? "Come back down this way", and off she went on her morning constitution.

Quickly found on a really nice early morning walk up the Wither Hills with Stefthevet and logged without muggels. Lovely hiding place. TFTC!
The first of three caches we (GabiG50 and me) found on this early morning walk. Up gentle Annie to enjoy a lovely view. Tftc.
Our first visit to Wither Hills Farm park, we enjoyed an early morning walk of about an hour. This was our second find of four. No problems finding this one, TFTC.
Well I took the direct route from the top not far from the shelter, am very surprised the amount of walkers! Was a quick find before heading to the carpark thanks

Headed down the hill, and went to the logical spot. GPS showed we were almost 20m away, so onwards to GZ. Lots of rocks and large stones showed signs of others searching.
Checked past logs and saw that cache is about 16m from GZ, so back to logical spot. Signs of maintenance work here, digging etc. No signs of cache. Returned to GZ, and went 16m in another direction. No hides here. No cache found.

Found again while on a day walk with friends - Retrieved the TB and will continue it's journey elsewhere
My gps wouldn't take me to the correct spot but I finally found the little guy anyhow. Thanks from this Canadian!
Out with Libitee and Bullertrout doing the nearby NCIS cache. Got out the GPS to ensure we made it back to the car safely. - - - Discovered that we had walked very close to another cache. Quickly realised if we could find it, that would be number 40 for the day. Found easily - - - BT had found it before so provided just the hint we needed. TFTC.
Pretty easy to find--but not at the given GPS coordinates!!! Use your Geobrain to guess where a good nearby spot is!
Mrs W needed to cache - a week off and she was having withdrawals - a quick find on an evening walk with a friend TFTC
Had a great wander through the bush with the kids. Found in the obvious place, but for some reason our GSP was about 17m out! TFTC
An early morning walk was on the cards today before heading for home. I had read some of the logs for this cache and made sure I noted Kiwi_Explorer's coordinates before heading out. They took me pretty well straight to the cache. Not in the first place I looked but it didn't take too long to find it. Log is quite damp but just usable. TFTC, Biggles.
Cache was open and is muddy and wet. Need replacing. Nice spot though and away from where gPS indicated.
Eldest child spotted this one. It was probably 17m away from where our GPS was pointing. Showing signs of severe water-logging in the past. Try as we might we couldn't make one side of the container click to shut firmly . We really hope this doesn't cause further water-logging!

Quick find on a wee walk in the Wither Hills, was going to do the multi that was close but will have to come back at night time to do that.
Mrs S solo which proved fortunate. She had found a higher terrain but possibly more direct way to GZ having found some of the nearby caches last trip. Muggles as she was approaching GZ so she wandered along to where she assumed the cache would be. Gone too far so backtracked. Puzzled she checked the logs - OK right first time. But no luck finding so a SOS was sent to SoBad. He texted back with Kiwi_Explorer's coordinates which were not on the phone - and they were spot on. Then it was a quick find although the cache box was very wet. Log was fine though so signed and back - the way she had come in. Thanks.
Here in NZ on a Working Holiday Visa from the United States. Staying in Blenheim at the moment for work. Have the day off so I decided to do some more Caching at Wither Hills. Found this cache on the second try after learning that the Coordinates were off. Otherwise nice Cache and area. TFTC
