No luck. Gps and clue had me pretty confident of where this cache should be...I wonder if it's been removed
No muggles here on our lengthy search, and likewise, no cache came to hand either.
Another work week in Hamilton was coming up and I hatched a plan to drive down Sunday morning to meet up with 11hpg11 for a tramp. She suggested to conquer Kakepuku Summit which provided a fun morning to noon adventure. Afterwards I had some time to kill before I could check-in to the hotel. I checked out the area and found this reserve full of chickens. This one took me the longest today to find. The hint was not clear to me at all and the GPS was all over the place. Made the find in the end trying to sign a damp log. TFTC
Found it!! Very damp and very hard to find but instead of finding a Tupperware container we found a black plastic canister found with best friend muggle Maddison
Munchkin and rourkey off on an adventure! Bit damp today but that didn't stop us!
TFTC! My first visit to the arobretum today with dmccort. I had to send him in for fear of spiders! Left a TB
Found this one after giving up on my phone and going back to the trusty gps (and counting the number of trees).
Great location for a late evening walk. Got dark fast but will be back for the rest for sure and a few more walks. TFTC
Great spot, nice easy find when we counted the right trees.. also took out the condom wrapper. I didn't realise until miss 9 started reading me the destription... taken to keep a family friendly cache.
Went for a walk around the arboretum today, basically enjoying the last few days of our summer break, but also with the idea of grabbing a couple of caches. Youngest team member spotted this one. Dropped off 4 TBs with various missions. Grabbed an alien. SL. Youngest team member made sure this was placed back in the same spot & covered as before. TFTC!
Found after a while. The hint is a bit off putting so searched a number of trees before finding the right ones
What is it with New Zealanders and electric fences! Made it a bit of a longer walk than I was expecting and luckily found it just as the phone rang to say home time. Don't think I would be too keen to search a similar location back home (Australia) at this time of year, might be a few things lurking that are dangerous.
Had a walk around the arboretum this morning with my wee boy and my mother in law to hunt down some caches! This one took us a bit of time as there were a few areas the clue could apply to... but just as we were about to give up we found it!
Yes, I also found the hint quite confusing as there were a couple of other spots that it could also have applied to. Anyway we eventually found it, great spot, TFTC
ANOTHER kiwiteachernz cache! My first 10 or so finds of the day are all yours! I searched everywhere for this one, after getting a bit confused about the hint. There aren't too many places it could be hiding though and after forgetting about the hint, it was a quick find. TFTC
Lovely spit to go for a walk and find some caches
Found within 10 minutes, but I recommend bringing a pen, I completely forgot and there wasn't one in the cache, so ill come back another time to sign

Had heard at the event that cache that this had just been maintained, and addtional hint received. Still took a while to locate. Evetually found and signed log. Thanks.
Old cache was getting a bit damp and smelly so was replaced today. Hint updated.
Took some time to get this we had been given a new hint by the CO at the event as the cache had been replaced. TFTC
I'm not sure this was placed where the hint states but I found it in the end and sadly Nancy is rather wet and could do with drying her feathers.
This one had us counting and searching all over, finally found it but not in the place that matched clue. Has been very wet and is a bit smelly. TFTC!
Phew this was going to be a little tricky, the GPS bounced a bit under the trees, and a bit of ground cover to conceal a cache. Luckily nephew found the box, with shaniqua1, and now we can explore some more.
Nice spot. Like one of the previous finders, it wasn't as described exactly in hint, but only one away - I've hidden it in the same place I found it.
Happy to be caching in Hamilton as we pass through heading northward.
Get quite into the avian swing of things here; having come to this cache from the 'Why did the chicken?'
Straightforward find. All in order; log signed, cache safely re-hidden.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

Took a bit of searching, finally found about 13m from where the GPS said GZ was. Also not under the 6th tree as I counted, so not sure if my maths or the cache location was wrong, TFTC
There were cows in the paddock as I walked towards the location, which had me thinking hmmmm.... how am I going to get there - what I didn't realise was that I had totally missed the path & was walking along the road... had wondered why it was fairly straight where I was... Found a way through to the general area, then spent lots of time searching, before I finally remembered to check the clue, and all of a sudden it was found & chicken was in hand
Nice location. Walked past it several times without any knowledge of it's whereabouts. TFTC
We thought this would be a fun and exciting adventure to do in the school holidays so we spend the day with friends at the arboretum looking for as many caches as possible and to complete our 100th find.
Another easy find. The kids are loving these as they can find them themselves. Tftc.

Good find. Nearly got busted by a group of muggles which added to the adventure had to hide behind trees till danger had passed! Log book rather wet.
Here today for the Easter events, thanks kiwiteachernz for them, a quick locate, had to hide under cover a bit as there were so many people still wandering around the Aboretum. TFTC
Quick find on my second walk around (I'd walked passed it on the 1st time, and then had to get back for the event. No roosters about, just HKBC and caching dog, who passed while I was here. TFTC
After realising I was on the wrong path and couldn't get near the co-Rossi castors on and found it easily. Tftc
Whilst I this cool park with samo83 and having ascertained that a few caches existed here we headed off to this location and pondered over the hint a little.... which direction..... on the second direction the cache location became apparent and the logging was duely completed.
TFTC.
