TFTC, plastic bag the container was in is ripped to pieces so log is too wet to complete needs attention but a fun find non the less
Thanks for your amazing cache tomhussona. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches. Only a couple of blood spots here. Worth a Favourite from me Cheers, Cympull.
On Cooks visiting family. Thought I would grab a couple of caches while I waited for them. TFTC
cache ratings are funny things
we have toiled long and hard for all our D4/T4s so far
many tough bashes through thick aussie bush
some tricky puzzles
some tricky tree climbs
some bastard multis
all requiring notable time and effort
and then
we can earn the same accolade here
for little time and effort
and no sweat at all
this makes us chuckle at the hardcore D/T loopers
it is not hard to fill a matrix with minimal effort
as long as your find the right caches for it
so
we prefer our T4s requiring a little more sweat
but
it is what it is

TEMBO! and I visited Cook. After a walk on the beach we made our way to the cache. The neighborhood was aktiv but Not interested in us. Where the cache was was clear so we had to go upstairs and found it.
Thanks to tomhussona for hiding and maintaining the cache.

Hi Tftc. Super easy find,I'm "5ft and I found it super easily lucky I can climb!
Decided to go for a walk with emiliyah and watcache. Got picked up and drove to some more caches in the area.
We were a bit nervous when we thought we were climbing trees at this one. Gladly surprised when that wasn't the case. Quick easy find here today. TFTC

After getting a few caches along the beach with xsaveya and watcache we got back into the van and set off for this one. We were all a bit worried about tree climbing. But no need for that today.
Quick find here, TFTC

Back in the van and on our way to this cache with xsaveya and emiliyah. We weren't sure what to expect upon arrival. Thinking climbing trees is this for us today???
Got to gz and we were happily surprised about the outcome. Quick find here today. TFTC

I wasn't tall enough to be much help with this one. My tall parter found it! PS, logbook is full
Found on an early morning walk before the majority of the muggles in the nearby house were up. Handy to have my husband with me to give me a leg up. I’m not six foot five TFTC
Came to stay in Cooks Beach for a few days to chill out plus, of course, to locate and sign off a few caches.
I was searching in the wrong place at first until I read the cache title again. I then decided to use my bike as a ladder to reach the cache.
Cheers for the cache.

Scaled some trees then read activy, got a leg and found TFTC. Ps the difficulty rating is a bit high but t rating good as climbing involved
On an expedition to Lonely Bay, so checked out Cooks Beach while we were here. Saw the ratings on this one and couldn't resist the challenge. A little clamber, initially up the wrong pillar, and the cache was soon in hand. Much easier than expected. TFTC.
Day 4 of my week long road trip of geocaching, camping and seeing a few bands. Today I'm cruising around, seeing the sites and doing some goecaches. For the first time I am using the cachetur.no website and app to plan out my caching, and it's proving to be a handy wee tool.
At 6'5" I didn't have to climb, just a quick reach up and feel around between passing cars. TFTC

Nope, could not find this one. Gone?
Taybeedragon and I went on a tour of the Coromandel - one of the few places of New Zealand, especially of Te ika a Maui, that I have yet to explore throughly, and from there along the coast to Opotiki to see one of my many, many sisters. From 18 December to 5 January we found over 400 caches, including 12 adventure labs (60 caches), 20 or so TMGTs and a host of virtuals and earthcaches. And I hosted an event to see the sun come up on New Year's day - surprisingly popular given that it was at 5am. We climbed a lot of hills, saw some amazing beaches that were quite popular despite (or because of) the insane access to them, walk a lot of bush, entered and explored 8 gold mines and generally had an awesome time. However I am glad to be back, but now is the hard part, and I fear it will take just as long - logging!

Scrabbled all over this to no avail and felt very conspicuous. The sign itself is get quite decayed, hope this isn't cacher damage! Decided to leave it for today.
I stayed in Whitianga, but went over to Cook's Beach today to redeem some DNFs from our Christmas trip in 2017. I thought I was going to need a ToTT, but then was able to get it without any artificial help. TFTC.

Out between the showers. Sent the youngest up to retrieve. Easy if not subtle find. SL TFTC
First find of the day with The Batemans, nice quick find to start they day and super close to our bach. TFTC.
My 6ft1" son struggled to reach up so ended up lifting his wife up to retrieve it. TFTC
Haha, great one. Hubby is Tarzan reincarnated. Tftc. Ps quite busy at this location!
Staying nearby at flaxmill Bay. Quick find while waiting for the fish and chips to cook. My brother ended up finding it on the ground where it had been thrown. Put back where it is more likely to be hidden. The Co should probably check on it.

Tftc and a bit of a laugh...
Arrived at gz and thought.... hmmm...two possible locations....but decided on the most likely one. Then came the mission of how to retrieve! Would have been easy if any of the junior scoobydoos had been with us, but alas, they had opted out of this trip....so it was left up to the adults.... Nothing odd at all about a 42 year old lady riding a 10 year old kids bike, climbing up to retrieve this sneaky little hide, in the middle of muggle central. Luckily hubby came for the bike ride, and was willing to provide the leg up, or it would have been a real funny sight! Lol

Found it while in Coromandel with Aiden29 to complete There 'n Back trail between Tapu and Coroglen. We did 400km today.

Had plans with Tramyard to head back to the Coromandel, this time to complete the There 'n Back trail between Tapu and Coroglen. It was an early morning start, leaving home at just after 5am to get coffee on the way to meet tramyard. A very successful day, with 65 caches found before arriving home exhausted at 11pm.
We were intending to head to Cook's Beach but we had taken a wrong turn at Coroglen and didn't realise until we were about 5km from Whitianga. Decided to continue on anyway and find the 4 new Geotour caches in the area and grab some lunch. Finally made our way to our original destination. Headed to start at the Ferry landing and make our way back towards Cook's Beach.
So glad I wasn't by myself to find this one. Tramyard gave me a hand up as he had spied the location but couldn't reach it. Unfortunately a lot of damage in this area probably due to people searching because we didn't have anything to use to climb up.

Found at 2:34 pm while on holiday up north.
A surprising D/T combination in a residential street, but it was quite clear on approach for the reasoning. After a bit of scouting using my phone's camera, I spotted where exactly the cache was sitting - it was just a matter of getting at it. I tried an object brought with us in case we made it to Hot Water Beach (which we didn't end up), but that proved to be not strong enough to help. So I ended up using a local resource to help me reach. Signed the log, replaced the cache as well as the local resource. All good here. TFTC

Had a good idea where to look but how to reach it? Bit of a scramble aand there it was.
Out grabbing a few of the local caches. Turns out this one was just around the corner from where we had been staying. A nice quick find at the GZ. TFTC
On a big mission to get a pile of caches so I can land my 7000th cache on either Mnt Ruapehu or Mnt Ngauruhoe on the 16th March! Hoping, weather permitting, that rustynz can join me for her 5000th cache as well on the same day. A bit of planning going into this I can tell ya!
Well as usual I bring my TOTT with me and out it came to claim this cache. I thought initially it was at the very top! But no, when I was at the top, I looked down and the cache was right there, still needed my tool though... I do wonder what the neighbours must think as they drive past, I'm sure if they are interested enough they'll ask! Love the old chains here.

I was the leg up for hubby who quickly felt it and retrieved it for me, no muggles seemed to be around at the time and it was soon replaced without my leg up and we were on our way.
There seemed to be no place to purchase something for lunch to take to a picnic spot just past the cook landing place.
. We took a trip to Whitianga and while hubby walked the track up to the shakepear lookout i went looking for a few more caches etc before meeting him up at the top. Then we went onto Flax mill beach and the ferry landing. I had never been on this ferry so we went across and walked around the shops for a short time and then caught the ferry back. A great day out and i hope i have not muddled too many caches. .
We travelled north and are holidaying in and around the Coromandel staying in motels, with friends and in our tent while getting out each day to see the sights, swim in the beautiful beaches or go for walks etc as well as locating a few geocaches, of course. We have had good weather the whole time with just a few showers at night and some wind while at hahei.
Thank you for this cache to all the Cache owners and another smiley face.

another quick find ( with help from the hint ) on an early morning walk - just down the road from the bach we were staying at - greetings from Canada
School holiday trip to Auckland/Coromandel with the family. After a night in Auckland we came across to Hotwater beach Top10 for a couple nights. In the area visiting Cathedral Cove and Cooks Beach. Traffic light enough, and no walkers, so easy enough to make a quick find and sign here - nice one!
Last cache for the day. Easy one for geokids, just around the corner from where we are staying. Log paper soaked and falling apart so added new waterproof paper. Fun cache for the kidlets. TFTC.
A great day out with part of Team BOP. After meeting up early, headed off to clear a few areas on our maps. Had the best of winters weather today, had a great time with lots of laughs in between all our wonderful finds. Many thanks to the cache owners for their placements, (please excuse any cut and paste logs as there are many), and thanks for bringing us back to this wonderful part of NZ. Cheers.
. On a road trip with part of Team BOP having lots of fun in this beautiful part of NZ. Lucky we had an agile member of our team. TFTC

We'd assembled the team for another assault on the Coromandel today - my favourite part of the country. We didn't quite make it to Cooks Beach last time so we're here today to clean this place out. It was little different but not too strenuous to get. We signs the log as Team BOP for expedience and to save on log space. Cheers tomhussona, TFTC

With Gap (of Fap and Gap), McJandals, NZFlossy, Philip.Perry, and TNXPro... Another mission into Coromandel. The plan for today was to clear out Cooks Beach and Hahei...

Today was a group assault on the Cooks and Hot Water Beach areas.
Along with Squirrel Nutcase. McJandal, NZ Flossy, Phillip Perry, TNXPRO and myself.
Left home just after 7am and our first stop was Waihi to collect 2 caches.
Opted to travel to Cooks Beach and work backwards home.
Never cached in this area but some of the group have.
Mixed bag of near drive bys, good walks and amazing scenery.
We also we had a couple of each caches to visit, in particular Cathedral Cove.
Lots of muggles today but guess there would be a lot more in the summer time.
Great day of caching
Good fish & chips at Cooks Beach for lunch and good Pizza at Waihi for dinner.
Thanks to the cache owners for caches we found today. SLTFTC

Found the cache solo at night. A huge spider and a slug were guarding the cache. Very clear skies and as I was walking towards the next cache to find, I saw a magnificent shooting star. TFTC
Found this morning after we spent the night here in Cooks Beach. Great place. Don’t really need a boost, just need to be a bit agile. TFTC
During our stay in Cooks Beach I had to find at least one cache to drop a trackable. This one was the nearest to our accommodation. And it was a quick find with the proper equipment.

Mr TW and I caught the ferry over from Whitianga and walked from the ferry drop off to the end of Cooks Beach and back again picking up all the caches along the way. Mr TW made short work of this one as he is nice and tall and didn't need a leg up. Cache description needs updating but doesn't effect finding the cache. Thanks
