Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on a SA caching foray. Staying in Aldinga for a few days and ranging from there to grab some finds. Tucked in neatly. Thanks for the hide LNCU
Travelling with richlink on our Annual Caravan Geocaching road trip, using geocaching as our guide. We're staying in Willunga for a few days, hunting down some nearby caches. Thanks for the cache. Thanks to the firies. LNCU
Found quickly with my geocaching eyes and managed to sign the log which is unfortunately sodden. Photo is of the well-worn desire path up to the area!
Walk this way, walk that way. Eventually found him.. Log signed and returned to his hidey hole. TFTC
Grabbing some caches on the way home from night shift. TFTC We moved out of Christies station 12 months ago and now run from Noarlunga fire station
I needed to grab a few caches to keep my numbers up for the year. Sir_spectre came along to assistThanks to FreddieLifts from mogni .
A beautiful, sunny day to catch a train down south with my bike to grab some southern caches.
I always get excited to find caches near a CFS, who knows, I might get to see some of the people who work or volunteer there

One of seven caches found in the beautiful south today. It’s become a semi regular ritual - put a vehicle in to be serviced at Mile End, hop on a train, get off somewhere between Wayville and Seaford, and collect as many caches as possible within walking distance of a station. I’m running out of stations now, but today was the first time I’ve tried Christie Downs, and there was enough on offer here.
I got a bit confused here as I had approached from the west and this looks like an old telephone exchange. Viewed from the east it looks like the property next door Used2B a fire station, opening up the possibility of another spin off series.
Thanks for the cache Pantzy.

A quick trip to collect some goods nearby, and stopped with Purrfect Di to find this little cache!
A mighty rusty mint tin to celebrate out firey heroes!!!

Travelling all over the countryside with Purrfect Di and Jack - searching, spotting strange items and signing cache logs using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Whereyougo, Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S21u, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just a guyess or plain old dumb luck
Plenty of that luck stuff actually !!!
*All the online logs are composed and published with GSAK of course.*
---
Caution! Caching is a very hazardous activity!
Look out for sand, mud, snakes, surprise cliffs, roos, wombats, things falling from trees, bulldust, and floods, and try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall off your ladder...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- and do watch out for germs and bugs !!! . [xx(]
Make Travel Bugs the Only bugs you share and pass on
Keep a safe distance - cache the countryside
Truly fantastic of all those placing quality caches out and about around the country areas,
in sensible safe places especially! - it keeps our game fun, and interesting
Appreciate you reading all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, apparently! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Maybe if I worked out where I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and we can put an end to these long logs !!!

I was attending an appointment nearby and as I was very early, I decided to go for a spot of caching to pass the time. I wandered down the road to this one and after dodging the sudden downpour it was a quick find here. TFTC Pantzy
Bring a pen and a friend and take a walk around the back of the beautiful Christie Downs

Today with the CITO being south I decided to do half a days caching in the southern suburbs to clean up a few unfound. Interesting to see the areas that I haven’t been to before.
Thanks for the cache

This cache was dead.
Many had reported it was dying.
I replaced it.
I did the best I could with what I had onboard my locksmith van today. It’s a pretty good hard drive magnet in a smaller tin now, but I’m happy with this. If be very happy if someone did this for one of my caches if needed.
And it is miles better than the soggy plastic bag I found with mouldy bits of paper inside!
Let us call this a good deed in the name of my love of firefighters .... and caching.
Let the good karma roll. TFTC

Also, needless to say - there were zero Travel Bugs in the soggy, dead cache I found and replaced
Back to the GeoMobile and a short drive west to park up and go on another medium-length walk to snaffle a small cluster of 3 hides
This 1 of 3 was 1st up
Road-Worker Muggles with their 40km/h boards up were right where i had to go to be on the path to this one [:o]... not a problem [^]
Up the path i went. This hide was found immediately, but has definitely seen better days [:o] No lid, exposed to water flow, the cache wasn't faring too well, with a wet log and silt in the actual cache, i think a new container and log book bag is in order here.
[Wishing i had spares on me]
The log was just dry enough to sign, so sign it, i did.
Replaced as best as possible to stop the weather being an issue for it.

I had a hunt but when I found a lid I stopped and sent a meeasge to the owner to see if this was part of the cache. Haven't had a response since 11 May so am marking as a DNF
First time this side of the city. There was a very loud dog who gave me a fright but I appreciate the info on the fire station.
Looked around all over the fence for a long time then saw something sticking out and aha! Found!
Had time to kill while a calibration was running so took a walk to grab a few caches. Quick find. It would have been easier to extract with a TOTT but I managed to just get enough purchase with my fingers to get the container out. TFTC.
Found on a lovely afternoon on the hunt for smilies in and around Christie Downs.
Thanks FreddieLifts for the cache

Nicely tucked away - blends in reasonably well. Found the cache and didnt find any wriggly-sticks.
With CacheClosed1847, parked and had a wander around and looked in the obvious places, but the long grass and warm weather discouraged much poking around. Save this one for another time.
I stopped with Freddo on our roundabout drive to Willunga for the TDU. Thanks for the hide.
Ol walked straight up to it - love it when that happens! Dropped off a Fire Engine TB. TFTC (will need a replacement log soon)

Chelle had her hands on it before you could say "Wow, GZ is in the middle of this cleared area!"
Surprised us that it hadn't been found very often lately.
Out for a spot of caching on the Sunday of the long weekend.

If you park at the fire station you will have to walk along Flaxmill Road to get to the small reserve behind the station. DEFINITELY avoid parking on Flaxmill Road (it is illegal and there is no room), but if you want to park much closer to the cache, park on Osmund Crescent that borders the fire station to the north. If you stop on the bend nearest to the fire station you will have a very short walk south to the GZ.
I found the cache quickly (there are limited placed it could be), but I had to fiddle a bit to extract it. Signed the log. Took nothing, but left a small token of proof I was here. TFTC

Muggle partner needed to go do some work at his mother's and so I had the chance to go and cache down south
We took Brodie and also picked up Andy from team Andy Colombia so that she and I could enjoy the day together
On one of the coldest and wettest days Adelaide has seen for some time, the two of us sloshed through rain and mud, sat in the car through hail, slid up and down slopes to caches and I even managed to get us bogged Heartfelt thanks to the very nice young man who kindly snatched us out of our predicament [:X] [^]
Brodie and I also had another visit to How Low Will You Go as we placed a container that hopefully will keep the log sheet dry!
Spending time with the whole Andy Colombia team capped off a brilliant day of fun and laughs before I headed home for some much needed sleep [)]
My daily total was a tad less than Andy Colombia's as I found 12 caches.
Unless mentioned otherwise, please know that your cache and log book was in good condition.
After getting lunch from the fantastic Bradleys Bakery [^] nearby, we had to stop and find this cache.
A short walk, a quick find of a container that is even better than an eclipse tin if for no other reason than that it is a type not often seen [^]

Were do I start, Today was a great day caching with Kaye, we were hopping the clouds will go away but No ! A heavy raining mixed with heals make any of our finds a 3 plus difficulty we got stuck in the mud, then I felt on my kness trying to push her car out the mud , crawl under a bridge, eat the biggest donut ever and I lost my phone .. and much more happen in our day caching. You can't complain that you don't have fun caching with Locus cache Between all of this and more, we arrived to GZ an found it, nice container TFTFun
First cacher to DNF. WooHoo!
Didn't feel one bit comfortable lurking around here. I wish I'd re-read the cache description instead of the hint, then maybe I'd have concentrated on the correct elevation.

**this is a late log** I have recently made a major upgrade to my GSAK license and found this lovely feature that automatically tells me what caches I have marked found in GSAK but never logged on geocaching.com!! Yay, Clyde, you can have my money anytime! The caches I am logging in this batch were ones I did in 2016. I cache with an assortment of cachers and never alone. In 2016 I cached with Moneydork, Ride the GeoWalrus, Locus Cacher, Liz & Bruce and Team Zouk. My log should match up with one of theirs. I enjoy every cache find I have made and do not for one second take for granted the effort going into each one, its just I'm very bad at logging my finds and I'm trying to improve. To improve I have to reduce the quality of my log and just get it over with -- for now. If I can form a good habit again I will return to my once more meaningful logging. Thanks heaps for hiding caches around South Australia that I could find!
[Red]I apologise for the late log... Problems with GSAK and crashed computer...[/Red]

After attending the WWFM event in town we are of to Kuitpo to do a bit of cache maintenance and then to Noarlunga area to find some unfounds through this area, it was quite a nice night down here and we are glad we tackled this one a night time, whos fence does this border ? TFTC
The first of many today! Fredfronky and I believe we had a unique experience with this simple hide. With the first pass of the fence we see one of the residents outside smoking a cigarette and looking very tough/scary. There was also a big dog. Nevertheless with the assistance of crouching low and nearly army crawling towards the cache it was signed.

This was a good hide, but required a lot of stealth and daring to retrive.
We faced residents who felt the need to stand outside for long periods of time, people walking past, dogs, and people on trains. After a few failed attempts that ended with me retying my Velcro shoes, we found the cache and signed the log.
Thanks for the experience.
