We had completed most of these series some time ago but needed to check with the CO about a couple of locations. At that stage the final was not available and we have finally realised that it was now accessible/. After lunching nearby we headed off to GZ but being smart I approached from the wrong direction. Lyn managed the right approach and soon located the container and the clues to #13. Thanks to Earthbound Chief for the cache.
I had finished finding all the traditionals to this series a long time ago but never got around to grabbing the final. The time lag was so long that I had misplaced my notes from the trads themselves. So, with some assistance from a friend, I was able to collect what I had lost and soon the final co-ordinates and with me ordering another UV torch in the mail now it was just a waiting game.Arriving to GZ today I was able to quickly spot the cache and collect the information for the extra final. Thanks for the cache and the little adventure.
Checked on this today and all is still good with this cacheAll in place and ready to be found once you have worked out the coordinates
On the way to work early and with absolutely no traffic there was time to collect a geocache on the way.I've been thinking and watching this one for a little while, and now that it is back in play, it is time to collect it.Timed it well with the massive storms just passing thru as I arrived. Grabbed my heavy winter jacket just in case, even though its summer. After 10 minutes, I thought I was going to fail but 1 last look and spotted it. It blends and fits in really well. Shame about all the rubbish. Interested area nearby and wonder why it is fenced off. Thanks for the cache Earth Bound Cheif.Hunter
Cache is in place, it is accessible and all good to go. Happy hunting. The Formula for finding has changed slightly
Parts have finally arrived for replacement and cache should be operational again by the end of the week on my return from Sydney. Thanks for your patience
Visited GZ today. Site is still inaccessible. Will have solution in 7-14 days
Unfortunately the fences are still up and the workers are still working on the park….they seem to be taking their sweet time.
We checked #12 AREA 79: Westall 66 -"Some 40 Years On..." today and while the construction works seem to be nearing completion, the cache is still unavailable
Cache has been removed by adjacent land owner while construction, remedial and rehabilitation works are being. Cache may be offline for sometime. We may need to identify an alternative site
I thought I should locate this while it’s quiet. Still waiting on my UV torch to arrive, so I’ll be back soon. Nearly gave up looking for this today; I’m glad I persisted!
I finally got around to find this bonus cache! It's a great spot, I hope they will create a park here one day!
I have decided to come to Victoria and go to the Whittlesea Mega, I will be travelling with Azzo7777 and other great geocachers at the mega,

Working on my mystery month challenge!
I had originally done the rest of the series back in February, but with this cache being Temporarily Disabled I had to wait until I had time today to get back out and grab this one.
I am always on the search for Large Caches, so was happy to get out here today to grab this one.
The replacement cache was in great shape and the logbook was nice and dry. TFTC

GZ is still unavailable due to temporary construction fencing placed all around area.
Temporary cache can be located 20m north of GZ along and at bottom of opposite fence line.

Out with PrezDough grabbing this Westall series this afternoon and I finally managed to look into the Mystery caches associated with this series.
Finally get to GZ avoiding the rubbish that is illegally dumped around here and made the grab.
Now I am all “clued up” for the remaining part of this series and we are off to fight off the aliens.
Thanks for the fun here EBC, it’s a great challenge.
The cache, container and log are in excellent condition here.
I visited 5 TB.

It's taken 2 and a bit years to get to this point of the series finding the 2nd last cache and finding the clue to the last. I kept notes in a notebook for a long time before I learnt about the electronic Personal Note function on the app and on Cachly. So when I looked through the personal notes I could only find some and not all the clues needed and unfortunately couldn't find my notebook. So I had to reach out to the CO to fill the blank.
Today I ventured out alone to GZ. A bit of a rough and tumble drive in. I should have worn better footwear and not open toe sandals. I wasn't sure what to expect but found the cache in the first place I looked. Wowsers, everything is in original condition including the logbook. I had a great read through the log entries. Made sure to collect the clue.
Now there's just one left to collect......
Thank you for the series and cache here Earthbound Chief a definite fav from me

I was still missing one letter but had enough letters/numbers to make an attempt on this cache. Lots of people use GZ as a tip. I was not daunted and worked out the boundaries of where to search, given that what I was missing was the last easting number. A couple of things stood out here and the first one I tried revealed the cache. I love big caches.
**Found 3 October**
**The Solve:** Collected the clues as we went along (phew) so no doubling back for us. Buuuut we did miss one (H). It turned out to be the last number in the Eastings, so we just made an educated guess. Turns out we guessed right!
**The Adventure:** We started this alien hunt about 14 months ago and made the final assault of the last two (#12 & #13) today. Thanks Earthbound Chief for this cache (the most satisfying so far) and the whole story and series. FP awarded on this cache for the entire series! Cache on.
**The Cache:** Though the area was entirely strewn with rubbish, we were able to deduce where the cache would be hiding. In good condition.
**Took:** nothing
**Left:** a bouncy ball
**TBs:** visited Daisy goes to Australia

Just over a month ago I found #5 in this series, finally bringing to an end a six-year intermittent quest to at least find all of the "non-mystery" caches in this series, for starters.
Back at home I then commenced to go back through my photo archives to try and find all the reference shots I'd taken of clues. Eventually I had every number needed bar one, which I'd somehow omitted to record in any way...
A decision had to be made: retrace my steps and check all the caches to find the missing number, or use the numbers I had and plot all possibilities on a map and see if anything looked likely? The latter was obviously the easier option to at least try first, and a short time later I had ten different "final" GZs to choose from.
Looking at satellite maps quickly eliminated eight out of ten of those possibilities, and when I did some street view perusing, one location leapt out as the likely frontrunner.
But then the latest Melbourne lockdown kicked off, and as this likely GZ was out of my 5km home range I put it on hold, but once lockdown eased (happily quickly this time!) I still didn't come and check it out. I've had a vague focus this year on finally plugging all the gaps in my 366 grid, and as it happens June was the only month that was already completely accounted for when the year started, so I decided to take a months' hiatus from caching...
Anyway, today was the first "no find" date in the grid, so I decided to go out and find something special, i.e. this one. So together with Geoson The Younger (aka Corvius) the two of us set out on the hunt. First we stopped off en route to finally pick up a UV light to finally add to my caching "bag o'tools" and then... we ended up finding another cache entirely, before coming here, but I was still determined to do this one today.
A bit more driving later and we were at what I hoped was indeed GZ. Via street view I'd already settled on where I was fairly sure a cache of this size was likely to be, but as it turned out my "remote viewing" (haha!) hypothesising was off the mark, however with limited possibilities in-situ the quite gratifyingly large container (quite possibly the largest I've found to date) was located at the second place I checked.
Nice work, Earthbound Chief. Very nice work indeed!
While Corvius picked through the extensive collection of swag (ultimately taking nothing - but amused at seemingly finding something we had left in another cache many miles away, several years ago) I commented in and signed the log book, before returning it all to its rightful place. It was only after returning to the car that I remembered the UV light, so a couple of minutes' hacking and fumbling later to get it out of the plastic, I put some batteries in (just happened to have some AAAs in the backpack - phew!) and made good use of it.
Twelve down, one to go... Thanks again for an absolutely fantastic, unforgettable, historically fascinating series, Earthbound Chief. Definitely worth another fave point for this one! Will be genuinely sorry when it's finally over!

Found by a process of elimination as a couple of earlier caches were inaccessible or had disappeared.
Not a pleasant Astra but definitely some interesting stuff around

Found after a fat-finger-fumble earlier on had us guessing. CO helped point the way.
Venturing out on my own today to finish this series of caches. I knew when I got up and it wasn't so cold and dark that it would be a good day for caching.
I had previously done the other caches in this series only to be restricted by the covid situation once again.
I got out my trustee note pad where I had the details of previous caches in this series, and set off to get a UV torch.
Once I had the torch on board I headed for GZ. Unfortunately this has become a bit of a dumping ground for rubbish. A quick message to the CO asking if I was in the right area had me confident to start searching around for the cache.
After putting my head in a few cobwebs the penny dropped and soon the awesome cache was in hand. Signed the log, shone my torch and off to the final I go. Thanks for the adventure chief's.

Our exercise for the day - a good hour walk each way from our Springvale home.
It was a chilly misty night, not at all what you would expect midsummer!
How nice to find a large cache still intact with the original logbook after more than 8 years.

Disabled due to Covid Stay at Home restrictions. Will re-enable when restrictions ease.
Love the container and hiding place. Awesome. Somehow we missed one clue but we had enough to find this. No UV light yet so we will be back to get the final clue.
After writing down the clues from the previous caches, we had all the letters we needed... Except for D. Luckily we were able to find the cache as D didn't make much of a difference.
We didn't have a UV light unfortunately so we'll be back to get this one when we do.

Disabled for the duration of the Covid-19 crisis.
I was hoping to able to avoid this step. Although exercise is ok, beaches, playgrounds, parks etc are being closed, and we are being asked to stay home.
The possibility to transmit the virus by surface contact exists, and with so little being known how long viral RNA stays viable on surfaces why take a risk?
At the end of the day, geocaching is a game, it is non essential and we are dealing with a serious Public Health emergency.
As we keep seeing people continuing to search for our caches I feel the only responsible thing to do is disable all our caches to discourage this until the crisis passes.
Thanks.

Getting towards the end and darkness will shortly devour the solo searcher up this off the main drag track. But BINGO - spied quickly! As for the UV light - I must get one but made do.... A real micro adventure in the burbs sums up the day! In ‘66 I was in grade 6 so the story fascinated and excited the citizens. Top idea for the series. Loved this series and exploring the sites and locating the variety of caches. Now it’s on to
the finale and then back to Monash Medical to visit mum again... got a geo relay happening to break up hospital visits. TFTC Earthbound Chief.

I remember finding the caches to this great series on Christmas Eve 2018 - I was loving it apart from the searing heat, and I couldn't find two of them.
I'm tidying up some unfinished business, including finding this cache. My GPS was bouncing all over the place here, more than I've ever seen before - that'll be those aliens. So after searching all the usual places I had to resort to a PAF - oh wow, how did I miss that.
Thanks for the awesomeness, Earthbound Chief!

I love this series!!! Made the calculated scary option of doing this series at night. I must admit, by the end I had completely freaked myself out!!! What a great set of caches and a bizarre story!!! Thanks for the 13 petrifying stops!!!!!
It is freezing, I'm tired, petrified and hungry, but not yet ready to give the hunt away. Imagine my surprise when I head down another disused track into the wilderness! At last I get to GZ and retrieve a Goliath of a cache from its hiding place. Of course you need a UV!!!!! Seeing how I left mine 4000km away that might be an issue! :-0
But I have a back up plan. Tape and a blue/ purple sharpie over a smart phone light should do the trick according to google....
You are kidding me! It doesn't work!!! Not to worry, surely I can download an app that will help me out. Nope, doesn't work either!!! NOOOOOOOOO, looks like I will have to leave the 13th cache for another spooky adventure. Sooooo close *sigh*

Out in the rain and hail today, my first chance to grab some clues for the Museum Mystery! I had found the first bunch of caches in this series a few weeks ago and today I found a few more and I was surprised to see I had all the info I needed to get the final, Woo! At GZ I was a bit perplexed as to where a regular sized container would be, but then I figured it out and...woooooaah! Great hide, loved the series, TFTC!
Found with Winniethebear. Not able to find all the caches of the series, but had enough answers to come up with the GZ. 1/2 of the caches were found almost exactly a year ago and the rest were found tonight. With night here and a big moon on us we ventured to the GZ. We searched around and eventually were able to retrieve the large cache. Amazing cache container. Lots of goodies inside, but I forgot to trade or leave anything. Fav from me. TFTC and series Earthbound Chief.
Legoman9x and I drove up a creepy path and parked near gz. It was night, there was a huge pile of junk discarded under a tree. We didnt lock the door in case we needed to make a quick escape. We had watched a movie yesterday about a serial killer and I thought the atmosphere was kind of eerily similar so we hurried with our search. Legoman9x made the find and whoa... That is a huge, impressive container. Left some trinkets, took nothing, signed the log and brought out the uv torch to find that there was no battery in the torch!! The uv torch requires 3AAA batteries which we had none of in the car, but we did bring along a torch that used a 18650 battery.. So even though it didn't fit length wise, we gave it a go, constantly pushing the lid down onto the battery to make them have contact and it worked, although flickering constantly. Lucky!! Tftc, love the cache!
I have wanted to do this series for a while but never seemed to be on the correct side of town. Today I had the morning to myself so I headed over to the Westall area to find the truth...because it IS out there!
Having collected the required information on the way I was soon at the resolved GZ. A quick find. I picked up a TB to move on. TFTC.

I did numbers 1 to 11 of this series four and a half years ago, but somehow didn't have the value for F - I must have missed it along the way on the day. So I plotted out the ten possible co-ordinates for this cache spanning a distance of around 1.4 Km.s. Three or four looked possible, so today I drove past the nearest one, ignored that one immediately, then drove to the most likely suspect.
At this waypoint I wasn't overly confident, but I did get out and, lo and behold, I found the cache! So it was well worth the small effort involved and it took much less time than I expected with only having to check one spot. How lucky was I?
My thanks to Earthbound Chief for an interesting series of caches, and for 50 points towards my Cache Carnival score!

Lucky I checked in with the CO before heading into the unknown.

Got myself in a bit of a bind by navigating to the cache co-ordinates rather than my new waypoint. How can it be in the middle of this landfill area? I eventually clued in and turned the car around to head for the actual cache. As we arrived at GZ, I asked geo-nephew to check in a particular spot while I searched another location. After a while, I heard a voice 'How big do you think the cache might be?' and he brought it out from behind his back. A joint effort in opening it and all the swag fell out like a pinada! He picked through it and took the most annoying thing he could find - a small plastic jingly rattle and I left a trinket or 2.
Coordinates for the final also retrieved, but we will have to leave that one for another day.
Thanks for this great series. Definitely worth a +1FP

Mrs Aries and I are staying locally and this series grabbed my interest and was keen to do it. I had read about the incident a number times over the years.
We had grabbed the numbers as we went around the series. Mrs A and self got our brains into gear and worked out the location. It wasnt too difficult.
On approach some debris was noted in the location. From my UFO research I was wondering if they where part of the craft. i.e. gravity amplifiers.
We had a coupleof hic coughs working the next one (#13) and a hint from the CO helped a lot.

Found with ASP84, with some assistance from the CO. Wow, what a find, size does matter and I dropped a trackable off here. Thank you Earthbound Chief
We did it ..... WOW. Wasn’t expecting to find that. While it rained we retrieved the cache and enjoyed going through everything inside. LouJean70 and I both added TB’s that we’ve had for a while. Needless to say, the CO EBC has been fundamental in our ability to get this far.
Thank-you
Thank-you
Went out caching today/tonight with Sinornithosaurus and ended up hauling around 14 caches all in all. I had uni today but we had planned to cache around class and we ended up having a blast finding so many awesome caches!! Visited some trackables, #391
Awesome awesome awesome final cache. Initially we were searching everywhere and we were getting a little frustrated as we couldn't find this LARGE geocache however we persisted and Sinornithosaurus came up with the goods, I swear I looked past that like 3 times but just thought to myself "surely not", also dropped 2 TBs for the next finder to take and continue their journeys thanks Earthbound Chief for an awesome series, will have to come back with a UV light soon and find the other puzzle !! ) favourite point added because I absolutely love the effort and size that has gone into this cache, well deserved

Well I started working my way through this series a little over 2 years ago. Well at last it was nice to come and tick this one off the list. This is an interesting area that sadly has become a bit of a dumping ground for the likes of things that others seem to not want anymore. A television, socks and a pair of underwear were just a few of the things I saw today. Wow what a great size container. I thought the placement was perfect.
**Thanks to Earthbound Chief for placing this cache.**

With all the clues written down it was now time to do the cals.
The coords took us to an interesting and deserted place. At GZ we could see some possible spots and made the find in our first attempt . Excited we signed the log book, grabbed what we needed with the UV torch to move on.
For this one I am awarding a favourite point for such an interesting series and the thought and research that has gone into it. Highly recommended.

This series has intrigued me for a while but I hadn't quite gotten around to visiting the area and looking for the caches. I was really pleased to see that I had all of the numbers that I needed to get the coordinates for this one, though reading a few past logs I was a bit unsure what I would find. I'm pleased to say I found the alien ship masquerading as a cache very quickly, and plenty of treasures. I was helped by a suspicious cow on the floor, though I did worry it might be a trap. TFTC
Yay!
What fun.
I need to be a little braver about putting my hands where I cant see them. There is indeed an awesome sized cache here and its got TONS of swag.
Also...you def want your Uv torch ( which I bought specifically for this cache)
I wonder if the truck drivers ever turn their heads and wonder what is so appeaking about this spot?!
One more to go....

As I'm now 3 months behind in my logging I am desperately trying to catch up and am mass logging to do so.
On my way down to Melbourne for a pre-procedure meeting today and then an angiogram tomorrow so that I don't end up dead! [xx(]
kmace met me at the hospital with a cappuccino and once I was finished we went out caching [^] By the time I dropped her back at her car, I found one more cache on my own and then headed to kmace's for some sleep it was well after midnight [)] I'm guessing I'll sleep tomorrow in the hospital
Total of 11 caches found under a super full blue moon of gigantic proportions
Cool hide and I am going t try to get back and do the rest of the series as this is fascinating

Found with locus cache on a night getting up to mischief including painting the moon black and red and all sorts of other colours! What do you mean? You mean it wasn't us - ah well it makes a good story.
Anyway back to the cache - I did the individual caches many years ago having trouble with some of them and then misplacing some of the clues and having to go back a couple of times to get them! All the clues got put in storage and have recently emerged and so we decided that collecting this one was in order tonight.
Well on the way to the cache, locus cache decided to test the car's 4wd driving ability (passable but marginal) and then it was a quick find for me while locus cache tried to take pictures of our artwork on the moon. This was almost the full lunar eclipse by this stage. We admired the very creative cache, signed the log and collected the clue for #13 (after turning the car upside down almost to find out that locus cache had the right tool in the car! I was being a part time cacher that night and didn't bring my correct tools for caching). Then we headed off to explore the big wide world of caches (without being abducted by ailens)!
This was a great series and I enjoyed the variety of hides so thanks a lot for every part of it and a favourite point is given for this series and this cache.
Thanks for the cache Earthbound Chief.

An excellent end to a series that (like many others) had been completed over the period of more than a year. I began this series before I had accepted the idea that a time/date stamped photograph was THE way to maintain a record of clues gathered from different caches over a lengthy time span.
Consequently many notebooks were gone through in order to compile the clues into a set of working co-ordinates and even then I still had a gap or two.
After playing around with some numbers a couple of possible spots were arrived at. After confirming my suspicions with a previous finder I initially drove down in the late afternoon on Friday. I made the mistake of assuming that a car with the sun-shield erected and no one visible in either the front or back seats had no occupants. I set to searching for a viable hide and finally happened across that which could contain a large cache. As I began extracting the cache a face popped up in the car. Damn, muggled out in a spot like this? Sheesh! So reversing my previous action I went back to the car cursing muggles who parked in a spot like this for some shut-eye and left it for another day, hoping that the muggles wouldn't decide to investigate exactly what I was doing.
Back again tonight, bearing in mind one of the attributes and I quickly laid hands on the good sized cache. Duties done I debated whether to complete the series and hunt for the remains but decided to hold off for tonight. Reading some of the logs when back at home I was glad to have done so. Looks like I'll be searching for some breaches in the perimeter when I go back.
Thanks for putting the series together as well as maintaining it, EC. Much appreciated and I'll be back for the elusive multi and last mystery in the next little while...

Was out and about tonight with Mrs Welder as we tried to close in on The Truth - and I ain't talking about no tabloid famous for its page 3 girls!
We'd persevered through some interesting challenges. It was my third day of examining the evidence and piecing together the clues. There must have been unseen forces at work trying to undermine our efforts because though I had visited every point of interest, I was still somehow missing a piece of the puzzle. Was it sabotage from secret agents? Or extraterrestrial interference?
Fortunately, the missing information was of little importance. A pattern had emerged. The Truth was taking shape...
We arrived on scene in the dead of night. It didn't seem like a place of interplanetary significance, but then that's what 'they' would have you believe.
I poked about and found a curious artifact in the 3rd place I tried. I brushed off a cockroach - clearly the only creature capable of enduring the residual radiation left by the UFOs. I took a deep breath and braced myself for the moment of Truth and discovered...
Yes, what did I discover?
Well, what I discovered is classified - but I can inform you that taking a deep breath around here isn't for the faint hearted!! Lol.
This was a brilliant find at the end of a captivating series. The large seal bag is cactus, but I totally loved the work on the logbook. A very impressive cache!
Thanks so much, Earthbound Chief. This easily gets a favourite from me.
As for Mrs Welder... she thinks the locations I'm choosing for 'date night' are getting a bit 'on the nose'!!
I might have to lift my game on that front...

Hi EC, here is the fav point we owe you from 10/4/16 - finally earned some!
YAY!! Had to force two numbers but robber44 had the skill to do it Found a likely looking spot and had a flashback to coming here many years ago with matt_geo before I had an account!! What a wonderful series with great hides along the way.
Had walked the paths and found most of the series, but without recording the codes. So today did the circuit again with cjfinda to gather the clues. We returned to base missing a couple of numbers, one big, one small, but with east established I theorised on possible locations. That's got to be it, so off we set for another eerie location, and I quickly laid a hand on the prize. Now for the final search. TFTC

Out and about with Papillon4506 (Geoturtle37) this afternoon.
"Finish Area 79" has been on my geo-bucket list for some time now.
After piecing together the clues, we managed to locate the extraction point.
Thanks for this wonderful series, Earthbound Chief A fav point from me.

Lucky for us, OzHockeyChick had done the rest of this series so had all the clues. A quick bit of calculating, a short drive and the cache was found. Loved the placement. Now for the bonus cache. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
Took 4 years but we finally made it back to this area to finish the series. Took the TB.
While in the **area** we noticed this series pop up on our map which sounded intriguing so we set about following the UFO sightings to the ultimate Westall encounter . With minimal traffic on the roads this afternoon we travelled around swiftly from cache to cache , adding our names to the logs and collecting the clues. Unfortunately we had many dnf's making this series incomplete but we will return to the scene of the X-File like phenomenon and try to unravel the clues..... **The Truth is Out There!**
Missing 2 of the clues a PAF was in order and then we were on the right track, so to speak. The well concealed cache was revealed and our uv torch was helpful.
Thanks Earthbound Chief for the series.

I basically had the day free so I thought I should jump on my bike and get some caches, a very well constructed hide, massive i don't like sticking my hands down things without looking first but i had to just do as i was to short to check, i pulled it from its place signed the log and dropped a trackable also visiting some others, i got what i needed for the next one and moved on

The two mystery caches associated with this series have been catching my eye from the map ever since I signed up here. I was in the general area this morning and decided it might be time to turn them into smileys. I knew I had stored away some of the clues in the fairly distant past, so endeavoured to collect a few more today. But I didn't quite finish collecting the trads, as I stumbled on a plausible location for this cache based on partial information, and felt an overwhelming compulsion to investigate that first. I actually had *two* seemingly plausible but loosely-defined locations, and was pleased to find the substantial and rather distinctive cache at the first one I tried. Very nice. I think I said in a much older log entry that I didn't know anything about the incidents here before this series, so thanks for bringing the matter to my attention in this way Earthbound Chief!
Headed out on a wonderfully sunny ANZAC Day to complete this series. Had a few DNFs on the way but nevertheless managed to find all the clues in the caches located to solve this one. Great cache and great hide. Thanks for the series
An epic finale today with our last two mysteries solved to complete this fantastic series. Way back when we first started caching we tackled a few of these and learned the fascinating story of how the UFO came to Victoria. Back then we didn't believe mysteries were anything we would ever be interested in (oh how times change) and since finding the other caches, have had to revisit some of the old ones we'd already found to get the clues for the final mystery caches. We've now completed them all - with a bit of help from an alien or two. There were a few DNFs, a few disabled caches along the way but happy to have the final smiley on this epic series. And we are also stoked to have attended the recent Westall Series event. Thanks Earthbound Chief. A fav point coming as soon as we earn one.
Travelled down from Western Vic this afternoon to cache with Lazyade, The Swaggies & Tagalong Wife, and investigate the Area 79 Westall Incident in detail prior to the 50th anniversary event. Having gathered all the clues while tracking the story and the path of the UFO, we navigated our way to the final destination. We nearly walked past the large object we sought. Nice cache! Thank you for the cache and the series Earthbound Chief.
We were advancing on the location of the extraction point and we hoped we would not be too late. The info point was initially missed but on a recount tbe device was found. Soon we had enough info for a final assault on the extraction point.

I wasn't living in Melbourne in 1966 so I had not heard of this incident until I stumbled upon this series on the 10th of Dec 2013 when I was told "You know nothing" .
Well, I now know a whole lot more, but if asked I will maintain that "I know nothing".
After an intensive investigation lasting more than a year, the pieces of the puzzle began to fall into place.
With the 50th anniversary of the event on the horizon, the time had come to move towards closure...
An evening was set aside and the assault began.
With a little bit of a rethink the next piece was unearthed.
Thanks Chief.

With the clues gathered, nanton34 and I reached GZ and viewed three likely spots. I was fortunate enough to guess correctly and I was taken back with both the size of the container and the swag! tftc - a fav point from me
Found this bazooka sized cache but had no UV light. Took a smiley button, left a minion. Will return for the final clue to finish the series. Thanks Chief

Holy moly what an excellent way to end an truly amazing series! I couldn't find it for a while and then remembered that it was a large cache, and that I should be looking on a large scale. And so I found my first large cache! I was very lucky to get all the numbers, in that I had a couple of dnfs in the series, but luckily in none that had numbers. Grabbed what I needed with my uv, signed the log and moved on. Thanks you so much!
Suscoe's 20th find for the day.
We had almost everything that was required for this find except for some information that we missed in a DNF we think.
So with a bit of trial and error we sorted through the options and we went for what we thought was the best fit and it was.
How cool was that!!!!!!!!!!!!
So with some excitement we signed the log and we were impressed with what we found.
We also remembered what else we needed to do and soon popped the cache back where it belonged.
Well done to the Earthbound Chief, a favourite from us for this clever mystery and for the series.

What a fabulous cache. We walked back and forth a few times before light dawned. We collected appropriate things for the last cache and set off to complete the series. This is certainly worth a favourite point. Thanks Earthbound Chief
Today we hovered through this area and managed to complete most of this series.
There was a variety of hides that kept us on our toes.
We appreciate the time and effort gone into placing and maintaining these caches for our enjoyment.

Find #659
Geobaby and I have been on the trail of the aliens for some months now. Had some numbers for a GZ from previous finds in the series but it seemed an unusual spot and we hadn't had the chance to check it out. This Saturday morning proved to be the time as it had been an early start and by 10am we were out in the field. I was looking forward to this one based on previous logs and wasn't disappointed. I found it almost right away but it really is an excellent cache. There is a great collection of swag that I guess has developed in place of the original aliens. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and collected the necessary details to keep the search going. Thanks for the cache Earthbound Chief. A favourite point for me for this one and on behalf of a great series.

Yay. It has taken roughly 2 years with this series in which I lost clues and had several trips out but finally I had a GZ. Today I had the chancr to maken the find. At GZ I first looked right at the cache but only checked it very quickly. Then I searched other areas for a few minutes before rechecking the first spot and found the cache. Awesome series and lots of fun. Also picked the clue for the final final! Thanks to EarthBound Chief for the cache - a favorite for me.
