After a couple of days up near the spit, heading back south today, but not before grabbing a couple of caches in Collingwood, nice find here, cheers
Woohoo! Happy to have found it as I've not found the last few I've searched for. Thanks!
Many thanks. Old cemeteries are always interesting. Sadly not much time for tomb reading today. All dry but logbook could do with a new bag.
Located with Ricardinho A quick find for RNZ once we worked out where GZ was. Day 3 of our Goldenbay Getaway & today we are off to explore the Aorere Goldfields, hike to Druggans Dam & the Cathedral Cave & finish up in Collingwood. We did have Wharariki on the agenda for today but we just ran out of time. Another fabulous day in paradise TFTC
Spending some time here up around Golden Bay and the Spit Of course these are not only lazy days , some caches need to go after Found wellTftc
I was heading back to accomodation and thought ( as TWIGNZ has instilled in me) just 1 more ..before I leave the regionThere was a car parked on my arrival so I waited, but not long.Found the cache fairly quickly & thought proudly Im getting the hang of this. Signed the log & replaced with care. TFTC & best new year wishes to all the loggers following in 2024
Some time ago a group of us from Wellington decided that what we should do is come down to the Nelson region for a long weekend of Geocaching. So we did. We had such a good time that just a few months later we decided to do it again. The same team to the same location, with the same agenda. The only real goal for this four day break is exploring, having fun, and finding more of the unfound geocaches in the area.
Day one of this trip took us all the way out to Cape Farewell and then back to Tākaka. We stopped at many caches along the way, and this was one of them.
Most of our find here we signed the log with the collective name of N.M.T.Y to represent the four of us: NZ_B, Mr-Mcgoo, TwigNZ, and YetiNZ.
---
Thanks to BigglesNZ for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with Geocachers like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.
[DGSc-Bulk] tagging to help me generate a list for GC30AD8 - DGSc Challenge.

Back in June, four Wellingtonians (NZ_B, Mr-Mcgoo, TwigNZ and YetiNZ) came down to visit the Nelson region. We had such a blast that we decided to do it again, and here we are!
During our time here, all found caches were signed as NMTY (regardless of whether 2, 3 or all 4 of us hadn't found it previously), or with individual names for Challenge Caches according to whomever was claiming the find.
Day 1, and we were driving from Nelson up to the most northerly cache on the Mainland, before then making our way back to Takaka for the night.
We were now heading south, and stopping along the way at many interesting caches. I already had quite a few of them thanks to a campervan roadtrip I did back in 2020 but this was one I hadn't stopped at on that trip, so it was good to get it this time around.
Thank you for setting this one up.

(# 8118) Day 1 of a caching trip to the Nelson/Golden Bay area for a repeat trip for the four amigos. Tripping with NZ_B, TwigNZ and YetiNZ. A day full of hilarity with nobody being spared being the butt of the jokes. Signed the log with NMTY.
Thanks BigglesNZ for bringing me here.

A good view from here.
Day 1 of “The Wellingtonians are back” tour with TwigNZ, YetiNZ, Mr-Mcgoo. After the last trip, with more caches for us to find, we decided we had to return. And, of course, there will be days of laughter, usually at my expense .

Kia ora rawa atu for the cache BigglesNZ.

Found with teenz04 on a holiday mission from Wainui. Quick, easy find. TFTC!
Bit of a big day today, I have to do a drivetest on the Kaiteretere South vodafone site, then a highway drive between Motueka and the Spit. But I intend to grab a couple of minute caches for the South Island 300 minutes challenge.
No rest for me, I parked up and came over to make a find... now to start the journey back to CHCH. Thanks
TFTC BigglesNZ, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 9 find(s) of 12 today, making this find #3874

We had a nice little walk in the evening and looked out for this cache. It was found very quick and is in top condition. Thanks for showing this place to us.
The first of the two cemeteries to grab some caches on very wet Saturday. A quick find with Tregearp with all in good order. Thanks BigglesNZ for a second cache today.
Found with SJT_NZ on our way up to park and walk into the gold fields. Sadly the weather turned out to be too wet. We drove in the access road a fair way, but it was hosing down and we were worried that at the only place we could park, that we might not get out later on. Another time. Managed to grab this one though. All in good order, and thanks for the cache.
Not so much of a view as the trees are growing, but definitely peaceful. TFTC
On a trip with Ruru_NZ to gather the tour caches needed or in my case not done yet. Should be able to knock them off on this trip.
Muggle worker on lawnmower but he headed in other direction thank goodness

Day 12 - Labour weekend extended road trip with Kiwicampnut - relocated to stay south of the ditch.
Arrived not long after the mower and its rider. Timing was a bit tricky as there was the usual faffing around him getting the mower off the trailer. Managed the retrieval in the end.
Thanks for the cache BigglesNZ

Found with Dracophyllum. Wouldn’t have known about this place if not for the cache. Tftc.
Quiet up here today. First cache on my solo venture not the same without my caching buddy shellsadventure. Tftc
A nice quick find in a quiet place, thanks.
Found as we explored more of Golden Bay. A great day for it, fairly quiet on the roads and on the walks.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

We biked up the hill after our dessert, an ice cream at On The Spot. Oh my did it make me puff. Day three of our trip, we stayed in Collingwood last night.
JDScout and I are on a campervan holiday from Christchurch to Collingwood to Havelock and back home to Christchurch. Geocaching is on my agenda. We both like biking and walking too. Thanks BigglesNZ for placing this geocache it is find 8105 for me.
Sadly there was no large event in New Zealand in 2019 but there are a few Mega events planned in Australia. New Zealand will have another large event in 2020 in Auckland.
======== NZ Mega 2020 ========
Planning for the NZ Mega 2020 event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. Thanks for hiding this geocache.

What a wonderfull time. I`'m visiting NZ for 10 weeks and find a lot of beautiful places. Nice views and some pretty caches. With my wife kaari74 we log some of these caches. One of them is this one. Thanks all owners for your job.
a wonderful holiday with findbobi in NZ - we had a great time caching- thanks for all the gret caches you placed for us
I grabbed the car and left hubby at the beach...had a couple of hours so thought I'd grab a handful of caches up at Milnthorpe park. Now on the way back - drove in here and came across backpackers in their car filling up water bottles.... so I waited till they left before making the find.

A family trip over the hill to Wharariki beach and a chance to grab a few caches on the trip. Homeward bound and time to step up the caching...Time for one more cache before we stop for an ice-cream...As we all looked in the general area of the gpx I managed to see what we were looking for. TFTC
It's a good job the neighbours nearby are a patient lot as I was faffing around here for far too long.
I was kind of looking in the right direction, but needed to add more depth to my search. Once I did, the cache was a quick find.

Easy find but had to get own pencil cause someone took the pencil that’s supposed to be in it.
Up from CHCH visiting family in Richmond...and now a couple days in Golden Bay for some exploring. Settled in at the Golden Bay camp ground; sweet place.
The main aim of today was poking a stick at Farewell Spit and also visit Wharariki beach. Heading back to our cabin in Golden Bay for an afternoon swim...too hot to do much else!
Stopped off in Cwood to get some supplies for tea. Cool spot. Cheers.
