Day out with my friends and their kids. Thought, bloody good spot for a cache. Checked the app and yahoo! Sent the kids in the right direction and they were beyond excited to find their first ever cache. Thanks for the hide.
A weekend camping trip out west, so why not a few caches while in the area.
A little windy, but spectacular views!
Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, tigersden

Couple of days camping at Teddington Reservoir with a group of friends. This morning I was up early and had a couple of hours to fill in before I was heading down to Smythesdale.
Wow what a stunning view. I parked up and made the shirt walk to GZ for a quick find.
Thanks tigersden and Central Vic Geocachers for adding to our enjoyment by placing this cache.

There was a Posums party to attend at Teddington Reservoir over the weekend and who would not want to miss that so I made my way to here yesterday and set up camp.
It has been a while since I have been up this way so it was good to be back up here.
I have never been into the Teddington Reservoir area before and the facilities were great for camping.
After a warm fun night with plenty of laughs and maybe a couple of drinks it was time to spend the day caching before heading out for tea.
After visiting a hut and then a tank, doing some pole fishing then a 4WD series this one was one my list so I convinced a couple of others to going and look for this one.
My trusty navigator worked out a way to get up to here and I wanted to try another way down that would lead us closer to camp.
A nice chat to the fire spotter looking down on us from his tower and the views from up here were spectacular as well.
Thanks tigersden & CentralVicGeocachers TFTC.

We were a little surprised at the T rating for this as you wouldn't make it up here in an ordinary vehicle we don't think. It was a lovely drive though and the views are vast. We had a bit of a chat with the fire spotter, found the cache and took a different route back. This was a great area to go for a drive. Thanks for showing us the views with this cache.
We somehow found a fun 4wd track to get up here, which was very enjoyable and made the experience even better! Superb views from the top and the cache was a nice & easy find. Took the easy route back down. TFTC!

Lovely crisp sunny winter day out caching with family. The kids are having a great time finding great swaps and TBs.
Visiting the Fire tower while touring. 2 Eagles floating on the currents here looking magnificent.

Camping at teddington reservoir and decided to go for a drive to the lookout. Managed to reach the top and introduced a muggle friend to their first cache! Thanks for the hide
Found with Roaming Howie and our friend
Ross for his first taste of geocaching whilst admiring the views in the crisp air and camping nearby! The car track on the map was definitely more for 4wds!!

Found it! This is why we love geocaching - following the tracks least travelled to find some really interesting out of the way places.

A bit of a drive to this one, a little scary in my 2wd corolla, and a big test for the brakes heading back down. Nice view at the top, but we didn't hang around long as there were many more caches to be found.

Many cachers and muggles around today and mostly good safe hides.

Found staying in St Arnaud for a week to attend the Mega Event, had a great time finding some quality caches around the area, this was one of them. I teamed up with My good Mate Rosstaman and Green Gecko from Brisbane. We only had a few left in a 30km circle so we headed out of town for a bit of fun in the bush. We tracked down the DGS camp and said a quick hello while we were there.

This cache was definitely on the list today and chose the 4wd track and had a nice sort of rocky ride to the top which I really enjoyed found quickly signed and replaced...TFTC
Caching in the area we picked up a few caches and this was one of them.
Excellent views today, had lunck here and a relax, cache and contents were in good condition.

What an awesome experience... we got up here just on sundown.
Freezing cold with clear skies, and magnificent views as well as an easy park and grab cache.
The best of it though was the last few red Sunrays as the sun starting to set from behind us.
Everything in front of us appeared flame red just like an expensive calendar shot.
Not quite sure if it was so red because of the angle of light, the short daylight, lack of pollution, maybe a combination of the lot.
But, whatever it was, we had a surreal experience.
It was over just before we got to the tower but we still got a great photo of the tower against the sunset.
TFTC and taking us to this location we would not have even known about.
BTW the elevation up there is 533.26 m.

A planned four-day caching trip to Ballarat and then up to St Arnaud to change some more green boxes into smiley faces.
A couple of Events are included but the main idea was to do and finish off any trails that are up this way that I have not completed. This will give me a clear start when I arrive for the St Arnaud Mega in November 2019.
The first day could not have been much worse to travel with a caravan behind into a head wind and the temperature hovering around the 44° mark. The White Beast breathed a sigh of relief when I finally arrived at the caravan park.
After partially setting up I thought a cold beer or two was more important as the main thing was water, power and the rest could be done when it was a little cooler. OK I forgot to set up the hot water but then just turning on the cold tap you got all the hot water you wanted.
I was surprised at the number of caching teams that were here or arrived after me.
The BBQ facilities which are first class in the park was well utilised all weekend and only a few metres away from the van.
A big thanks to all the caching teams that have placed caches in this area for us to find as after four days I have a lot to log.
I have been in an area without internet coverage so finally finishing off logging the last days caching in St Arnaud.

I woke up at camp this morning and had breakfast
A lovely sunrise
But as the last bits of stuff were packed into the geomobile,
it started to rain [:o]
Good timing
First stop today was the nearby summit of this hill.
And as I toured the backroads to Rostron,
and then Centre Track to the lookout,
the rain got heavier and heavier [:o]
At the top I found the fire tower,
trig point,
and picinic tables shrouded in thick fog
No chance of seeing the view at all !!
And as I hopped out of the geomobile,
the sound of thunder was rattling all around me [:o]
At least it wasn't raining too heavy like,
and the storm seemed to be to the north a bit
So on the highest point for miles,
I wandered off in the cold breeze and light rain to find me a cache
This is the sort of location and weather that lets you know you are alive [^]
Cache found,
logbook signed,
I hurried back to the geomobile that was scarcely visible through the mist.
Found the cache,
didn't get hit by lightning ... again,
and got a bit cold and wet
What a fun cache [^]
Fave dance time.

Picking up some unfound caches in the area, we had a ball and enjoyed your cache thanks
This afternoon we headed out to find caches that all in the car had not found. The view here was well and truely worth the drive. Thankfully we found and re-his the cache quickly as a 4x4 club drove up as we were returning to the car. TFTC tigersden
After a fun adventure yesterday picking up both new series with such awesome hides in the company of wozzle68 and beckNmonts we spent the day seeking out the groups unfound caches.
We took the 4WD track up to the top to get the great views with the bonus of a cache.

Great fun getting up here says Gemma... Ha. Not quite as much fun for me, having never driven a manual car before getting our new 4x4 Prado a few weeks ago. Good practice though I suppose.
I do love my AFL but not too fussed about a WCE V Pies GF so it was off caching for the arvo in my new 4x4.

Today becca85 and I left the husbands and kids in Maryborough watching the Grand Final and headed out to nab a few caches. We've just about cleared out this area but all the harder to reach ones around Stuart Mill were still on the list to find. We had a great afternoon caching and 4wding in Bec's new car to get some of the tougher ones. All nice easy finds with amazing history and magnificent views. Many thanks for the cache.

Today I was heading to St Arnaud for the weekend events, having arranged the day off from work. Once checked in at the Motel, it was off to do some more before the event. This wasn't on my planned list of caches, but it popped up as the nearest cache to my last cache, so I thought I'd give it a go.It was a nice and quick find with some lovely views to go with it.

We drove from Teddington hut to here obviously up the harder way. The first track said 4wd only so we went to the second track which did not have a sign. So this must be the easy way! Well it was for 100 metres and then it was a matter of driving carefully making sure wheel placement was spot on. Definitely need high clearance here but 2wd sufficed.
Views from the top were stunning and hopefully can post pano pic here. A fav point for the drive and the views.

MAINTENANCE REQUIRED?
[navy] I notice from recent log entries that this cache would seem to be in need of owner intervention as there are one or more comments in regard to the state of the cache log. Therefore I am temporarily disabling it so as to stop it showing up on search lists and to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary.
A basic tenet of geocaching is that the cache log needs to be signed to record a find, see here; http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#logging . At the moment this would seem to be extremely difficult if not impossible to meet that requirement in regard to this cache.
Your attention to the maintenance responsibilities of cache ownership would be appreciated and your prompt attention to any log that indicates things could be amiss will be welcomed by all seekers, see here: http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#cachemaintenance The rule is; if you can't fix it straight away then Disable it till you can and here's how; http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235
If your still not sure what I'm on about, check out this Blog: http://www.geocaching.com/blog/2015/03/you-hid-your-first-geocache-now-what/
Please respond to this situation by 14th January to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness. If you require more time, please be sure to post a "Write Note" log (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require.
And don't forget, once you have addressed the issue, post both an "Owner Maintenance" log see here; http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404 and an "Enable Listing" log see here; https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 to get your cache up and running again..[/navy]

Nice easy find on a freezing windy sunday morning. The views are certainly worth the drive. Tftc.
Cache is intact however it is completely water logged. It certainly needs some love.
Travelling around Australia with our Cat.
Staying in Dunolly we made sure to visit most of the caches here before heading out a bit further afield.
Some very interesting history in this region.
Didnt notice the needs maintenance log here. We removed all the contents to air it. Seems someone has placed the cache upside down which would let water in.
Cache should be okay for this season. Made sure to seal the snaplock bag before leaving.

This spot happened to be the location for our amateur radio activities today and I was hoping that such a lovely spot would have a cache hidden somewhere and sure enough, my cgeo app said only 60m from where were set up was a cache. So with all 3 kids in tow, we took off and my youngest daughter happened to step up on one of the rocks and the cache revealed itself to us. The views from this spot are spectacular and well worth the drive ( or cycle or walk if you are so inclined! ) and with the rain clouds rolling in and eagles soaring above, it was a wonderful experience. The log book and contents of the cache are a bit wet and some things inside are rusty so will need replacing soonish rather than later I suspect. We took nothing but left my usual bag of swag. TFTC!
Kind of wished I read the comments before coming here. I came from teddington too. My little Toyota corolla couldn't handle it. Had to walk the last 1.3 km. Either way, got the cache, and sweet view. Shame the tower is off limits.
Myself and Mini Quark found it! What a spot! I have ridden my bike up here once before but never really took it all in.

Went in van with pushbikes on board, parked at bottom in park area and rode bikes to the top. Well half rode and half walked as there were some rather steep hills to get over, especially on the push bikes. Things I'm finding myself doing just to get a cache but no regrets yet.
Nice spot this - have been up there when it snowed - unbelievable. Today no views as fogged over with misty rain at top but quite nice a bottom. Two different worlds so close together.

Magnificent views and photos taken from GZ made our venture all the more significant.
We also claimed another find while there!
