No joy for me today... found the dead kangaroo but that was just too freaky - plus I didn't have very good footwear for searching in long grass.

Searched for this one for 20 minutes with Shadow! after orienteering on Farrer Ridge. Either it's gone or I'm cache blind!
Did not find the cache and have reason to believe that it has been destroyed.
While searching the area listed on the map/gps I came across several parts that look like they should belong in a geocache. Found a nerf dart sitting on the ground and several plastic bags one which was the remains of a ziplock bag.
Was searching with three people so if it alluded us then we are all blind.

Sunday 16 September 2012 - on a warmish cloudy afternoon this cache was a quick find. Thx p2p, TFTC
Great cache! Only problem was the magpies, they kept on swooping! Our 9th cache for today.

Spent ages looking for this one. Eventually found it just lying in the grass with the top bit elsewhere (blu-tak probably isn't the best glue). Only spotted it because of the TE sticker. Looks like the container has been bashed around a bit. Thanks.
I guess the more that you cache, the easier searching for the caches become.
I drove across the road after visiting BRBT-3, and hopped out of the car. I went to the most likely structure that put me about 30m our. after searching that and the GSP still being about 7m out I thought that I must not be in the right stop.
I hopped over the fence (wow, what a day for fence crossing- see Canberra consult collection- playstation portable) this time without any problem and obtained GZ on the GPS. After thinking for a moment my eyes once again was the tools that honed in on the cache. I quickly had the little container open, log signed and place back in its little hiding hole.
TFTC.

Found on a very pleasant afternoon around the area. We came here a while ago with FurfacesLL but couldn't find the cache. So today was a perfect day to try again. I actually did freak out at GZ as there was a dead kangaroo lying there! Straight afterwards, I managed to spot the cache. A very cool container, never seen one of these before! Great cache. TFTC Nemo4, a good one!
No freaking going on here....well a little bit but that was because I stepped into a big mud puddle as I crossed at the fence as I was en route to the gym. High kicks with big muddy feet was not going to be a draw card. End of freak.
Is that a cachers trail or a roo pad. Quick grab on way to tuggers.

Final for the day, and a quick score. Glad I didn't attempt this one at night.
Thanks Nemo4.
Thanks Nemo4.
5590. [green]Was a bit later than expected getting out today so had to go do this one in the dark. Wandered around aimlessly for a while kicking rock etc and basically checking all spots that you would expect to find a cache. Well after a while of slipping and sloshing around in the wet I finally spotted it out in the open. I guess at some stage I had given it a bit of a toe poke. Managed to avoid getting wet feet until 5m from the car after logging - both feet covered in water .[/green]

4767 + 542 = 5309. A good day for a run around Canberra and Bungendore grabbing some caches with Sol de Lune.
Last of 17 finds for the day for me - that doesn't happen very often for me in Canberra these days !!!!
We both wandered around GZ for a while searching - even taking into account Tankengines comment about 7m - when finally it was Sol who made the find - Bug-ger..!! Thanks for another in the series - although we keep forgetting to get the clues !!
TNLN - TFTC !!
Cheers....

Well, that one took a few minutes, but in the end it was an easy find. Think I was reading toooo much into it.
Thanks again Nemo4
Thanks again Nemo4
I approached GZ and instantly spotted something...but was unsure about what I had found... Approaching with caution I was glad it WAS a find. Awesome hide! TFTC.
...the adventure hadn't ended yet as a couple of hours later I discovered that my beloved phone was missing :-O. Luckily with a bit of tech it was located and reunited with a happy owner

Driving past with the time to stop this afternoon we headed over to look for this cache. Before I had even managed to get some coordinates up on the GPSr shinydragon had already found the cache. Nice container. TFTC.
Had the wrong idea on this one, and by the looks of the area I wasn't alone. Took a long while but found it eventually
Wow, this was a nightmare. Trampled ground, rocks everywhere and indications of dodgy coordinates. The error TE mentioned was the best indication and it put me in the right spot, but I could still not see it until I had a bit of help. Thanks.

Yeah! Finally found it after resorting to PAF! Even then, it was hard - so many places to hide! And according to my GPS, approx 7m out, so that didn't help... Nice container though - I like it! Thanks Nemo!
It's funny how when you get yourself a decent mountain bike you want to ride it all the time. So instead of doing a drive-by I hopped on the bike and rode cross country from Fadden to GZ with the geohound. It started to rain a bit when I got to GZ and I soon became very impatient with this cache when I saw that the area had been totally gone over. Every single rock was moved from its hiding place and not put back and the grass had been pushed back from the Base Of every Tree. The clue gave me a good idea of what I was looking for, but not where. Was it under a rock? In a tree? A The Base Of A Tree? Who knows. Eventually I resorted to the SMS-a-friend and got some more specific guidance and the after about the third spot I checked it was there. The coordinates turned out to be pretty good. My latest closest cache to home found.
Thanks Nemo (I think).
Thanks Nemo (I think).
We decided to work this into a good loop walk around from the other side of the suburb to here, managing to mostly dodge the sprinkling rain. We had a similar experience to NM and found that everything was heavily disturbed. NO NEED to disturb the two cocoons on different trees!! As it was getting late in the day and really cold, and the dog barked to hurry up, after a good search we phoned a friend and then had it immediately at a tree we thought was too far away. Thanks Nemo.
Tricky little bugger, took me a couple of nights to locate him. I saw it the very first night but dismissed it. Came back the next night and found it NOT where I first saw it - odd! Also saw quite a bit of evidence of others rummaging around here as quite a bit of environment had been altered. Anyway, picked it up this time and signed the log and replaced it where I first saw it, all good. Thanks Nemo4. PS - The info here was enough for me to locate & find the "final mission" a couple of days later (Though Toy Hunters beat me & he got the ftf) Thanks Nemo4 for all the fun, I'll continue to find the rest.
Edit - Turns out I found the GZ of Catch the Shark, not The Final Mission; as Nemo4 has changed the GZ's/containers. I'll keep on looking forward to the containers in this series, and then the new Final Mission. Thanks Nemo4.

Yabba Dabba Doo *FTF* at about 2:45pm with Boot65 and Mr_roo.
This was my 6th FTF out of 6 in the series! Unfortunately it will most likely be my last.
As I had guessed from my find at the airport. Boot65 in company of Mr_roo were already on the way her. Managed to get here just in time as they were starting their search. Joint in and within a few minutes we had found it where the coordinates pointed to. Thanks for the cache Nemo.

743. Arrived at GZ with mr roo, closely followed by a "beep" and a Flintstone. The little critter was soon captured for a joint *FTF* and as a bonus a clue to go with it!. TFTC.
*FTF* with boot65 and flintstones. Pulled up to this one and we hear a beep. Joined with flintstones we start our search. Doesnt take us three much to spot it TFTC
