The track remains closed with no indication of when that situation might change so will archive this one.
Work is planned to begin on the road in early December. Hopefully this will be finished and I'll be able to enable the cache early 2023.
I was about to park on the side of the road, when I saw the wonderful parking area. Then I spotted the beginning of the walkway and I was off.
At GZ, I spotted likely hiding spot and the cache.
Afterwards, I just bashed down to the road and back to the Geovan. TFTC.

On holiday and went out for a run ... taking a pen with me just in case. Slight detour to collect another smilie
A quickfind by SJT_NZ in the first place he looked, thanks Sidewaze for a nice little stroll, all in good order.
Tregearp and I have driven past this one many times commenting that we must stop and do it. Well today was the day - a great walk through the bush on a track we hadn't been on before. With excellent coordinates the cache was located in the first place I looked. All in good order, completed formalities and replaced as found. Thanks Sidewaze for another .
I disabled my caches during Level 4 lockdown to encourage everyone to do the right thing. Now we’re moving to Level 3 I’m going to leave the decision to search for a cache or not to each individual. Remember you still need to stay in your bubble and a bit of hand sanitiser before and after handling a cache would be appropriate. Keep yourself and others safe.

Quick find on a morning walk, lovely coastal bush remnant but very dry at present, no rain here in Nelson for the past 6 weeks.
Good find this evening while out walking from a nearby Camping area we stayed at.

I had parked up my snail shell at the campground whose entrance is across the road from the cache. This is a great campground at a cheap price. My third time at staying here.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
That was one of the very fast finds, it was hardly covered and just next to the walkway.
Signed, replaced and covered a bit more.
Nice little walkway, although it wasn't raining in the last day, it was a bit slippery at some parts.

Lovely walk with nice views and great weather for it. Thanks for the hint and TFTC
This was the last of our planned 5 caches in this area and was a race along the track by the boys with an easy find for Josh. Thanks for all these Sidewaze
Driving and camping around the coast. Stopped off here to get off the highway and go for a walk. Cheers for the hide
Seventeenth find of the day with NZDi. It is Easter weekend and we have decided to take a break. Today we travelled to Motueka in preparation for a day trip on the Abel Tasman track. Tomorrow we get picked up from Marahau by shuttle and taken to Kaiteriteri, from there it is on a water taxi to Anchorage and we then make ourway back to Marahau, picking up caches along the way. And finally on Sunday we will head back home dropping in at the Mapua Easter Fair on the way.
Today wasn't supposed to be a big caching day, but some bright spark at GCHQ dreamt up the Planetary Pursuit which put paid to that. Fortunately, I have almost 100 solved but unfound puzzles, multis and challenges in the greater Nelson area, so it is time to put them to work.
This cache was not one of the solved puzzles so it was not worth the full 15 points for the Planetary Pursuit. However, every little bit counts and this contributed another five points to the tally. We parked the car as close as we could to GZ but still had about a 150m walk to the cache. Initially, I thought we were going to have to walk back along the road to get to the cache, but when we got out of the car, I noticed a track heading in the right direction, so we took that. Eventually c:geo counted down to near zero just as we came across the hinted item and a QEF SWaG (Short Walk and Grab) ensued.

Hey loving this walk in the native bush. Snagged and tagged this one. Will have to come back and walk up to the top. Not enough time today. Cheers

Taybeedragon and I are on our way to Motueka after attending the 2016/2017 Geocaching International Film Festival at apua yesterday. We are taking the slow way - geocaching the back roads!
Nice little walk through the bush here. Will have to come back one day to plot this out and find the caches up the top.

Found it 13:57 hrs. GPS reception was poor, so we went to far. But returning to the stairs, it was quite obvious where we would have hidden the cache (as well)…. Cache is in good shape, TFTC!
Thanks from two new geochachers. After a few chaches that we dnf we were able to find this one, our #7
Parked across the road at the entrance to the reserve and headed across to try and find the entry-way. Missed the obvious so bush bashed up the slippery hill for around 25 metres beforte we found the path. Headed down and checked a few places before ricardinho came up trumps. Headed back to the car by the path, that's a much better way to get back in action! T F T C Sidewaze.
Another weekend day with a Geocaching theme planned; a trip (back) over the hill (again) and head out to Mapua Bay to get the Earthcache out there as well as 'one or two' other options. We left Blenheim at around 730 and returned just after 7 so a good day out was had by all, with the Tasman weather at its best yet again. Caching crew was me, ricardinho.nz and Jojo74 and between us we navigated, found and travelled the roads, and beaches, of Ruby Bay grabbing caches as we went. Logs were signed in various combinations of Ri/Jo/Ca. We also came across a few other cachers; Wellwishers near Marriages Road, 'Snook' (I think) in Mapua athletic park, and a pre-arranged meet up with the good guy that is mr gdguys at Hoddy Estuary park.
A few more for the totals and some more yellow smiley conversion completed over that region of NZ, catching up with Wanganui/Manawatu again.

A bush bash up to this, but it was perfectly manageable. Quick-ish find then back down the track for a few more. TFTC Sidewaze.
Sunday was the second day over the hill for us this weekend. Today's target area was around Mapua, and the crew today was Jo, Capperz and Ricardinho, with most logs being signed RiCaJo, or something similar. Nelson turned on the weather, and some good caches were found and we bumped into a few cachers on our travels as well. TF all the caches to the COs.

On my own to the Abel Tasman Nationalpark I made a short stopover here, a wonderful place - naturally I had to head up to this easy cache

Quick find after stopping at McKees Domain for afternoon tea. Thanks for the cache.
We're visiting from Florida, USA. That was great fun. Thanks for placing the cache.
Is a great track and a nice change from the heat of the beach for dog and I.

Day 4 of an upper South Island holiday from Rotorua with sveppi. We actually detoured through here to grab the CANZ cache nearby, but took the wrong track so we might as well grab this cache on the way! Now back to the car and read the map PROPERLY to get to the CANZ cache!
On a mission to grab the CANZ cache, and we are on this track because.... we were silly and did;t read the description!! oops! Nice to find a cache here anyway. TFTC
Wound our way along this track which was surprisingly clear after the strong winds last night. Simple find and sign.
In Richmond for a wee family holiday. Mr TG grew up here; staying with family.
After a spot of fishing at Mapua we came out this way for a drive. Parked up and went for a wee walk. Nice spot so close to a busy road. Used to come to the domain a lot as a lad growing up (lived in Mapua as a wee fella before Richmond).....Cheers.

That sneaky little walkway in the woods is beautiful. Thanks for the cache

Found a new walking track and found a new cache...that's how it's supposed to be...tftc a beauty
Together with Silli1310 our goal today was the start of the "Abel Tasman coast track". Since we had a lot of time and the cache was directly on the way, we stopped and took a short break. Quickly the can was found and we went on to today's destination. Many thanks for the cache.
One day before starting the Abel Tasman Walk we came here and could find this cache. Thanks!
Took four kids out for some fresh air and caches after extremely strong wind died down. Lovely track and forest. Thanks for bringing us in here.
After walking from our camp in McKee Memorial Reserve to one end of the camp and then the other we found we were opposite another walkway entrance. It was getting a bit late to do the whole walk, but I could see from the GPSr that there was a cache a short distance along the path and there was enough light still to find it. Cache was a nice easy find, just where I would have expected . Retrieved a TB that says it wanted to visit every State in the USA. What on Earth is it doing in New Zealand? Will soon leave it in a cache where it has a better chance of getting back home and onto its chosen trail. Thanks for reinstating this one.
Found by Mr geodatum - where he would have put it! A pleasant track on this warm afternoon. TFTC
