One or more of the following has occurred:

No response from the cache owner.
No cache to find or log to sign.
It has been more than 28 days since the last owner note.

As a result I am archiving this cache to keep from continually showing up in search lists and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future, just contact a reviewer (by email), and assuming it still meets the current

guidelines, the reviewer will be happy to unarchive it.

Should you replace the cache after 28 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.

There has been a few DNF's on this one so I'm disabling it until we can get out for a look. It could be a while until I'm out that way with the right equipment though.

Paddled out to GZ with Gibbo003 but couldn't find the cache. Its either fallen right down the hollow trunk to under the water level or its been washed away in wet.

This was quite an effort to get out to the cache .... the boat hire people gave me 2 oars instead of just one long one for one person. It made it hard going and I did a lot of circles getting to the cache....no difference to when I am on terra firma really. But I got there... and back!!

When I did get there though my #@#*^% pen wouldn't work [:(!] so I managed to scratch something in the log book. It was a bit of a balancing act retrieving and replacing the cache but it and I were still dry at the end of it. I grabbed 2 TB's.

Thanks Coker Crew for bringing me out here. TFTC

PS:

Whoo Hoo, FTF Big GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig Grin

And it only took a quarter of a year since it was published too Red Face

Those little canoes are not the most stable of platforms and Mr TiedyeSmileys was certainly a bit on the wobbly side standing up for this (at least the water temperature was lovely if we had of went over).

No such problems and the empty log book was our reward.

We first came here with our own canoe on our first time we lived in Darwin back in 1996. Back then there was only the caravan park and couple of houses around the lake. The Northern side of the lake was accessible from the dirt road and great place camp right on the shore. Our favourite place to camp in the NT. None of those ugly houses around the edge back then. Progress here is definitely a step backwards from what was a great (free) place.

I think the next person to find this cache can probably claim a FTF, Judging by the date I think the "Grey hunters" actually found the original "You'll need a canoe" cache, which was located at the opposite end of the lake. Regards Croker Crew.
