This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache.
If you plan on repairing this cache, please log a note to the cache (not email) within the next 30 days so I don't archive the listing for non-communication.

We spent some time here searching for this one. Even with an expanded search area, and three sets of eyes we had no luck.

Very cool, had to poke the guardian with a stick to make sure it wasn't real. Cache found all well, though the log book is damp and could do with replacing. Thanks!
After finding the nearby Lake Kurwongbah this was our next stop... we found the guardian easily enough... and after poking it with a long stick we couldn’t find an actual cache... another day perhaps...
Well that scared the living daylights out of me!! Completely freaked out, took me a while to summon the courage but eventually found the micro. Logbook needs replacing as it's wet. TFTC!
Made our way to GZ where we found the cache guardian eyeing us. Luckily it was no threat and quickly gave up the logbook for us to sign. All good. TFTC
With the rain starting to fall a bit more earnestly now we were undecided about whether to attempt this cache or not. We parked on the road nearby and came in through the bush, which was mercifully not too overgrown. At GZ we soon spotted a suspicious character, ensured that it wasn’t alive with a nice long stick, and then retrieved the cache safely.

The cache guardian certainly made this, um, fun. Cache was found safe and dry.TFTC 1954jimmyjock
Thought it was going to be a Park and Grab but I was able to find a park and a short walk I soon had the cache in hand and was signing the log which doesn't have much room in it. Clever cache. TFTC

Thank you, 1954jimmyjock, for placing this cache for our enjoyment.

Popped past for a visit. I knew what to expect so left the surprise to my son and his girlfriend - funny part of the day. The log is unsignable at the moment.
Out today to do some kayaking for a particular challenge and to continue a couple of challenges which I’m working on; a traditional a day and a cache a day, I did have some target caches in mind and it was Charli’s first major kayaking trip.
After our kayaking trip around the lake the kids wanted to do another, so we stopped off at this one. A short walk into the bush to GZ was soon halted by screams and running. Checking the hide even had me using a stick to persuade the offender out, lol it’s the cache. Then laughs and giggles were had by all and a story to tell later to mum. Unfortunately we were unable to sign the log as it is in tatters and a little wet. Thanks for a great hide and experience, however some maintenance is required to the log.

Scared the beejeebus out of me and the geokids. After much screaming we retrieved it but were unable to sign the log as its disintegrated. Thanks for the scare!
Great little cache. I thought for a moment it was one of the 11 things in AUS that can kill you! Excellent hide. TFTC
Hatzofff, Snickersallan, echocage1, Zipzap1 and patrol14 are with me as a caching sextet over on the dark side (according to the latest geo art, anyway).
I saw this one on the car Nuvi, and knew straight away what it was from a previous visit. But why no smiley on it? Time to investigate.
While the others visited, I checked my original visit, 4.40pm on the 29 th September 2016! I forgot to log it! Nevermind, today will do.
Log signed and replaced on January 21, 2020 at 12:39 PM. TFTC, 1954jimmyjock.

Out with geofriends for a day of finding targetted caches. On our way to one we quickly stopped for this cache. Hatzofff made the find while I stood away from it in case it attacked. SL then returned as found.
Found on 21 January 2020 at 12.38pm. TFTC, 1954jimmyjock.

It gave me great pleasure to allow my wife to find this one. I had a feeling after reading previous logs what I was looking for so I let her take the lead. I will treasure this moment for a long time. FC point from us. TFTC
Found this one with Quesera great cache thank you for placing this one here for us to find.
Sharpem and I decided to collect some smileys. We parked in a safe place and off to gz. I saw something and calmly said look it's a ..... .sharpem got worried and said keep your distance but I slowly went forward and there was the cache. I ooohed while sharpem aaahed. What a fantastic cache. I see why it has so many FP. Giving it one also for the great cache and the fun
On our way back from Brisbane, decided to take the Dayboro Road home and do some caches on the way. Talk about X marks the spot - there was a biro on the ground right next to the cache, and it still works!! TFTC 1954jimmyjock
I arrived in fading light & was REALLY careful til I confirmed it qas, indeed, the cache! T4TC, indeed
My house is full of the neighbourhood children so I've left them with Sandra and headed out for some peace and quiet and to collect caches for the Mystery at the Museum series. A nice quick find although I had to check the container wasn't what I thought it was...
Thanks!!

luckily for stephyy she found it cause if i did , i’de be running for the roads with no hesitation TFTC
Found it a while back and got to scared to look for the log we bolted at the sight of it!!!
Had an idea of what I was looking for here based on previous logs. I was wrong - it was worse than I imagined. Loved every minute of it though. Great hide. TFTC!
This is my first hunt, probably should have started with an easier one? Lots of fallen branches & undergrowth around.
What a busy road this was today. Parked across from GZ and had to wait quite a while to run across. It was a quick find and thankfully due to reading the logs the night before, we knew what we were looking for and we did not get scared! Very cool cache construction - haven't seen one done like this before.
Scared off by the no entry signs, I parked down a side street and walked back to the bush across the road. I was starting to wonder what sort of fun awaited me when I approached gz, and soon enough I saw the tell tale sign of a possibly dangerous creature lurking.
Using a sticky cache checker, I established that it was not alive and retrieved the cache (not by hand).
Clever construction and very life-like.

That took me long then I hoped. I was looking everywhere then decided to look where I didn’t and there it was. Poked it several times just to be sure TFTC
After parking near the entrance to the Scout camp, I thought this will be easy. I was further away than I thought!!
Stumbled through the area listening to the neighbours unitl I came across GZ.
HOLY DOOLEY!! Scared the living bejeebbies out of me. After I regained my composure, I grabbed a stick to remove the cache.
This definitely gets a favourite from me.

This cache scared the life out of Clan-mess (and was so funny to see).
After realising that we were looking in the right place, we signed the log and placed back to liven up the day for the next cacher.

Had a small heart attack when i saw it 10 cm away from my foot. W found it
Fracking smarta$#@! I nearly had a bloody heart attack! This was a great cache! Thanks for the adrenaline rush!
Out for the day with nikid1. I'd read a couple of previous logs while we were driving to this cache & was a bit wary after reading one of them. Think my heart stopped for a minute at GZ!
Was my job to grab the log & sign it.

Out with KerriMG and very glad that she made the find here. She got the job and retrieving and signing the log. TFTC.
Quick detour to grab this cache as it fills one of my few remaining hidden date spots. Spotted the cache quickly. Great container - I sent my wife a picture of me holding it and she was very confused! TFTC.
Thanks for this humorous find!! Beware of snakes when looking for this geocache!!
Finally got to the cache and renewed the log and container. All is good again until too much rain takes over. Enjoy caching!

Grabbing some "interesting" caches out and around the place today, I had checked the map and this one looked like it may fit the bill, especially with the short amount of time I had left and the goal I had in mind today.
Parking the car I made the short journey to GZ where I was careful to watch my feet and not trip over anything. Found the cache very quickly, testing it first just to be absolutely sure.
Reattached log holder to its container, as they were found separated, however the logbook is very wet and falling apart.
Thanks for the cache hardingduo.

Couldn't sign the log far to wet. Picture taken and nice to be back caching with fulldeck. Tftc
After a paddle out on Lake Kurwongbah this morning with Crookedpete, Swellerfungus, LadySim, and Dez(JeznDez) I headed out to grab a few more caches before heading for home.
Can't say I was too pleased to see what awaited me at GZ, taking a couple of rapid backwards steps despite clutching my walking pole which I had brought along for just this purpose. Once I confirmed I was in no peril, the container was sighted and the logbook signed. TFTC

After finishing off some housework I had time for a quick cache hunt before picking up my daughter from the train. My wife threatened to come with me but knowing I was driving past North Lakes I feared there would be more shopping than caching so I left her at home.
It was a win-win situation. I won because I found a cache. Her win was.., well no one cares. I had spent too much time this weekend shopping over caching.
I parked near the scout hall and followed the phone until it brought me face to face with a cache guardian from hell. There was no need for that. I'm sure it didn't move and even though there were plenty of sticks nearby, none seemed long enough to guarantee my safety.
Finally I mustered the courage for a scratch and when I discovered the guardian was full of rigor mortis I stuck my hand in. I was still worried that a real live guardian was making love to the fake one and my pants were packed. Haven't we all made the mistake of making love to something plastic!. Haven't we?
Log signed and cache reset and I was more worried about the guardian in my pants. tftc
