After getting (finally) the puzzle cache, I had some time waiting for others who did the walk to whispering falls. So I took the car back here, already looked up where to park when coming. Glad I did that, as suddenly there was no more coverage and I couldn't really see where to go.But I had an idea and once close I saw something that was a great fit to the title. And indeed, tucked into the end it was.
Our first time out caching in a while, this was our fourth find of the day. The cache wasn't where we thought it would be on stopping the car, but once we stopped being lazy and got the gpsr out we were led to well hidden cache. TFTC
I looked for the 'easy way in' and found something that really fit the bill. As I approached GZ, I found myself farther away from GZ than if I had just went more directly. I doubled back, then walked to a point closer to GZ. I looked around and found a way in that was a little better than the worst way. I wasn't about to use my hands to search in a few places, so I grabbed a stick and started poking around. As I worked my way around, I spotted the right place and the cache. I can see why there was a problem with communications. TFTC.
Out and about with Ricardinho today and we needed to do a walk as part of our training, so we did a bit of the Hackett track, namely the Chromite Loop track. Thank goodness we went the way we did, a grunt up & a bit more gentle on the way down A stunning morning out exploring my back yard, mental note for next time, bring snacks!!
Bit of a bush bash for Ricardinho, I grabbed the car & waited on the road for him

We got this one on the way out. It was a quick find once I spotted something that I didn’t see on the first look. Aha. That makes sense. Cache duly signed then I escaped up the bank to the road where RG had the car waiting for me. TFTC SoBad.
Out and about with RG1972 today and we need to do a walk as part of our training, so we did a bit of the Hacket track, namely the Chromite Loop track.
Bit chilly in the shade on the way in, but we soon warmed up. Did it anti clockwise, so the up was gruntier. Made for a descent a little kinder on the knees. Mostly good success. This filled in the morning then we popped off to the event in the early afternoon. Thanks all.

Took a while to find this one. was about to give up when spotted a clue a bit further down the road and backtracked. The cache is well hidden which may explain why it hasn't been visited for a while
Passing by for some other caches so stopped and grabbed this one on the way past.
A quick find in the obvious place. All in good order. Signed log and placed as found.
Thanks again for another SoBad cache.

Which is the best approach, SJT_NZ tackled it from both sides and met at the GZ, a quick find and all in good order. TFTC
I guess it is 6 years now since the locals were disconnected hence the bush is starting to encroach. We saw the disconnection and managed to get to gz with just a few scratches. After so much rain the decent was a little fast ! TFTC.
Found the side track but soon realised that we could not drive all the way down so hopped out and soon spotted the feature where the cache was hidden.
We are out trying to find as many solved Nelson puzzles as we can today, so are basically ignoring Trads. We made an exception for this one that had been dislodged from its hide the last time we were out this way. Walked in to GZ and this time quickly located the cache. thanks.
This took a bit of hunting but after re-reading the "details" and a bit more of a hunt i spotted something that caught my attention and there was the cache something more than just flip flops are recomened for footwear as i pretty soon realised too. Cheers
In Richmond for a wee family holiday. Mr TG grew up here; staying with family.
Heading up to the end of the valley for a swim and a wee walk of the start of the Hackett. Strolled down the access road then scrambled up...soon had the cache in hand. Cheers.

Phone was bouncing all around so we went cross country about 40m more than we needed tftc
Another day trip into the Nelson region with the Aniseed Valley trip through to Hackett Track top of my list of must do caching days, for now. Backed up with a trip to the Grampians up to the Lookout it had all the ingredients of a successful days caching; 2 Earthcaches, a few puzzles, 2 possible new D/T combos to try and advance the grid filling a bit more, and a smattering of Traditionals to keep the numbers ticking along nicely. Back in the co-pilots seat was the Seagnoid also hoping for a couple of unique D/T combos, we'll see later if he was successful or not. A nice early 0700 start as we've lost a bit of evening light already so making the most of daylight hours when they are about.
First cache for a while along this road after a glut further back. Parked at the forestry turn off and strolled down the nearby track which got a bit muddy at the bottom. Back up the hill for the a-ha moment and the cache was grabbed. Back up to the road that way and on we go

[green] On a geocaching road trip with capperz, except that we spent most of the time walking . I love going bush!
But first we had to get there, so a few caches along the way, like this one. Took the long way to the cache, took the short route back. Looked like blackberries and pine plantation. Disconnected??? Ah! I see!

Nelson's Great Storm of 2011 was our first experience of what the weather in NZ can do when it puts its mind to it, and while we were not directly affected, friends who live nearby had a nervy night as the rivers flowed down the Grampians hillside.
Visiting this area today, if the items at the GZ were anything to go by the damage here was quite significant and it's not surprising the COs friends were disconnected for some time.
Once I found the easy route to the GZ, the cache was easily spotted and the log signed.
Thanks

A tricky treck but taking the low road paid off over going direct. TFTC and greetings from England!
Another few scratches on the legs today! ! Soon spotted the cache site, took a couple of minutes to reach it .scrambled in one way and out a different way .TFTC
On a geocaching holiday with tmann421 seeking out caches at the top of the South Island. Thanks to all the CO's for making this such a memorable trip.
Another good hide here.

Glad we didn't try to drive down the track, could well have ended badly. Thanks to the title, it was a quick find with Contastimo and his sister! Great hide, thanks!
#7791. One of the hides that makes you wonder how the CO ended up placing it there in the first place. The last part of the 4WD has turned into a creek. Still, I managed to keep my feet dry. TFTC.
I wonder if anyone uses the river access road anymore as it's in a pretty dreadful state.
As we got close to GZ, thought I'd let StreetWalker retrieve this one. And he did. TFTC.

Nice work, looks like a popular river spot based on the number of footprints about. Found the lid off the cache but the contents are dry. Cheers
I found this cache while out with my Dad (Biggles) and dog (Fozzie). It wasn't where he remembered finding it but it was in a good place. Thanks for the cache, Flying Phoenix.
For some reason we had never looked closely at this cache and had assumed it was further along the road Today we were in the area to hunt some outstanding caches and this one was naturally on the list. There was clear evidence of the "disconnection" experienced in this area. A glint of sunlight at the right time and spot made this an easier find than it might otherwise have been. TFTC.
We approached GZ the easy way and after a brief inspection confirmed the cache name. A nice autumn day perfect to clean up a few caches and have fresh blackberries available for consumption any which way. TFTC
I really expected to write a log about finding this in the hands of the CO as she replaced the missing cache. However I spied it in the undergrowth on the way to the original hide. Doesn't quite make up for today's many favours but at least its a good start. TFTC #4543
Cache check with a helpful fellow cacher. Cache site altered but cache found a few m away by other cacher. Replaced in a position very close to original.

Reliable report suggests this is missing with new work in the area so disabling until it can be checked.
Very soggy around here, found and signed and then headed down to the river to discover a new swimming hole for summer! Thanks for the hide!
Nice One!!!!!!!!!!!Second one up the valley. Bad timing!!!Zeroed in to GZ and guess what? Down it came, big time. Now who would have thought it would rain today. Yeh, right. Hasty retreat. Shall return to complete all of the necessary formalities. Great spot. Thanks
Disconnected indeed! It was certainly a major inconvenience to the locals when their road was cut off; we too know a few who were impacted. Out caching with the family today with the goal being a short walk up to Falls Junction and back. No trouble spotting the likely hiding spot of this one. TFTC.

From the cache name I had expected to find the cache in a slightly different spot. Overshot the access and had to turn round and park across from it. Glad I didn't attempt to drive to it! No problems with the cache. Funnily enough I'd bumped into the COs while on a great long walk further up the valley. Happy International Geocaching Day and TFTC, Biggles.
The sun was out, so I decided to explore Aniseed valley for the first time. Found the alternative route easy enough. Plenty of water still about down here, but the cache was safe and dry. TFTC
Spring was in the air so it was an opportunity to head up the Roding for a clean up.
This provided a chuckle How do you come across these opportunity's? Good to get this out of the way before Spring has really sprung. It looks like the blackberry is going to be quite virulent shortly.

Having a cleanout of the gps before i head away for work again and found a couple of unlogged caches. tftc
The power of water eh!!! It's effect still very much in evidence. Chose to walk to GZ - - a good decision. Thanks for placing this cache.
As I took the easy route in, I was wondering what this location had to do with the cache description. But all was revealed at GZ. How did you find this location???

Left the car headlights on high to get me most of the way, then good coords got me to something that looked like something else I'd seen before, and yes indeed, there it was. Mind you, I did point the Colt down 1m further before I realised that was beyond foolish and back out again. Nice one to round off a 3 FTF Wednesday. After a 4 FTF Tuesday. Now on to the Thursday one, I hope. Thanks for placing this cache. #CS#
Time to get out the bike for a ride. I was starting to wonder if I had dodgy coords, but as I got closer, I could see I was heading right direction. Fun in SPD roadie shoes too. The nearby road (Mortons) was a favorite night ride for our Tuesday night group. Really good cache this one. And...thanks for still having some findable ones among your latest tsunami.
