#435. Easy park, stroll in the park (whatever the correct spelling!) and grab. Yes, two caches, both pretty well uncovered. Signed log in the newer cache & took the older one away to recycle. Put a bit of natural cover over the cache. Tftc fozzmiester.
Bit crazy with 2 containers looks like one old and one new. Found the right log book to sign. The dry one all good here. TFTC
Signed a log unsure if it was the correct one sorry couldn't clean it up at the time TFTC
I was searching in the hint object and saw a plastic bag half buried in the mud. I pulled it out and found it was a putrid cache bag, containing notebook, various bits of swag, mud and water. The notebook wasn't in signing condition. Then I spotted the two containers on the other side of the hint object. The bag must have been the one found by atechnz back in January, and perhaps replaced in 2014. I was out on my early morning run so didn't want to carry a dirty bag around with me -
perhaps the next finder can remove it?
I signed the correct log - and yay! that's my final dot-day filled in - a little project I've been working on for about 18 months. Last year on this day I was flying back from Europe and 30 July didn't exist for me, so it has taken another year to complete the calendar. TFTC!

One more stop in Johnsonville before heading home. It had been a stunning Autumn day today and this reserve provided some nice late afternoon views. Once done checking out the view I set about find the cache. GPS coords seemed highly accurate and when I was at GZ+0 I spotted the cache. Curiously there were two containers, the smaller one with the cache and a larger empty one which looks like it had been the cache at same stage. Wondering if one should be inside the other I found they didn't fit so I just left everything as is. Thanks for bringing me to this nice spot.
Quick find following GPS + hint. As others have said: 1 empty large container, 1 smaller. TFTC fozzmiester.
My GPS took me about 10m away from the cache's location - plenty of hint objects there too! B found it. TFTC
Found it and only opened the 1litre container. My geohound helped me pretend that we had lost our ball.
Hmm, this was an odd one at first but figured it out soon enough. At first I found an open and empty 2L sistema with a bit of worn camo paint and its lid not far from that. I proceeded to put it back together and wrote my log on a leaf On going back to the area to return it, I found a 1L container which I believe is the real cache. Filled out the logbook and returned them both to the same place, with the larger container just sitting under the smaller one.
Thanks for the hide - I'd never been to this area before. Great spot, and great view!

Found the cache fairly simply thanks, however unfortunately there was no container, just a bag that was slightly opened and a very wet logbook, pencil/sharpener and some items.
As I'm a novice, not sure about removing to fix it up.

An afternoon with the kids exploring the wellington region during the school holidays. Lovely wee cache for the kids- thanks.
Went treasure hunting today especially for the souvenir. Been to this park many times with the dog. Nice to finally turn the closest cache to our home into a smiley face. TFTC
Found with Mrs JY (aka Mummy). I made a swap for a tiki which is going to be my Matariki treasure - it's currently Matariki and we are doing lots of things to celebrate at daycare. TFTC
There's a lovely view ftom the top of the hill here. The hint, together with a very clear geotrail made for a straightforward find. Dropped off a trackable. Thanks
quick and easy find to day by[Blue]taybee nz[/Blue]

A quick park-and-grab. Everything dry and in good condition. It's worth climbing a few paces for the view from the crest. TNLNSL TFTC
TFTC. I gave the reigns to my 7yo nephew on this one. He found it all on his own then gave himself his own geocaching name! (Toto7). Saw only one 2 legged muggle and one of the 4 legged variety. A good midweek find.
Great spot to bring the dogs for a summer evening romp. We strolled up the hill and found the cache straight away. All in good order. TFTC
Nice stach of goodies. Located with the help of my nephew Adam and neice Holly. Their first caching adventure. TFTC
I found the cache sitting out on the grass for all to see, and replaced in a spot consistent with the hint. Thanks very much for the cache.
Easy find, was left exposed and not well hidden so rehid as best as I could
A quick find with TregearP on Good Friday morning. Found more under the flax than the hebe, but replaced where found. Everything nice and dry.

#1616 After a DNF up the road, I had to end the day on a find so drove down here in the hopes of ending on a good note. Quick trip up the hill and soon spotted the cache- a little out from where the hint suggests but still out of sight. Neat view from the top of the park. TFTC! I can go home satisfied now
#250. Dinner at a friend's house, overlooking the park. Looked like a straightforward hide, so I sent the kids to find this one on their own, as I watched from the window. Yep, no problems. Needed a good find, as we'd had 3 failed missions prior to this one. Tftc!
Didnt find last time (ages ago) but was an easy find by friend Barb. Found with Selesi. TFTC
Found by a tame muggle we often invite along on our caching trips. Found with UlmusLynx TFTC
Parked up near this one with the geokids for my cache of the day. Was a little disappointed for the kids that the playground(?) that appears on the satellite view is no longer present. Had to have quite a bit of a rummage before I got my hands on the cache. TFTC
Pretty sure there was a guy across the valley watching me from his window, had to leave, didn't even see it
Quick find while in the area, missed this one a while back when it was out of action. TFTC, #7384
#215. Nice easy find with hint objects. Quickly located by E. Interesting park with a great view down the valley towards Grenada and hills behind Horokiwi. Good size cache. Dropped off geocoin (NSW lighthouses) today. TFTC
Called in to look for this while killing time before the Christmas 'Do'. Unfortunately, even after a google, to see what a hebe is, we still couldn't find it. I'm back in the area next weekend, so will have another look.
Mrs Biggles and I spent the weekend in Wellington and managed to find a few caches while we were and made it to two events as well. After we left the nearby event we had time to find a couple more caches before heading to the next place we needed to be. I wandered up to GZ and after a brief search the cache was found. Nice views from the top too! TFTC, Biggles.
Pleased to find the area deserted after being thwarted a couple of weeks ago when a muggle sat himself down right at GZ, took out his e-reader and began reading just as we were about to begin the search!! Quick find today. Enjoyed the view at the top. TFTC
All was clear when I started but then kids arrived on the western side to play which put me in the invidious position of an old guy lurking in the bushes while kids played nearby! Signed the log as quickly as possible and made a hasty exit to the east though I really wanted to proceed to the west and had to take the long way round.

Lovely meander up the hill in the late afternoon sunshine and quick find with Princess-Emily. TFTC
Quick find this morning in the rain. Cache all in order. Quickly signed and replaced. TFTC.
The wind had turned around from the direction it was blowing in August and September as it was a strong, cold northerly today! Good spot to visit with good views. And the geohound enjoyed her Sunday afternoon run around. Straightforward find. #580. TFTC.
Quick find in the rain and cold southerly this morning. Had visited previously when the cache was missing, so nice to be in the area and pick this one up. As I knew the hunting area, walked straight up to it and made a quick find.
Interesting to see on the google-maps there used to be some kind of playground or climbing structure in the vicinity, that is no longer there.

A night time hunt for this one. I only noticed this cache today so paid a visit. Thanks
Apollogies for the extended outage but the cache is finally back in place and ready to go. The container has been downsized to a 1L systema.
Out and about midday so stopped in Johnsonville to look up this cache. Strolled up to have a look at the view, interesting perspective of the valley and the new developments over the other side. Checked one side of the bush than came around to the other before finding the cache. Suspect a small amount of cache creep may be possible. A nice large container - great! TFTC
Had to take a crook work mate home from the port to J'ville, might as well grab this if I can when no muggles are out walking dogs due to howling wind and sideways rain. [8]
Quick find when at GZ using the cell rather than the gpsr, and trying out c:geo
Might take a few more finds but running all three apps should make triangulation easier.

Another handy one to knock off an August day. Sounds like you need to submit a correction to google, believe it or not, they actually respond and update map problems really quickly.

Took a wee bit for the GPS to stop jumping around, so I think we investigated all the shrubery in the vicinity! Got it in the end though. TFTC
Another one of the close to home caches ticked off for 31 days of Geocaching. The kids had found this before and today was in a different spot (off by ~4 or 5m), but was exactly where my phone was telling me it should be
