Found easily enough although log needs replacing. We didn’t have a spare with us. Great area for a cache. Tftc
School holidays have started and that means time for a road trip. Sydney to Mt Gambier via the Little Desert, then back home via the Great Ocean Road, Melbourne and the coast back to Sydney. Caves, rock climbing, cache and lots of photos along the way. Cheers to all the cache owners who placed them along my route. All the ones we found were in good condition unless i have made a note.
We were visiting Dad (Super Pop as the great grandkids call him) and we decided to cross the border and have a days caching in Mt Gambier.
This was to be the last for the day as the rain had really set in now. We headed off to a likely location and just started searching when Diane looked at the GPS and found out that we were still a long way from gz. It just shows that you shouldn't assume anything but I know we will continue to do so. Once at the correct gz the cache was spotted fairly quickly and not too long after we were adding our names to the log.
Thanks Cruiser95 for showing us this interesting site.

the windy bit was right. Found on the return from Portland. Found the cache after 5 mins or so. Gps wouldn't settle on gz.

A quick return to Victoria for this one, once at GZ, I was able to make a quick find.

Our last day at Mount Gambier, before heading east, to catch up with muggle friends.
After lunch, we drove south to Nelson for some sightseeing and caching.
Lots of nice country to drive through, and we found a good variety of hides.
Cache was located after a short search, signed and replaced as found.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Cruiser95, for us and others to find.

Cache found on the Joy of SECS tour with four-fun, Freddo, thewhitedoggang and Team Waldron. There were a stack of boxes to find so we pushed on. We even had a quick round of Mountopoly and a couple of Powertrails to add to the fun. The weather was cool and sometimes icy so wet boots were the order of the day.
Bloody Nanos! Spawn of satan. Burn down the Nano factory, and exterminate anyone who sells Nanos.

A 3 day caching expedition with Freddo, Astro, WhiteDogGang an Four Fun.
Apologies for the generic log but we did a few trails and some of the Mountopoly series. We also did most of the BLE series.
The mozzies were full on at times and it rained most of the first day.

Pulled up to this area, first thing we notice is the amount of kangaroos there were around this area, so huge & bouncing off over fences, they are wonderful creatures to watch. They sit there staring at the car then bounce away. Kids enjoyed watching the kangaroos. Then thought, we have a cache to find, let's go. Looked where we thought it was but nope, then read the description/hint & looked further down, Geomum finds this one. While signing log, kids run over to a head skull of some sort. TFTC
Took me a while but found it in the end!! good little hide..
Cheers for the cache!

Well hidden cache, lucky for the little give away showing or it would have been a DNF for us. TFTC
Bit windy today, from a South Easterly direction. Sneaky hide. Found with Team Frarog. He just beat me to it with smartphone. I was using my Gpsr, but at least I was watching for snakes. Tftcsl. Log is nearly full and slightly damp.
Ha Ha was walking around with it in my pocket, whilst Old Stratty was hunting around. Finally let him see it. TFTC
Tricky, tricky, tricky! Very creative place to hide your cache and was nearly about to give up. Lukily we perservered and found it
Something wasn't right !!
No windiness [:o]
I hope it is still OK to log this find on a calm and slightly foggy morning [:o)]
I met 'Fatso' near GZ... he's shed some weight [:o]
There are lots of wombats in this area, but I think that one is dead !!

#3541 We were in town for the BLE event and after touring the Princess Margaret Rose Caves we set out to continue collecting some nicely hidden caches in the area - this was one of them. We pulled up near GZ and the girls meandered over to GZ and soon located cache in a great little niche for it. There are quite a few water tanks around the area - no doubt they were relied upon heavily recently with the fires. Our thanks to Cruiser95 for the cache. Cheers [^]
Found on way to the caves. Found as a part of the Big Little Event. Beautiful spot. TFTC when signing caught up with SnapHappy.
Found at 11:04 AM GAFF5 in the company of Phetlern, Squalid and ruralslicker. Not so much wind today, but just a nice breeze. Interesting way to get water into the tankers.

Hoping to collect some more smilies; on a Sunday run from the Big Little Event with Pprass, Rural Slicker and Squalid. A first for us - to see the way the fire trucks are lowered beneath the standpipe - looks very efficient.

Sunday at BLE and Huurtle, Dennisc52 and I set off to replace a cache which had been lost in the recent bushfires
There were a few caches on the way and, luckily for me, the boys were happy to head for Dartmoor where a couple of months ago in 40 odd degree heat while riding my motorbike back from Halls Gap I had stopped briefly, seen the nearby caches and just been too darn hot and tired to get any...... so today was the day [^]
Later on, we met up with Honeysucker and firesafe and continued caching until well after dark: 4WDing on dirt roads, beaches and through the forests [^]
A HUGE day of attempting 47 caches: 45 successful locus cache events [^] and only 2 DNFs
Now when there is a cut out in the ground, you just have to drive through it....don't you[?]
Luckily that didn't affect our ability to cache and a find was made

Certainly a bit out of the ordanairy but, I suppose, water is a bit scarce out here.
