Day 13 of our 3 week break in the north, we spent the day exploring the sights of Dampier & this was one of the caches we found on our tour of the area... Not sure we went to this the correct way but we saw some old boats on our walk to GZ that had the kids fascinated . They also thought they we going to catch a muddy, so we left them to it whilst we hunted the cache
TFTC Matthew Supertramp... Nice spot, cheers [^]

Trekked along a shell grit beach and found in poor condition. Container broken beyond repair. Had nothing with us to secure cache or replace container. Tftc!!
Great little stroll along the foreshore to the GZ. Cache found quickly however the container is destroyed from the elements. It is in need of a CO visit asap. Sorry nothing with us to replace it with. TFTC and bringing us to this fantastic place.
Bit hard walking from playground and sand hot with no shoes but we persevered and found it.
If someone has a sistema container, could you please replace. Needs a new one badly.
Lovely Karratha day. Found the geocache reasonably easy covered by a few rocks
Nice Little Walk along the beach, Our First find? We added a Squid Jig(No sharp bits included) to the cache that we found while walking to it, Thought it was a perfect addition!
TFTF! Took the beetle, left a keychain Great views of the harbour. Spinifex is green, hahaha!
Did a few caches whilst in Karratha this was a nice easy one

Ebony’s first find. A short walk over he rocks and spinifex. Sure is hot up here.
Day five of Barnzy12 and Cravo10 adventure to the Northwest of WA, filling out boots with LGAs, rare DT, old caches, and good old fashioned red dirt!
Today we had an easier day planned with not so much driving! Staying around the township of Karratha, we had a nice sleep in and then warmed the car up on the way to Dampier to pickup a couple of caches on the way to meeting local cacher grandadbazza at the same location as dimor recent event.
We had a crack at the archived cache nearby but couldn't get it from its hides hole so left it alone even with a previous finders assistance, after a good chat with Barry we parted ways to collect some very rare virtual caches around the burrup peninsula and some semi off road caches including an earth cache.
We were about two thirds of the way through out Dampier caching run when notifications came through for a new multi not too far away, so we completed the 4x4 duties and then backtracked all the way to the red dog statue and claimed a very swift FTF some 1200km from home. Special thanks to dimor for a well put together multi that was simple enough for us simple minded cachers.
We then continued along the plan collecting as many caches around Dampier as possible, with some not attempted due to the extreme heat and the amount of caches hidden ontop extremely hot rock piles which have burnt our hands enough
After lunch we collected a few more smileys around Karratha before heading to Roebourne, Wickham and point Samson to collect all the smileys in those towns to make tomorow Journey a little easier, as we now only have to detour to Cossack on the small ish drive to port hedland.
On the way home I got the camera out and started taking some photos of the sun setting "the famous Pilbara sunset" trying to remember all the settings to get a great photo
A huge day out collecting 3 virtuals, heaps of traditionals, several multis, a puzzle and an earth cache. Full on day for caching finishing up around 8pm with some take away atop a small lookout hill.
Looking forward to heading to Port Hedland tomorrow via Cossack, Whim Creek and a few other sights!

We finished up on the Dampier area after seeing my favourite little island around sams island, such a wonderful spot just a hop skip and jump from he shores of Dampier.

Another smiley added here today on a 5 week Pilbara and Kimberley break, as a child growing up in the Pilbara, this is my old stomping ground, thanks for the memories and TFTC
I had a very pleasant walk along the beach to get this one. I wondered if I was going to have trouble as there are so many hiding places, but I zeroed in on it quite quickly
Well what a walk from the palms park area for the kidlets so the family stopped off to enjoy the waves while I continued on the walk.
Approached this from the harder way and rock jumping in thing amongst spinifex isn't good on the feet but thankfully had cache in hand in seconds.
Nicely hidden but the container is looking old and soon to be brittle. Hopefully none of the rocks covering it get dropped on it
A nice walk back to the car. A lovely area

Boomer hot and lots of flies but the kids wouldn't give up!! Luckily the find didn't take too long! Added in a few extra swap items as there wasn't much in there.
Had a good giggle reading the description of this cache. We drove down to the marina and accessed the cache from there. Not so far to walk as it was raining. It would be a pleasant walk along the sand from the other direction though. Nice easy find. No TB in cache. Such a shame a number of these go missing because they are not logged in or out. TFTC
I finally got around to looking for this cache. We had a very pleasant afternoon at the Dampier Markets, watching the end of the very challenging Red Dog Relay and listening to the Murder Mouse Blues band. Picked up a curry for dinner then off to the Moonrise to watch a movie. Thanks for the cache Matt
Funny you should mention Red Dog.....
I'm currently up here working on Blue Dog - which is the prequel.
Thanks for helping me get out and explore the area!

A prickly scramble in the school holidays. TFTC! ! Took Cape Leewin souvenir coin. Left a bird thing.
Great find! I've been wanting to do this one for ages and finally went for a walk to do it....TFTF
Grabbing a few smiles while on team Stickyfeet's northern adventure

Luckily today this one didn't get away from us. We came in from the south side of the beach where a number of yachts are sitting in dry dock. It was a bit of an easy rock scramble, and of course there was spinifex, even on the beach! After the GPS settled it didn't take us long to find it.
